This is not fair!....This is a tough one!
They are both great, and stand a big chance of winning the title. They are both my Favourites and choosing one over the other is really difficult, and mean.
Shaza:
She has an amazing voice, and is by far the best in the Academy. On every live show, she stands on the spot-light and gives it 100%. Everytime, Hilda introduces the upcoming act and I hear the word "Shaza", immediately I know it's going to be good before the first note of the music is heard. She is a perfectionist when it comes to singing. There have been times where she completely moves me. She has developed a reputation for being a powerful singer, not just in voice, but also in presence.
Marwa:
She has a great voice but not as great as Shaza's. Whereas, when it comes to acting Marwa does a better job, especially in terms of expressions.
Let's not forget the age difference between them though. If Marwa is this good at this young age, then what will she be like when she gets older?
- Amazing probably.
I also think that the story of the love-triangle has been doing her a favour. When I come to think about it, all the attention mainly concentrated on what she did next. If you look back at the previous Star Academy articles, you will notice there have been several concerning that. In fact, there have been discussions in articles that aren't related to that, that have been going on. It was so normal and frequent that people would open up the discussion as soon as something was shown on the dailies.
And there have been so many times where things would go out of control and every post would express nothing but hate to either Amel or Marwa, and sometimes to one another.
I personally have stood up more for Marwa.
Some comments were so nasty and rude. In fact, forget the comments, and remember the sms night. That’s how pathetic and mean people can be.
That girl has been through a lot. And others haven’t made it any easier for her, remember the two love birds that were sent to Ahmed, and Amel. Sometimes, things were so difficult and I sympathised for her.
For all those hard times, I would love to see come out with head up high knowing that she is a Trus Star, no matter who and what are in the way.
And it’s not just the hard time, but also the great voice that would make me just as happy to see he win.
I would love to see them both in the final. But the last spot will be between Carlo and Mohammed.
And the winner, has to be a girl :) Come on!
But, the question is....who?
I personally would love to see Shaza win because I love strong voices. But if Marwa wins, then I would be just as happy.
Whatever happens, they are both True Stars, and I am sure they will have a bright future.
Best of luck to both :)

I also forgot to add that the Academy isn't just about voices, it's more than that. And when people pik up the phones to vote, they take in to account other factors along with the singing.

to all you fans of shaza: no body can deny her amazing voice or her graceful performances but she is so fake and sneaky, she could have a career in politics she was born and raised and now living in morocco her mom is moroccan and even her father last night was speaking with a moroccain accent since he has been there for a long time the only thing that connects her to irak is the nationality of her father but she presented herself from the begining as irakian, and she tries her best to speak with an irakian accent even when she talks to her mother in the phone she avoid speaking morocan just because she knows if she is considered irakian she will get more votes from the middle east and the khalij.i am irakian,i love her voice but i dont appreciate the way she is fooling people and putting a whole facade and she is good at it since nobody has ever paid attention to it. too bad because with her voice she does not need to be deceiving!!!

i personally hope both marwa and chaza would be in the final they both are great.chaza would difenitly have a career in the showbiz since she has a great voice that she masters well, marwa has an amazing potential considering her age compared to chaza and she needs the attention and help to master her voice, i personaly would vote for marwa because she needs more help to get to her true top level besides she has a much better personality than chaza:
marwa:spontanious,sensitive,happy spirit
chaza:calculating, aggressive, arrogante, very bossyand rude to her friends(she always tries to impose her opinion and when she has an argument with carlo or sally she calls them ill mannered or ill raised!! that's an insult to their families parents and themselves besides both times she was screaming like crazy and pushing her way to hit sally !!!just like an incivilised bum!!! which what she truly is what a shame for such a great voice!!!

i believe that shaza really has a strong and powerful voice, but her behaviour makes me forget about her voice and dislike her.
marwa has a really sweet voice she reminds me of fayruz and has a sweet smile and excellent in facial expressions i'd prefer her voice than shaza's,though she's sometimes childish and annoying, but not as annoying as shaza
and i think the final will be:
shaza-2amma7-marwa
in this case my vote will go of coures to my co-patriot(ibn balady),but if he didnt reach the final then my vote will go to marwa regardless of who is in the final with her

First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHADAWEE ..WISH YOU ALL THE BEST
Now to be honest Shaza has the greatest voice ever..and if I have to choice between her and Marwa then I would say Shaza even though Marwa has a good voice too but Shaza is better…
And to all who talk about her personality I Would say it is so obvious that Madam Rola planned it very well so that Shaza don’t win the title ..she gave her the dirty work by watching other students diets and started to broadcast all the fight and the bad things about her and at the same time she broadcast the good things about other students..most the time..
So it is very obvious that Madam Rola succeeded in her plan.. but no matter what she did we have to be fair and honest …
Anyways I do respect others opinions and this is my opinion..
SHAZAWEE IS THE STAR…

By the way she is (Shatha) not (shaza)! Shatha in arabic means nice scent but shaza means nothing. well if an Iraqi enters a competition I doubt it if anyone else can beat the Iraqi person. Shatha with no doubt is the star for this year and all the years since the contest started regardless of the final result.

To Happy,
You are saying the only thing she has is the Iraqi nationality, well isn't enough to be on top?! what you said about Shatha are things to be added to her talents, imagine she talks all others accents while other contestants can do only their accent. I find her personality so impressive, you can be sure that she is the heart of Iraq if you listen to her singing Baghdad, who else can sense Baghdad in the way she did if he is not a part of Baghdad?!....go Iraq...go Shatha.

I used to stand on the side line on this issue because i saw both of them as equally amazing when it came to singing. Regardless of personality or anything else, no one can deny that each of those girl knows her way around her vocal chords and know how to control their voices very well. Nonetheless, after this prime, I an leaning more and more towards Marwa. She just totally shined this prime in a way that i have never seen her before.
When both her and Shaza sang "alby dalele" they really gave us a chance to compare their voices and Marwa won me by far.
Shaza- Such a strong female voice and knows how to play well ina wide range. She goes off-key very very few times. Her english singing isn't very good...didn't understand most of the words. But she was stunning when she sang in spanish and nothing can be said about her arabic singing other than AMAZING.
However, even though i wouldn't mind listening to her album...i probably wouldn't be as motivated to follow her news or go to her concert as a star. She just doesnt captivate me in that way when singing on stage...plus her personality from what we have seen on the dailies isn't the most pleasant. I know they are under a lot of pressure and i allow a few getbys but she is just always showing that negative side of her...bossyness...arrogance...pressuring people into making up their mind according to her opinion...being loud and screaming out rude words. Not a very civilized manner from a soon-to-be star. I could have taken in that behavior if she was still a teenager like the others..but she's 26. I expected a lot more out of her character. However, i can't deny her the greatness of her voice. Her voice s so strong it reminds me a little of Om-Kalthoum. And as i cant deny om-kalthoum's amazing voice i also admit that i don't really like listening to her that much either. I guess that's why strong voices don't ppeal much to me as much as tender voices do.
Marwa - that girl has got so much charisma on stage. It shines right out of her eyes. The most stunning smile that makes her connect with the audience very easily. I also like the fact that her figure is not perfect (or so called-ly 'perfect' as the criteria for a star names it) She looks beautiful just the way she is with that extra weight she is carrying..she makes you feel like she's just one of us. Not a Diva that's above all.Her voice is another story. I love when she sings Fairouz. When she sang "alby Dalele" i adored her. I def. would love to see her win the title this year. Even though I'm Egyptian and i love Mohamed and think he is a true "fanan" not just a singer...I still hope Marwa is the one to take the name.

* * * I agree with you Lou Lou & Love your comment . . with either one I'll be happy too with the result.
- I also agree with you Natalie (big time)that they tried (???) to show (focus) on her nagative side in the dailies more than the others. To be honest she didn't fight & scream as much as others did (specially these days) . . her voice is louder because she has a strongest voice . . don't you think so?!!!
But some people taking the age factor (against her) as if nobody is or will get to that age. Nobody can deny that in (our culture) we usually give more cosideration & respect to the people older than us (family, friends, in public . . etc), what Shatha got (just the opposite) . . that is irritaing by itself.
After all, all these are just excuses for the people that they don't like her period!!
For me personally I like (not) only her great voice, but also her big smile & the confidence that she has . . . since when the (confidence) considered a bad thing??!!!!
Shatha already has a better relation (after the fights) with Carlo, Sally, Ayoub (before leaving), Marwa (basically only about her diet) . . so no point in keep commenting (about the past) . . as we are perfect (for God's sake).
What do we know about our favorite singers , actors (behaviour) unless we get a chance to see them in a reality show as we see the candidates now . . so don't be harsh on them!!!!
It is so obvious that Shatha was raised by a great family . . beautiful normal parents.
And what makes her even (extra) special the fact that she is 1/2 Iraqi & 1/2 Morrocan . . . she never deny that . . we knew it from the 1st. prime. and as you ( might) all know most of the people (in our culure) follow their father's nationality.
What I really hope is that her beautiful strong voice can unite (our people) from far east (Iraq) through the far west (morroco) . . as she & Marwa doing it already in every prime (singing beautifully for each arabic country).
- And I really like when Shatha's father reminded them that even the 3rd. & 4th. winner can make it really far & be a real star. I loved so much his loving & encouraging words to EACH student.
Peace,
diana

poeple you have to be smart enough to make a difference between someone arrogante and someone confidente because chaza is definitly the first kind.me and my sister watch the 24 chanel all the time every body else fights with each other but no one had ever called his friends impolite and tried to hit them like chaza and she told sally i will teach you how to be polite!!!!!
chaza needs a lesson in manners more than anyone else or did you hear her reaction to the cretics in the msm every one who sends her a message to cretisise her she sais he must be someone elses fan she is in complete denial of her bad manners. and there is a difference between when you try to unite two countries of your origins and when you try to use MY country as a facade to get more votes i like her voice but i can see through her mask i will never vote for her because she would never think that there is poeple who like her voice and took the effort to vote for her she just thinks that she deserves everthing and no body is doing her favors

ppl get over the fights shaza has had in the past, everyone has their good and bad days, u cant judge people from a few situations. plus i'd rather someone be natural and not hide anything about themselves, instead of being fake. shaza is a nice person. after her argument with carlo she apologised and made up with him and now theyr quite good friends if u watch the dailies.
so gooo shaza we love u here in canada and u have all our support!

********HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAZA!!!***********
How lovely was her Father? I totally respected the fact that he showed his full love and care to all of the students. It was such a lovely change in atmosphere, and all was because of him. You could tell by the way he spoke intelligently that he really meant every wise word he said; and at the same time, you could tell that the students looked up at him as if he was someone close and dear to them, like a Father. His presence really was valued, and made an impact on the students and the place.
That could not just have been a nice present to Shaza, but to all the Students.
Once again,
***********HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAZA!!!************
ps. many stars for a True Star :)
Natalie,
I absolutely love Shaza. She has an incredible voice, and without a doubt, she is the best in the Academy. I would love to see her win because I think she deserves it. But, like you said, the Best doesn't always win. The previous Seasons have shown that.
It really annoys me when LBC focuses more on certain individual more than others inside the Academy.
For example, Shaza is always pictured as having a bad and short temper. And unfortunately, has developed a reputation for that. But, she’s not like that all the time, yet most of the times when we see her in the dailies is when she is like that. That can’t be true.
It’s interesting to see how the show can work for and against people. You need to be completely natural to be surrounded by cameras and let millions watch you. Sounds a little scary, and also sounds easier said than done. But if you are natural, then the viewers will see the positive and negative side of you.
In the case of Shaza, it’s working against her by showing her negative side most of the times.
Furthermore, in the case of Tina, it is also working against her because she’s on the positive side virtually all the time.
That’s impossible, we all know there is no such thing.
This is why others think she’s fake. She’s always standing under the good light.
But why does LBC do that?
She has a perfect story. She was very young when her father died, leaving her mother to do the mothering, and the fathering. As Tina grew up, she’s been through one hoop of success to the next, from modelling to starring in music videos. All that success and determination for life, comes out of her mother. Her mother turned her into a strong and beautiful individual. But, the story doesn’t end there,.. There are still other hoops to go through, and she still does in every prime. And for Tina to reach the Academy, this is where her real big breakthrough could happen. It’s another achievement written down on her long list of achievements. This is not just an achievement for Tina, but also and mostly for her Mother.
With a story of struggle and success, it can only be a story that would admire many. And I myself am one.
I also agree with you about the age issue, and to be honest I’m getting a little fed up of it. So I want to make things clear: Age is only a number. It does not tell you anything about the person, nor their character, nor their capabilities, nor their potential….basically, nothing. Now Shaza is 26. She is 26 and is talented, but there can be someone else of the same age who happens to be talent-less.
Age does not say anything.
And if someone is going to be successful in life, they will be primarily because they have what it takes and will work harder to push themselves forward. They will have the commitment and determination in their work, along with the most important part of the recipe, the desire to succeed. Success only comes from the person within, i.e. their character and way of thinking.
I basically did a copy and paste job of a previous comment that I posted somewhere else just to clear things between people.
The rest is recently added.
sweet^pie,
Awww. Thank you. But I hate to say there is nothing mature about me. I'm 18 but I look much younger because of my small petite frame, but sound a lot more older because of the way I see things. Basically, looks younger, sounds older doesn't really match a perfect match - haha. I have to admitt I do let out my immature side ever now and again (I'm still young, so I can get away with it -hehe )
But thank you anyways :)
Tia,
You are such a lovely person. Honestly, you really know how to make someone's day :)
Take Care Everyone.

First of all, no im not a singing coach. I just have a good ear for music and i was just stating my opinion just like you and everybody else. Just because i don't fully agree with you doesnt make my opinion anyless in it's value or credibility.
By the way I'm Egyptian and i dont hate Shatha and I did admit several times that her voice is amazing. However, a star is not only his voice because he/she presents so much more. Otherwise we can just buy his/her album and not bother going to concerts or watching them on shows. anyway, I'm not gonna fully judge her as a star until she becomes one. but as for her voice right now it is indeed an amazing strong voice. I just prefer Marwa's singing tone..and it's my opinion.
Also, you said we shouldn't care about her character but this is not only a singing competition. All those teachers have ears, they know who has a better voice and who doesnt and if it really was only a singing competition then there is no need for the show because the teachers already know who should win it without voting or anything. There is a reason for the 24/7 channel and the dailies and the primes. It's a chance for us to get to know what these people are like characterwise...singing...acting...stage pressence...charisma. All those are components that they want the people to take in consideration when voting. A star is a whole package not just a voice.
And by the way Marwa didn't vote for Sally either so if what you're saying is true then we Egyptians should be hating her too.
On a similar note.....
I dont judge people accordng to what they vote because it's childish to do so. It's their personal opinion and it should have nothing to do with their likability. I also dont talk badly of people just because they were ones to stay when my favourite candidate had to leave. That is also stupid. so hating Sally for Amal's departure or hating Amal for Imad's departure says alot about a person's character...that it's childish and stupid.
And as a matter of fact, I always liked Ali. He doesnt have the best of voices but he has a really nice personality and is very well-mannered. so him voting for sally or Amal didn't really change anything in my eyes. Otherwise i would have hated him when he voted against Imad (my favourite person in the academy)

i believe that shaza really has a strong and powerful voice, but her behaviour makes me forget about her voice and dislike her.
marwa has a really sweet voice she reminds me of fayruz and has a sweet smile and excellent in facial expressions i'd prefer her voice than shaza's,though she's sometimes childish and annoying, but not as annoying as shaza
and i think the final will be:
shaza-2amma7-marwa
in this case my vote will go of coures to my co-patriot(ibn balady),but if he didnt reach the final then my vote will go to marwa regardless of who is in the final with her
First of all HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHADAWEE ..WISH YOU ALL THE BEST
Natalie
even though i love both Marwa and Shaza i would definitely vote for Marwa, this girl has it all, the looks , the personality and most importantly the voice!!! so good luck to both girls, they deserve to get that title
I love u shatha.... i want you to be the star but little iusse about you sometimes i think your fake but not talking iraqi way... but be top pne next week
Peace,
I hate the two but i voted for marwa.Marwas voice is more better then shatha!!
BUT I HATE SHATHA MORE!
i think both of them (Satha and Marwa) are great and their voices are so great and i will be happy wether Shata won Or Marwa coz they deserve it . But i think Shatha deserves and if in the final we have 2 have three people ;i PErsonally want Carlo coz his voice is Better than Kammak's voice and we all saw in the prime how Carlo was the only one to sing with Faris karam coz his voice is strong .
both of them are stars.Amal's fans will support them till the end and take revenge of Imed and Amal's depature.Shatha ,Marwa you are the best .stay together and avoid this band of sneaky losers who want your defeat.
100% SHATHA---
I will definetly vote for the star Marwa, marwa is the best, she is the most talented girl, sweat, innocent, and she is not fighting her frnds everyday. I will vote for marwa regardless for whom competitng against her, i was with her from the begining and i will always be with her.
Marwa Star Shou Ma Sar
Marwa the best
Marwa till the end
Marwa all the way
Marwa Star
Marwa the queen
Marwa the winner...
Shadi, Lebanon
like DUHHH
shathawiii is the best
i personally wouldnt mind who wins between shaza and marwa for amal's sake i will be voting 4 both of thm. although shaza and marwa hav a gr8 voice i believe tht shaza has very stronger voice and marwa's voice is more soft, but both of their voices touches u.
poeple you have to be smart enough to make a difference between someone arrogante and someone confidente because chaza is definitly the first kind.me and my sister watch the 24 chanel all the time every body else fights with each other but no one had ever called his friends impolite and tried to hit them like chaza and she told sally i will teach you how to be polite!!!!!
chaza needs a lesson in manners more than anyone else or did you hear her reaction to the cretics in the msm every one who sends her a message to cretisise her she sais he must be someone elses fan she is in complete denial of her bad manners. and there is a difference between when you try to unite two countries of your origins and when you try to use MY country as a facade to get more votes i like her voice but i can see through her mask i will never vote for her because she would never think that there is poeple who like her voice and took the effort to vote for her she just thinks that she deserves everthing and no body is doing her favors
marwa marwa marwa marwaaaaaaaaaaa:D:D:D
ofcourse shatha! i love marwa and i think her voice is amazing but not as powerful and moving as shatha's. both are stars but shatha is ahead! good luck 2 both!
um i think marwa has the bestvoice in the hole academy i hate shatha she is soo mean she was mean to carlo an dshe shouted in his face and that is really mean soo i think she should not do that casue she is a girl not a boy girls should respect boys and i think shatha hate carlo casue he is lebanese but we tell u that we are all with carlo not with u soo sry buy
i think shaza's voice is actually just a little bit better than marwa .. but marwa's voice is also good !!
so i think both
Amoulaaaaa miss you very match
u guys missed the point the question tht u lot have been asked is how has better voice with out judging their personality.
i say marwa has a beauitful soft voice and shaza's voice is more powerful and strong, either of thm will work 4 me as long it's not sally or tina winning
ppl get over the fights shaza has had in the past, everyone has their good and bad days, u cant judge people from a few situations. plus i'd rather someone be natural and not hide anything about themselves, instead of being fake. shaza is a nice person. after her argument with carlo she apologised and made up with him and now theyr quite good friends if u watch the dailies.
so gooo shaza we love u here in canada and u have all our support!
rana are you a singing coach??just wondering....as all of you egyptian's and tunisian's who hate's shatha get over it you you dont hate shatha because of her personallity..do you even care about it??you just hate her cuz she didn't vote for imed or sally it's clear..y'all began loving ali cuz he voted for sally while you used to hate him i see it all in the sms chat dont try to deny..anyway y'all pathetic and sally is stupid she has no voice at all just to inform you star academy is not a play ground for people like sally.
one
i would have to choose marwa's voice even tho shatha's is also beautiful!! marwa has that special thing about her that when she's on stage she looks beautiful and then when u hear her voice its even better!! i hope she wins!!!
GOOOOO MARWA!!!!!!!!
go marwa and amal
amal fans with marwa
go amoula we miss you
amal ya maliket al ihses
Take Care Everyone.
i think both of shaza and marwa have great voices. but at the end one will win and hopefuuley its marwa.
i hope tina and sally won't win cause their voices ae not nice and their personaltiey aren't good either. tina at first was nice but she changed ever since she started to stay with sally.
I MISS U AMAL....................................
LliNezS
