Lebanese German director Said El Marouk is well known for his great work with the Arab world’s brightest stars. From Nancy Ajram and Kadim El Saher to Nawal El Kuwaitia and Latifa, Said has created beautiful video clips that incorporate a beautiful story with beautiful scenery and amazing quality. However, Said also directed countless short films and commercials, and his talent is finally being tapped by Hollywood.
Said El Marouk Moves On Up
Said is in California right now signing a deal that will enable him to work with Interscope Records. This means that Interscope can hire him to shoot videos with Interscope artists like Jennifer Lopez, Bryan Adams, and 50 Cent. This is the first deal of its kind for a Lebanese director. Also, Said will meet later this week with officials from Paramount Studios to sign a deal on distribution of his movies, and this could be a possible boost for him in Hollywood fame. This deal is not only the first for a Lebanese director, but for an Arab director too.

It's about time he gets noticed internationally. Said El Marouk is my favorite director he's so talented. His videos are amazing. I'm so happy for him, he deserves the best. Nadine Labaki is also one of my favorites.
Said El Marouk is one of the few dirctors that inspire me to try out directing. His work is always beautiful and highly symbolic. Every song has a meaning, and the video elaborates and enhances that emotion through so many techniques. This guy is a pure genius. His is the type that does not let one work slip out of the expected standard.
An incredibly talented man. His work proves that, which is why he truly deserves it.
A Million Congradulations :)
This is an incredible achievement, the first Arab Director to go International. Outstanding, and once again, truly deserved.
Wish him all the best.
An amazing person who achieved success against all odds. Given his family circumstances, he did amazingly well. A lesser person wouldn't have done as well.
