You're right. It is never funny when people send nasty sms messages. It is always stupid and meaningless.

I admitt Tina isn't the best singer, but she is a hard worker. There are others in the Academy that are better than her. However, I do love her and her strong character. I respect the fact that she was raised by a single parent, her Mother. Her father died when she was young. I don't know much about it. But, I can say this, her Mother did a great job.
She didn't deserve to be No. 1. I would have loved to see either Shaza or Marwa up there instead. Never mind, maybe next time.
But, well done to Tina.

Second what is with all of the Amal haters?!
I like both Amal and Marwa. Just because you like Amal doesn't mean you should pretend Amal doesn't have a beautiful voice. Amal, Marwa and Shaza all have great voices. I will admit Marwa is performing better then Amal but that doesn't mean Amal is bad. Shaza performs better then Marwa does that make Marwa bad?!

Third, Sally does not have one of the best voices!!! Stop claiming thta she does! There is a reason she gets like 1 role every prime. Just be honest, it's okay if you like her but don't pretend her voice is the best.

Fourth, chill out about Tina. She is a singer in English not arabic and she is working hard. She will not make the finals so don't worry about it. LBC is not going to try and have anothe Lebanese winner this year. Tina won't make the finals lol.

Fifth, Ali is better then Ahmad!!! He is okay. I taped the prime and they both got 1 part. Listen to them. Ali is BETTER. Just because Ahmad is a pretty boy everone makes excuses for him. But Ali is not as good as Ayoub. Ayoub is the best Khaleeji this year. There should be no top 8s with Ahmad and not Ayoub.

I caught bits and pieces of the sms night (was on the phone through most of it) and noticed how downright cruel people were being to Tina. All this hate mail was most likely the result of her top 1 position this week and it didn't help any that Mohamed invited her to go out and dine with him when he goes out four times this week. Is it her fault that she got top 1? Nope. Is it her fault that Mohamed invited her? Nope. Is it her fault Chris DeBurgh made the offer of a lifetime to someone as young as she is. Certainly not. The girl works very hard for it, and has admitted to falling short on several occasions but kudos to her for trying to make up in other areas where her vocal abilities betray her (quarter tone, etc.)...like in acting on stage. No one can claim that she's the best singer amongst this group, but she's certainly two heads and shoulder above the rest in English singing and that might get her international rather than regional acclaim. Look at the big picture, people. If and when she does make it as an international singer, we'll all be proud she's one of us. Why not start thinking of her as one of us now?

I completely agree with everything you said, especially about Ahmed. I give him no credit for his talent, but I probably would for his style. I started saying this weeks ago, the boy isn't in for the talent value, he's in for the entertainment. He is the one making the big buzz and headlines about Star Academy. It's the story that's getting him all the attention, not the talent.
I've been saying this for such a long time now. Finally, someone who sees the reality :)

I was so gutted that Ayoub left. Haram. And I'll keep saying this, he deserved to go further. He had the character, and the talent. He was, by far, the best khaleeji. Honestly, he used to put a smile on my face everytime. His fun, high spirit and energy made him such a lovable character. As well as making the most of his time in the Academy, he also made the most of every performance that he was given on the live shows, even if it lasted a few seconds. He was such a good sport. Bless him.
Will be missing him a lot.

I also agree that Sally isn't the best singers in the Academy. She has started to grow on me though. I think that's because her personality is more stronger than her talent. Let's face it, the Academy wouldn't be the same without her cheeky, sweet character.
However, the Academy won't be the same without Ayoub's character either.
To be honest, I wanted him and Imed to stay. In my eyes, they both deserve it.

I also am getting a little sick of this Amel vs. Marwa issue. It seems like he has no end. No matter how many times I post my comments here and there, the argument still breaks out.
It's clear that there is no ense of rivalry between Marwa and Amel, especially at the night of the nasty sms. Amel stood up for Marwa. Clearly, there is no rivalry between them.
Yet, there is all over this site.

If it was simply a national Artist that came forward with that offer, then it would be a big achievement. But, Chris De Burgh is an inter-national Artist, and that is such a incredible golden achievement.

this year more than one deserves to be the star bsaraha, but personaly i think that:

1-Shada deserves more than any other student (though i didn't like her character at first but i start to appreciate her a bit) moreover she gives to the audience nice moments when she sings really, i don't care about her behaviour coz each person has good as well as bad qualities no one is perfect..in general she has acceptable personality.. But when she sings, what can i say about her , she is fantastic, wonderful really the girl is wonderful kol o3'nya ta3teha 7a2ha. when she sings in arabic totreb , when she sings french, english, or spanich she is wow wow wow! i found her excellent in everything in fact she has it all : nice looking, great voice in arabic english, french,.. etc, acts well and dances well too. she has all the tools to be a star eventhough she won't win the title of starac she is already on the right path of being a successful singer.

2- Marwa: she has a jim-dandy voice extremely nice, she has feelings when she sings, her face features are very expressive when she sings..she acts well and the scenes that she makes in evals are simple and beautiful..
her smile is amazing and i like her sooooo much. she deserves to be the star too

3- Amma7: a kind and cute boy, very talented, composes good songs for himself (though i didn't like his last song in the previous prime) he has a nice voice full of feelings, he acts well and his presence on the stage is wonderful. i ll be happy if he will be the star

4- Amal: such a romantic beautiful girl, she has a sweet voice, not as good as that of marwa and shada, but still she has other talents: she acts well, dances well, intelligent, knows how to work, composes songs (not as good as amma7) but she is good in general, i would be pleased if she wins

5- Carlo: mmmm at first i didn't like his personality, i thought he is kinda snobish boy, but then i liked him a looot. he has a nice voice, nice character, i like him when he sings jabaly, he is creative in evals and has a huge presence in the primes. he deserves to be a star if the above mentioned were eliminated before him

amal-->romantic girl with special voice and pleasant presence

tina-->sweet and beautiful girl, nice voice in english

Second, i will repeat my words for the 10000000 time..that this season the star will be a girl! which will be Either (Amal,Shadda,Marwa)....They might rise tina to the finale and they might not but in both wayz they won't let her win because they can't let a lebanese win again after Josef the last year also it won't be an egyptian...With (Amal,Shadda Or marwa) their should be also any boyz risin to the finale which might be (Ahmed nd amma7) But ahmed will stay till the finale...

i know sally has an average voice but that doesn't mean she has a bad voice coz when we add the rest of the package we c a star....that's my opinion , i can't deny the strong voice of marwa but i don't like strong voices ,i prefer tender voices like shaza and sally as 4 amal..i don't know wut's wrong with her voice lately ..may b she's sick..any way i don't think sally will b nominee this week coz she got the audience votes check all the past weeks those who get the audience votes don't become nominee except 4 maisoon who they were determined to rule out coz they were 3 egyptians ,however those who get students votes get nominated the week after except 4 dany who was honoured by the top 2 then nominated!!!!!! so i guess sally and 3emad ,ofcourse, r in danger but 3emad is closer to the danger .
also ,it grabbed my attention that all those who got audience votes[apart from maisoon] got 2 weeks then got nominated again even if they were good ,sally last week was better than a7mad but he had just won by the audience votes so they have 2 use that ..i guess that means that it's 3ali's turn,also i have a feeling that carlo's name will come up this week they have been mentioning him 4 couple of weeks so i guess the nominees 4 this week will b: 3ali, carlo and [3emad who's more likely 2 b nominee or sally and i really hope not coz that means the show is over ]however ,a7med still has 1 week acc. 2 my calculations but he won't b the star any one who got nominated has lost his chance 2 b the star ,he/she may reach the finals but not become the star..

Hey, star academy are a bunch of copycat's...no offense, but i dont like this show at all because all they want to do is copy us here in usa. Im not sayin that im an american, but i am an arabian born in usa and when my cousin is watching this show and see the students trying to show off and act like us, i got so pissed because u guys live there, not here, just remember that! Let’s not be rude and arrogant - fact, English is an international language. So what's the big deal if an Arab sings in English. Yes, Tina can't sing that well in English, but have you heard Carlo and Shaza? They are amazing. So why should those two stick to just Arabic if they can sing just as well in English, and in French!
Personally, I love the wide diversity of styles, talents and languages that you see on the show. For me, the best thing about Star Academy is the diversity in languages from Arabic to English to French. It's beautiful. In fact, this year we heard Hindu and Spanish, which were sung very well.
Now you really cannot tell me that there are American shows like this, because there isn’t. And if there isn’t American shows like this, then how do we copy you guys.

Just the fact that you're refering to american/English as "we" kinda contradicts what you are trying to argue against. You're almost saying that they are trying to be american or westernized and they shouldnt because they are arab living in arab countries while you an arab born in America already refer to yourself as an American. I have lived in the US all my life as well and i never call myself an American even though i do hae the citizenship. Living here doesnt really make me an American and i will always say that im an Egyptian before anything else.

However, i don't think there is a show like this here anyway and in my opinion if you compare it to american Idol which is the closest thing we have here that resembles Star academy then Star academy wins by far. American idol is such crap and it was started in Europe by the way then adopted here in the U.S. So why is it wrong when an arab country adopts an European show and adds the arab taste to it. I see nothing wrong with that. All the students show great talent and have really decent voices. They seem to work hard and i think have already proved themselves in various areas like acting, singing, dancing, etc. It's an interesting show and i think it's very well orchestrated, maybe even better than it's European version. You never know.

I am arabian and im proud of who i am, but i just hate this show and wanted to post my opinion, dont i have the right to?
