OTV, A New Egyptian TV Channel

OTV is a new satellite channel owned and funded by Egyptian billionaire Naguib Sawiris primarily targeting teenagers from age 15 & above. The channel will include the usual dose of American entertainment dramas like "24” & "Alias", reality shows like "Simple Life" & "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", music concerts & a selection of popular American movies.

Egyptian programs appeared to be a mixed bag. A heavily featured talk show called "One Hour with Samir Ghanem" presented by the comedian, while another teen program called "Shagghal" (It's Working).

Other local programs include "Connect," a technology show; a social-commentary program called "Yeba'a Enta Akeed Fi Masr" (Then You're Indeed in Egypt), a sports show about Egyptian football players abroad; a daily magazine show called "Messak Sokr Zeyada" (A Very Good Evening to You) which seems promising, & an original social comedy talk show with a set located in unusual places around the country. Finally, there has to be a variety of recent Arabic films.

Well they did put on "Simple Life", and no one complained.

I watched OTV and I really liked it, the channel official language is 3amia masri, or simply just masri.

Anyway, the channel feels soooooo egyptian.
No all shows are good, but many are ...

Our OTV Channel in Lebanon is a propaganda machine for an elderly clown who loves dressing in orange. An outlet for him to show obviously photoshpped pictures to broadcast how his lawabiding(NOT) followers are victimized!!

how you dare S.M.S of saying such words about OTV Lebanese channel? U are insulating yourself before insulating michel aoun and orange people. This is your dignity! and ur ethics in life! LOL

Oh I dare my dear I dare. I am sorry I did not know I was insulting a religious figure when I insulted your pathetic leader Aoun, I forgot he is to you as holy as Mar Mikhayil.
Shove your indignation up where the sun doesn't shine :D
See WALEG this is the kind of people that would watch this channel. Talk about freedom of speech!!!
I didn't know people were labelled as orange people nowadays.

    WALEG,
Don't you love it though when we turn almost every topic into a topic about Lebanese people :).. God bless us.
Hey clazine, Aoun sucks and go squeeze that "laymoni" and drink it slowly.

    Dear S.M.S

Who said I am orange or I am a follower of Mr Aoun. It seems u r hallucinating every night and every morning about the layomuni to squeeze. I know now who is the clown. hehehe. It really shows how open minded you are

    clazine
  1. S.M.S. | February 20, 2007 9:01 PM

Well at least I am not a clown with alzheimers (will not mention his other documented mental problems) taking my country further into trouble. So I consider it my right to criticize and hallucinate how much ever I want to, and here you cannot block my way with burning tyres.
I will try to not to adhere to your nonexistant kind of openmindedness my dear "clazine".
So you are not loyal to Aoun and yet you are here to defend and rush into a defensive. What out of your loyalty to all humans??, pull the other one dearie and you want to drink my orange cup which dad just squeezed for me??? :D Hell it has vitamin C, but not really suitable for an old man to dress in from top to toe.
You don't deserve it, WALEG will have some orange juice :D.
    LAYMOUNI" anyone???

    WALEG,
It was Aounak "khales la Allah"'s birthday yesterday and he celebrated it with another favourite pasttime, lazer surgery to the face :P
You know since people are so open minded, they will not mind my hallucinations..
