I didn't make this up, it's all based on a British research conducted by Starch Research Center.
Several things were taken into consideration when the research was taking place, like:

1. What a Saudi girl needs, she gets without too much effort.
2. A Saudi girl always has a servant ... & she always gets her allowance from her parents, meaning she doesn't need to work!
3. A Saudi girl is like a 'Queen', she never has to drive a car, she has a chauffeur!
So, what do you think? Is this study accurate?

Interesting study. It might be possible. But at the end it's a personal preference. My opinion.
1. Sometimes one has to put some effort to achieve some things in order to feel that he/she accomplished something. Personal satisfaction.
2. Having a servant is nice for some. But personally, I'd rather complete my own tasks & ask for favors when needed. I believe in giving allowances to younger children. However, as soon as one finishes his/her studies & can physically & mentally work, earning work experience and having a salary is not a bad idea :)
3. Finally, having a chauffeur is nice as well for some. But if one is physically & mentally capable of driving around town, on a sunny day, listening to his/her favorite music & simply enjoying the ride, then why not :)
In summary, every sister, mother, girlfriend.... deserves to be treated nicely, regardless.
I disagree with this report. Honestly, not all women have drivers to take them everywhere they want, some households can't afford hiring servants due to the cost of paying their salaries, food, drink and health care. Some foreign drivers come to Saudi Arabia and they don't know how to drive a car! The issue of allowing Saudi women to drive has been a debate in the last few years but unfortuantely the Islamic conservatives strongly oppose the idea not because they care about women's safety but they want to oppress them as much as possible according to their stone-age mentalities since it would be every girl's chance to leave her home at any time which could lead to corruptness and the loss of virtue. In 1960 women's education became public despite the public's fury that objected sending young girls to learn fearing that it would cause some serious problems regarding traditions and morals, but later on people came to accept the fact that education is important for both genders. It's a matter of time before they give us the right to drive and be more independant like men as well.
I don't agree or disagree. I don't live in Saudi Arabia. Those are all valid points yet there are also cases in which they may not be true or in which the opposite might have it's own reward. On the other hand you all looked at this with a completely closed mind. Try and be open minded. The point is a study was done and those were the results. If you wish to debate them by all means do so but the article brings up valid points. Though many Saudi Women are oppressed, on the other hand women with good husbands live almost as "queens" and are treated with respect(especially so if the family is rich). Thats not to say there isn't a lot of disadvantages and freedoms lacked.
