Asalah Nasri is nearly on her third month of pregnancy. She is pregnant with new husband Tarek Alarian’s child, and this will be their first child together although they both have children from previous marriages. Asalah is currently taking a break from work in Lebanon, and luckily her stay came at the same time as Star Academy 4 and we enjoyed a great third prime with her.

Asalah also mentioned that her latest album Hayati has met with success unseen for her since Ya Magnoun in 1999. Asalah’s album is, according to her, the second best-seller at Rotana. Asalah will not be filming a video clip for Wallahi Ma Tahadi because she believes that the song is popular as it is and will instead promote Bein Eideik and Hayati. Personally, I would have loved to see a video for Wehna Sawa, a great first shot at the Maghrebi accent by Asalah. The Maghrebi song is a challenge for most singers because of the amazing skill and power the singer’s voice must possess to do it justice. Of course, this is no problem for one of the strongest female voices the Arab world has seen.
