The weekly academy prime this Friday has seen a different spirit! It seems the students this time around are more relaxed & laid back ... They sang better, performed better & thus the prime's atmosphere was much better then usual.
The guests were Algerian Rai singer Faudel & Lebanese singer Sireen Abdel Nour & Adam.
Hilda looked smashing in a gold dress ... & the audience was as enthusiastic as usual!
It was fun watching the students perform 'Abdel Qader' along side Faudel & it was even more fun watching Tina perform Fergie's 'London Bridge' ... She did a great job! & by the way, the stage looked fantastic with the replica do London Bridge right there!
One great part of the night, was when the students sang 'My Way' with Faudel & Michel on the piano.
It was wonderful listening to Frank Sinatra's song being performed in English, French, Arabic & Spanish!
It was also fun watching Ayoub sing a Omani song in a totally Omani tableau!

In all cases, one student did get a surprise; Shatha got invited to dinner with Faudel ... Oooooh! I think if i were her, i would've fainted!
But after all, the students did get a surprise from Madam Rula, they will get to go on an outing to whatever destination they choose! Yepee!
Mohammad Qammah is showing his hidden talents every time on the show, this time he & Tina sang & played a song of his composition ... It wasn't bad at all! I like it!
As for the most important part of the prime ... The results came to Sally's benefit, she was saved by the audiences votes.
The choice was then between Dany & Iman ... The students gave most of their votes to Dany, while Iman ends her days in the Academy ... Good Luck Iman.

I realy liked when Adam sang, I personaly think that Cyrin is not realy a good singer compared to Asala or Shereen.It was cool when Shada, Amal and Imen did the Charlie's Angel's! And Tina was awsome!! Carlo sang very well and I3med too,I did not like when Ahamd sing, he is not realy good compared with the other boys!

This prime was far better than any other previous primes. Seriously, all the students shined in their own ways and it seemed like they had a burst of confidence in them. I also liked the ideas for the performances this time...it was very creative and it might be part of what brought out the best of each student...let's see.
The group singing "insan" - that was reallly great. The song is amazing and Mohammad amma7 gave me goosebumps singing it. His voice really suited the song..too bad he only sang a small part of it. I don't think they did so well singing as a choir ..they seemed to sing on different levels and didnt really mesh well in the end but nonetheless the song was amazing
The "london Bridge" by tina - I'm sorry but that was disgusting...really disgusting. First of all, the song's lyrics in general are stupid and a perfomrance like that should never be accepted by us arabs. The dancing was very provocative and i felt very uncomfortable watching it ( i think at one point Tina and the other dancers wrapped their arms around the boy dancer in a way that i dont even wish to explain here)..whatever. Tina didnt have any type of control over her voice as she was singing. Other than the background scenery..the whole performance was a failure in my opinion. awful awful choice by whoever chooses the songs.
Shaza, Amal, Iman - There performance in the black suits was really enjoyable. It seemed they rehersed it well and i liked it's idea. Also they all sounded great (even though Iman didnt really get to sing much in it)
"My Way" - probably THE BEST performance of the night. amazing, amazing, amazing....they all did so well in it and the piano was great. You could tell Faudel was really blown away by the students as they come out one after the other. See, classy performances and songs like that are what make the prime really spectacular.
Amma7 and Tina's song - that was really cute. The piano playing was great and they sounded really nice together. I liked how it was a duet song where there is a conversation going on in the lryics between the two singers. Tina's words were really nice and Amma7 is just brilliant at composing the music...very well done.
I also thought the nominees did their songs really well this time and they seemed to have a lot of confidence in them in the begining of the prime but towards the prime you could tell that Sally was very nervous ..maybe most out of all three.
I'm glad she was saved though...she needs a second chance but i expect to see alot of progress from her in the next week..otherwise she will be nominated again.
Dani better have stayed anyway or i would have been really mad. Thay boy has got talent. He voice is so good..it's really enjoyable to listen to him and he is doing so well in the primes. I don't know what happens to him in the evaluations...he needs to know that he is really good and have some confidence in himself.
Iman had to leave. even though i dont like her personality too much but i was sad to see her leave. However, it had to be her and i understand that. I wish her luck in the future anyway..whatever she does.
Ahmad was really happy Saly was aaved lol. i dont think i have ever seen him react that way after any of the others were saved....lol kinda funny
Is it just me or are Tina and Shaza dominating the primes? Don;t get me wrong..i love both of them but it just seems very unfair. and dont even say because they are most talented because i believe Mohammad, Dani, and Imad are equally talented and have amazing voices ..yet you only see them sing one or twice at most

They wont put dany or sally, im sure because ali, abdel-aziz, and ayoub arent that good in the academy. But ayoub is the best one out of those three and abdel-aziz is the worst. I was looking forward to seeing Adam perform but he only sang one. Why is that?? That was very dissapointing to me. I wanted to see more of him. Anyway, His voice is incredible & He keep's getting hotter as he get's older :P
I enjoyed Faudel's performance's, especially "3abdel Khader". It's cute how he kissed Amal & Tina's hand's. He's such a sweetheart!
I was happy with the end result's. I figured that Imane was gonna leave either way. I like her personally but let's be serious, she's dead weight.

Where do the student's get the outfit's they wear in the prime's?? Do they go shopping everyweek for their outfit's or is it from their own wardrobe?
is it me or is ahmed getting too too too much credit? i mean his voice really sucks big time, does any1 agree with me? he shouldnt have been top4 for i think 4 weeks now..and also friend of the week twice!! plus what they r doing with the whole love triangle with amal, ahmed, and marwa is really getting annoying!(i feel so sorry for amal) hes not a bad singer but they overrate him. tina should have been top1, but i didnt like her 'london bridge' song...too provocative and her voice didnt sound good in that song. everything else was good, i loved the song where they all sang together, it sounded very nice! well anyway....good luck imane!
Oh no!! I have lost half of my Arabic Channels and even LBC. Gutted :( I almost cried. What a great line up of celebs; Fadel, Cyrine and Adam. I knew it was going to be good. It just had to be my day. :( so gutted.
I now will have to rely on the internet for the Star Academy News in the meantime until I get the aeriel fixed. hopefully it shouldn't be too long.
The results were somewhat expected though.

A7mad is way over-rated. Don't get me wrong, I like the guy personally, he's probably one of my favorite student's in the academy. He's easy going & an all around nice guy but he's not that great of a singer. Yes, he is charismatic on stage but that really doesn't make up for his lack of a good voice. He does have potential though, he just need's a lot of work. I would say he's probably the 2nd to worst out of all the 5aleejees, w/ 3azooz being the worst. & him getting #1 in the top 4 was a mistake.
I have a question about Shaza's invitation to dine w/ Faudel. Was Shaza faudel's personal choice or did M.Roula tell him to choose Shaza because she was the friend of the week?

LBC and Nagham's frequency has changed from 11750 to 11823. You need to manually change the frequency if you have a regular digital receiver. Piece of cake - shouldn't take more than 2 minutes. Those who have Orbit receivers just need to unplug their machines for a minute.

The clothes the students wear at the Friday primes are provided by LBC's wardrobe dept. They also don't get much say in what they wear. The ultimate decision maker on all these issues is Roula Saad. She also decides hair and make-up and has to green light hair cuts, colors, extensions, etc. Just like any other regular production. Talents just get to perform. The rest is up to the production team.
The prime was quite good. A huge departure from last week's blur. All the students performed better. It's almost as if some of the advice they've been getting over the weeks has finally hit home.
Tina's London Bridge performance could've been a lot better if her singing was better. She was totally out of breath after the first 30 seconds. I don't think it was provocative though.
Faudel really rocked the house this year. He was great and truly brought out the best in all those who sang with him. Cyrene was quite bad. All the girls who sang with her sounded much better and far more professional than her. Adam should've gotten more stage time than Cyrene. He was wonderful.
The group song was very good and all those who sang solos, especially Mohamed and Shaza were amazing. Mohamed's soulful voice goes straight to your heart. Shaza's voice has matured quite a bit since the start of the season and she really has more control over it. If she continues at this rate, she'll be the one to beat this year!! She should've been this week's top 1.
I, too, feel that Ahmed is way too overrated and this won't be good for him in the long run. His voice needs a lot of work, as does his overall stage performance, which is still awkward and uneasy.
Whether Tina did mouth "b7ebak" to Mohamed or not is no big deal. Sometimes in the euphoria of the moment - particularly an intense moment people say things they don't really mean -- sort of out of gratitude or relief. Don't judge her or anyone else on stuff like that. Judge their performance, their initiative and their talent.
I'm very happy Dani and Sally are back. Sally's anguish, shame or fear were almost too painful to watch before the results were announced. Dani looked like he was ready to burst when he realized he had enough votes in the bag to make it through and was really sweet when the guys charged him across the stage. He counted on them and they didn't let him down.

Tina's song is horrible, it's kind of a hooker's song due the nature of the lyrics.
I'm happy for Ahmed, he desreved to get the 1st place, he's not overrated, he's got a great voice, charisma and doesn't forget the words so the teachers are satisfied with him. Just stop talking negative stuff about him, Ali and Azouz.
Tonight, Danny, Ayoub, Ahmed, Tina, Mohamed and Marwa were great.

I can think of several reasons why Faudel might want to ask Shaza and not the other girls out. 1. She's the most mature of the lot. The rest are teenagers and I'm sure he's past that stage. 2. She's an interesting young lady and people do want to know more about her. 3. She is very talented and has an amazing voice. She could be someone he might want to collaborate with in the future. Mind you, she's part North African like himself, lived in France for a number of year...speaks all the languages he speaks. Lots of promising prospects there. I'm glad she got this surprise tonight. She's had a great night on stage and this must have crowned it all for her.
Ps. Did any of you catch Amal's act at the window when Imane was leaving? You'd have thought that Imane was (God forbid) dead and not just going home. Did I miss something here, but when were Imane and Amal such tight friends?? Does this kid need help or something?

I enjoyed the Prime tonight.. I thought the first song with Faudel, Ahmed, Imad, and Amal was really good. They all did a great job! I don't understand why you guys are hating on Ahmed... He's a great guy with a good voice.. Being in the Top 4 is not based on singing only...It's how you are overall in the academy with all your classes... DON'T HATE...Alf Mabrouk Ahmed and Imad, Top 1 and 2!!
One more thing... whats up with Madam Roula and her choices for wardorbe for the students? I didn't like how she dressed Ahmed, Amal and Ali.. All students should either wear casual clothing or dress up..
This prime was fantastic everyone did a great job. All the students were confidant and gave great performances. Good luck to Iman but I am so glad Danny stayed I love him. Faudel and the students sang my way beautifully. Faudel rocks. Does anyone know the name of the last song faudel sang by himself. Faudel was so polite and he was toatlly encouraging when the students were singing. I thought shaza, and marwa should have been in the top four and Tina should have been number one. I would aslo like to add that it wasn't Tina's fault that she had to sing London Bridge she doesn't choose the songs or the dances. Mohamad and Tina's song was really nice and they sang it well. Mohamad is so talented.

The prime was one of the best!!! It was 100% better than last week's borefest. Hilda was gorgeous and the guests were great except for serrine she can't sing, just because she is beautiful doesn't mean she can sing! My favourite tableaus...were pracitcally all of them. The Charlies Angels one was sooooo good, same with all the ones with the always happy Faudel! Mohammed is very talented every week coming up with his own song. I adored his collabaration with Tina. Some things did bother me though why is Ahmad number one. I feel that the other students are improving while he isn't!!!! Did Roula coordinate what Ahmad, Ali and Amal were wearing, haha they all looked the same. Behabek Danny. I'm so happy he stayed, he is so talented. This prime was over all great!

- The Charlies Angels song and dance done by AMAL , SHAZA, AND IMAN was great!!! AMAL was so cute and beautiful in it that i just didnt get enough of her...i mean she Looked so so BEAUTIFUL and shes such a tayouba!!!!! omg i love her to death...also what i love about AMAL is her beautfiul spirit and she does not hurt anybody yet people started talking about her when she was gone and yes i think thats the MAIN REASON their was not a friend of the week....AMAL is beautiful inside out and she has got a beautiful face and body....great charisma...Oh and how cute was it when they were during the charlies angel dance and she slid underneath them on the floor...omg SHE is so inncoent and great...hope AMAL WINS STARAC4...(sorry guys about me blabbing on...i swear i love this girl!) ---(also i would love to talk to others people about amal...shaza can i have ur email>..)

Mohammad Kammah is the best Coz his voice is so romantic,great ,tender and he is really cute,but i didnt like his song with Tina coz her voice was really bad in that song and both voices didnt match at all.4 me there is only one winner ,inshallah,Kammah . I agree with all who said that Satha,Tina ,Marwa and Ahmad sand 2 much .it is unfair coz Mohammad sang only once .I dont know why Wadi3 doesnt give him more songs to sing in the prime.In the last three primes Mohammad sang only one song.Iam crazy about Mohammad and wish him the best and I saw 2 when Tina told Mohammad (bahibak) although she is engaged 2 Rabi3 and I think she should respect her fiancee.

I think it's funny how people hate Mawra because Ahmad likes her better than Amal. What a strange and childish reaction from some of you...especially Abed who seems to know what is really in Ahmad's heart. Really? How funny! Why should Ahmad like Amal? If she's not his type, then so what? Obviously, he likes being with Mawra..get over it! Do YOU choose whom your friends like or don't like? Do they choose for you? Also, a lot of the English singing was not in tune, especially Tina and Ahmad.
What do you have against Ahmed, Ali, Ayoub and Azooz? Why do you hate them? Ahmed is not rude at all, just look at Carlo and Shatha before you judge the Khaleejis. It angers me that Rola and Wadee only let Ali and Azooz sing one song in the prime or only a little of it while the rest get 2 or 3 songs like Carlo, Tina and Shatha. While some of you complained that Moahmed doesn't sing too much but at least they let him sing the songs that he wrote and composed on his own.

Marwa is the star, amal is talented she deserves to be in the final 4, but marwa's voice is better than her voice, Shaza is talented and nice but she is so confident about winning and thats decreasing the number of her fans. tina is good but she wont win for 2 reasons: she is not so strong in arabic and she is lebanese so the votes wont be to her benifit. Sally wont be in top 8, she is leaving in these 2 weaks, mohammad is annoying, i mute the tv when he sings, and he wont win coz it will be a girl who will win this season. Ahmad shouldn't be top 1, he shouldn't be in top 4, imad is annoying, he disturbes me when he sing, he always move. Ali is invisible, i dont see him and i dont feel that he's in the academy. Ayoub is not a star, he may be a nomine this weak. Carlo is talented, he is annoying when he show off, but he should definitly be in top 8, i like him very much. Dany wont be in top 8, hei s not so talented, imane deserved to stay more than him. Abdelaziz is acting like a girl (i respect his fans but its kind of obvious) and he is not talented, can't sing well, isn't creative in acting, can't dance very well.

Their is someone who said that this site is becoming an anti-khaligee site! That is 100% not true! I personaly have nothing agianst khakigees. They just can't singe very well compared to the others. It is a game, and only the best well win in this game! This year probably a girl (Amal, Marwa or Shada) because they have the best voices in the Academy. A3li sings realy bad and A3zouz to, Ahamd and Ayoub have chances to be in the top 8. And SHADI is right when he says thar Ayoub is acting like a girl!

When you have a strong personality & confident, it is hard to fake the childish attitude (just to be accepted by some people),I just don't believe that she can speak & sing beautifully all these languages . . . she is amazing!!!!
- I don't think Tina was provocative (in London Brigde) . . what I noticed that her skirt was longer, she was wearing a short under the skirt, her T-shirt was fully covering her stomach (billy button) & her back . . I think some people got her confused with the dancers around her (same colors only) . . . after all she is a very talented girl.

The prime was great except it is never divided fairly.
I agree with shadi because I think marwa will win too. I guessed her from the beginning. Last year I guessed joseph would win in the first few weeks and he did.
I'm lebanese and I like ahmad, ayoub, imad, and marwa. They are not fake and are the best. I don't mind anyone else except Shaza. She is the one causing all the trouble in the academy!
Other than that the prime was good, excaept ahmad's gift really was stupid!!!

guys it is obvious that the winner is out of either AMAL,MARWA, OR SHAZA...but keep reading because this is what i think about each one
MARWA --- her voice is her instrument...it is excellent and she has a lot of potential...but i personally think she has not got the look for a star. Her appearance has affected the opinion of many people about her. I mean shes doesn't not look representable on stage and whatever she wears does not suit her...also she tries to dance but seriously it looks wrong... I also think that she is not trying hard enough in the academy anymore...she is not concentrating on her work and only cares about Ahmad...Also i personally don't think shes a good friend for reasons we all know and this has once again changed many minds about her...!
SHAZA --- This girl has an excellent voice but seriously she looks to old for this show...she seems so mature and sings like shes been a star for years...i personally don't think she needs to be in the academy...she is over confident and knows that she sings better than many popstars! Star Academy is for young stars and is a learning academy where "students" develop their skills over 4 months..i tyhink that SAHZA shouldnt be a student...she should be one of the teachers lol...also on stage she lacks charisma and that adorable nature that makes people just want to watch her all day. Also what shes wears and her hairstyle and makeup just give her a more motherly and mature look...
AMAL --- Great voice which has much emotion and enthusiasm..Amal is young and beautiful...i personally think she is the most beautiful one in the academy both in appearance and personality...she has great charisma on stage and always looks so adorable and cute making us just want to watch her all day.. she has the look of a star and also the voice and not only that...her good spirit, her innocence, her beauty...everything about her makes you love her...her issue with AHMAD seems all sorted out now and she seems to be getting over it which is a relief...also what i really admire about her is her love for LIFE..like any girl she dreams of love.. a love that is passionate, strong, true and everlasting and i perosnally don't find anything wrong with that..i find her romantic side very appealing and admirable. Also what ever she wears suits her as she has a great body and she is not stiff with is a positive sign..shes entertaining as she dances and sings well together...

Also, ahmad got top 1 because he deserved it!!!!!! It's based on a number of things and I am happy for him. Also, marwa does deserve to win, the only thing she doesn't have is the body, and you don't have to be thin to be a star.
She doesn't have an attitude, and I know it's hard for you to believe that Ahmad likes her, because God forbid she's slightly overweight, but he does. I think they are cute together!

Firstly not only do i believe but many others do believe that the audience attending these primes should not only cheer for the lebanese candidates when they are up for nominations because not only does this make other candidates feel bad but it also gives lebanese people a bad name. I have had people come up to me and say to me that lebanese people are racist. Secondly i have been reading information and other thing from certain websites and forums and a number of people are complaining that Tina is receiving too much to perform in the primes and i do agree with them they have to give more songs to mohamed ama7 because we have to be honest he is the best one in the academy. There are also too many unknown lebanese songs being performed in the primes and i think that the classic egyptian songs would be ten times better. Ahmad is getting too much credit he cant even sing in english properly and amal can do and deserves much better, marwa acts too much in front of the cameras and the only people who are being themselves in the academy are Mohamed Ama7, Saly, Imad , Carlo , and Tina. Mayssoun was also very talented and didnt get a chance.Were they afraid of competition or something???????? i guess they knew if mayssoun was to progress in this competion she would have gone really far. The guys need help with their outfits and hairstyles for the primes....thats not only my opinion but it is also others opinions

I'm glad you share my views but im really not sure what happened between Amal and Abdelaziz. I think it was something about him talking about her behind her back and saying some stuff that wasn't true. Of course he was joking but still it hurt amal's feelings. That's what i understood...i might be wrong though..the different accents really confuse me and sometimes i dont understand half of what is said.
About Tina....I love her. She's got a great personality and she is so sweet to everyone and very determined in what she does...but seriously everytime she comes on to sing a song by herself in the primes i just turn my head and leave the room untill she finishes. That's how much they have been shoving her in our faces in the primes. Don't get me wrong she is a lovely girl but in my opinion her voice needs ALOT of improvment still and her breathing is usually off when she sings.I see that other people deserve her chances more like Mohammad amma7, Dani, Saly. These people only get o sing like one song every prime and Tina usually has like 3 songs and 2 of them are independent. If you tell me that it;s because she is a good Dance then I'll tell you so is Saly (she;s been studying dancing all her life).

I'm sorry you're having such trouble with your reception. Go back in and do a quick scan and then manually check that the frequency is set at 11823 and that the polarity is vertical. If that doesn't work, re-download Arabsat altogether and see if that get LBC and the other channels up. You can still watch LBC on Nilesat if you have that, but you won't get the 24/7 (Nagham) channel unless you get Arabsat back up. If all else fails, call your service provider and ask for a technician to come to your home and fix it for you. Although I doubt it, your satellite dish may need some adjustment. Hope it works and that you can get it working before next prime. Good Luck.

this prime was great! i personally don't like amal!i find her very annoying! i like marwa better! she's really cute and her smile seems soo full of life! amal is justy druling over ahmad! i find that a true waste of time because it is quite obvious that ahmad likes marwa~!~!~ I think sally is cute and dany is cute too! but in my opinion the top 8 will be:

I'm really enjoying Star Academy this year but I'm so annoyed that Tina is always speaking and singing in English like it's her first language. She tries to copy Shakiras voice but it's not working out. How could Osama praise her for her awful London Bridge performance?? It baffles me, anyway I think they should all stop singing in foreign languages and stop begging the western culture.
Shaza and Carlo are also annoying coz they are just plain rude, Carlo just apologised to his girlfriend coz he knew he looked bad on TV. Cyrine was just terrible!
My favourites are Dany, Amal and Mohamed and hope that they get more time performing on stage.

Just a few comments.
I wish people would refrain from wishing ill things on others, like (heavens forbid) for Dani to burn in hell. Ok, so maybe Imane was ousted by her peers and Dani was favored, but that does not justify wishing him an ill fate. Let's please be a bit more civilized and grown up than that.
Also, for those of you who make such big statements like Imane will be in the tour, because she will be the fifth girl. Who in the name of Christmas told you that five girls will be picked for the tour this year? And who, pray tell, has died and made you the decision maker there? C'mon people, be reasonable. Vent if you must, but don't make such ridiculous statements.
Can we also end this Khaleeji vs. Lebanese vs. North African vs. Egyptian vendetta? We are all Arabs and ultimately the person who wins this and the people who make the final tour are people we're all going to be stuck with. So, pick wisely and not geographically. Love each other during this journey and stop bickering for God's sake. It's meant to be fun and not a regional war. Don't we have enough of these going on?
Granted, some of you may feel frustrated when one of your favorite students leaves the show, but that's the name of the game and someone has to leave every week. Mind you, anyone who appeared on the show has already accomplished enough by becoming known. What happens next is entirely up to them. If they decide to sit at home and mope then they won't have much of a career to speak of, but if they go out and try and launch themselves in their countries or any of the stronger entertainment centers then hurray and whoopee dee to them!
As for the wardrobe issue, well, this is just how it is in the wonderful world of TV and film production. Talents go out and do their thing...be it act, sing, dance, prance, tumble or whatever. Logistics and details are left to the experts, namely members of the production team. The ultimate decision maker on all fronts is the top honcho, namely the executive producer who in this case is the all too famous Roula Saad, who has done and is doing a magnificent job by the way. Yes, it is all up to her and that's just how it is and how it should be.

Im not sure if i can help you because they never bring all the comments by Osama on the dailies..but from what they brought on the dailies today, he only commented on the boys in general saying that they dont smile enough or so much emotion when they are dancing with the girls while the grils are perfect at it.
Then he applauded Tina on her London Bridge performance and said she did really well
He also Made fun of Mohammad and the way he was dancing to the song that Sally sang. I think it was Sherine's song "ana fel gharam" or something like that
Then he also applauded Shaza for the way she perfomed "all the way" with Faudel in spanish. He said she showed alot of feelings in the song and it was perfect.
Oh, and he also made fun of Ahmed and the way he was dancing to "abdel Kader"
lol..seems like he loved the girls too much and ridiculed the boys all the way this time. He didnt say anything about Amal really.
