Despite the huge success of the recent concert that Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram held in Berlin and was attended by more than 1500 people, a lot of Arabs boycotted her concert and refused to put her posters beside their stores because they believe that Nancy is considered a sex symbol!
Nancy totally denied these rumors and said that a lot of Arab ambassadors attended the concert and that Arabs there were waiting for that concert and really enjoyed it.

Omg, that comment of her being a sex symbol just made me choke on my green tea. Yea, she has sex appeal, but my God, she cant help it if shes pretty. plus, its not like woman 'make' men attract to them..Its called Nature. And her being famous kinda helps along with that since celebrities are often looked at as gods. And yea, i do see her with a couple of ever so slightly low cut shirts on (really, i dont think they are low cut, but others do) But its not like her breasts are spilling all over the place. And she dresses pretty conservative. Ive seen a couple of concerts shes held on TV. Its usually in a covering black dress...(she like black a lot i think..)But, yea. I dont know. Some people can be retarded..
It's not called 'Nature' I'm afraid...it's called plastic surgery. If she did not want to be a sex symbol why would she go and do all the surgery? Surely she'd think if her voice were credible enough then she'd not need the rest of the crap...obviously her voice isn't good enough though. People with enough money buy & sell sex like apples & then claim it's not their intent, it's all 4 the sake of art ot talent (coz obviously she has stacks of that!). We live in a fickle time when public will pay fortunes to watch barbie and her playmates singing 'bah-bah- black-sheep have u any wool?' & all the singers, producers, agents know exactly that the public are fools 4 it.

nancy has the voice, not exactly looks. she looks better with da plastic, even though it made her look a bit older. but she does dress a bit more conservative like adam, said. its better thna at least how some are dressing

Sam is 100%. Arab singers (especially women) are having plastic surgery, I'm actually againts it. I Allah gave you small lips than keep them small and don't make them big and ugly! And all the botox is 7aram to. It is obvious that singers are more concerned in their outside beauty and live forget the inside. We should know that one day we will all die and that beauty will desappeare with it. So singers be natural and don not pump yourselves out with plastic surgery, we are Arabs and plastic suregry does not have a place in our traditions and religion(s)

for heaven sake why do you care, it's their problems not yourse, and the only surgery that nancy has done was to ther nose, and maybe has an ingection on her lips but that's it. it's her future and her life as a person you should respect her as who she is not how she looks. I am so sick of hearing about tradition and religion and how we as arabs should act. Enough, let us be who ever qwe want to be and stop talking for God! I am proud of Nancy, she is a talented, honest and good person. We should stop criticizing since we all have our faults.
ok well plastic surgery is not HARAM firstly, IF it is intended for the women to please her husband ONLY.
