In a ceremony with many bright stars attending such as presenter Razan and singer Shatha, the new network "Kanal TV" celebrated the preparation to broadcast their channels on an experimental basis on Nile sat during the first few weeks after the new year. The bunch will have 3 channels to begin with, one for sports, one for music and another for cinema.

Angie Anwar will present the cinema channel, while poet and composer Mohammed Al Rifa'i and critic Khalid Tawheed will be presenting the sports.
Amro Sadiq is the man responsible for the bunch and said the aim of the new network was to offer a modern media service to the consumer with an Egyptian and Arabic touch in a framework of responsible freedom of speech.
The network wants to focus on live and unedited TV and try to avoid recorded material in order to give the viewer the feeling of reality.
