Ever imagined a woman president of the US?
Sure we've seen them in some movies but a woman president might actually be a thing of reality.
Hillary Clinton, wife of former president Bill Clinton, is seriously considering running for president in 2008.
The senator has personally asked some of her fellow New York Democrats for their support in the event she goes ahead with such a campaign, a top adviser said Sunday.
Could a woman do better than all the men?
zayed, personally,i think that statement was sexist.it doesnt matter whether it was a woman or man or how much work each can achieve..the most important thing is what policies these politicians are planning to carry out and how effective they are.although i sure think that having a woman for an American president is an achievement.i mean i understand where you're getting at but the wording was abit out of order.
Personally, although i myself am a girl, and im all for girl power and suchness, but, America will never elect a president thats anything under a white male. Though this country declares its non racial, non sexist, and in every way non prejudicce, thats all that it is built upon. Woman are supposedly supposed to be weaker than men, both physically and mentally, so just imagine when any world leader and a woman president meet, the leader will automatically think he has the upper hand in whatever their discussing. Basically, every one else would take advantage of the fact that something other than a man is in office and America will go downhill. Its sad to say, but is true.
I dont actually find anything sexist in that comment..:/

generally, when women hear this comment:
'Could a woman do better than all the men?'
they'll think its sexist.it sounds sexist and i could also provide you the meaning of sexist to prove it is.just because Americans, like you, are used to being overpowered by men in politics or anything else that doesnt change the fact that this statement was sexist.its just like a teacher saying to a girl 'you dont have the ability to write an essay as Nathan(for example)does because you dont have as much brain cells).
'Woman are supposedly supposed to be weaker than men, both physically and mentally'
thats exaggerated.woman are not mentally weaker than men.perhaps physically, but not mentally and in the area of politics, politicians are required to deal with issues and make decisions mentally.they have the army to do the physical work and in many countries the army now recruits women.specifically, the army in America recruits women...why not have them as presidents..this dissproves you're theory.

women are weaker than men, women are worst then us. they do a crazy things like going shopping lone lone time. I wonder how many men stay long waiting for their women. Of course not that long, they’ll run away.
I don't care if the next president will be a male or female, even though I am a female myself. As long as it is a president is not hungry for blood and is not looking for a new war, and is only wanting peace, then that is fine by me.
But, it does sound a little too much to expect from America!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh!
If you Posted a comment on December 8th at 05:10 and your name is Ahmed then this is a simple message to you:
U STUPID DONKEY!!!!
There is no question about it, you must be the same IDIOT that posted a comment on the Article "From Steven to Islam".
For once, put up something sensible as a comment!!?!
If someone is successful in something, it has nothing to do with sex! It's all about the determination a person has! And determination and sex are certainly not related.
YOU RIDICULOUS CLOWN!!!
why honey?
please change you're name cause you write like a man.
about the site from steven whatever,
well am not that religous guy. but i know what is islam, you should know that too.
I dont want to come off as mad or anything, but i think that comment was misunderstood aussie~ woman are looked at as weaker in both ways than men are, thats what i was saying - and if you have a comment that thinks that what zayed said was sexist, i can have a comment that it wasnt, thats all~ I know pretty well darn well that woman probably surpass men mentally but im just saying, were looked at as if we dont. We sometimes do pass them physically too, cuz ive beaten the crap out of some boys to the point of them crying ;)
Technically, a lot of politicians are real idiots with a lot of bad ideas..Someone brought up a good point to me : Politicians are people friendly. So if your good at talking and pursuading, (which are usually the people on lower mental levels, (NOT TO OFFEND ANYONE WHO IS GOOD AT TALKING.) but the smartest people in the world with the most highest IQ are usually quiet and shy...And its true. alot fo smart people dont like to bring up how they think because they think theyll be pounded on for being smart- and it happens, because some people just dont think the way they do. Its all point of veiws. Sorry if you got offended by anything i said, because that sure wasnt my intentions.
Ahmed, that was the most STUPIDEST comment ive ever heard coming out of your mouth. If you like how women look like the pervert you are, you better get on your knees and thank God we spend so much time shopping. And women arent weaker in anyway, cuz like my point above, were LOOOOOKED at as that way. My goodness, the people that brainwash some these days.
Ahmed,
First, "honey", don't ever call me that.
Second, do you really think you offended me!?!
The only thing that you managed to achieve is prove how pathetic you really are and how small your mentality really is!
First you offend women in general, then you target one!
The only reason why the others got away with their comments is that they expressed themselves in an appropriate manner. Whereas you on the other hand, laid down nothing but insult after insult.
The one thing that I love is that the comment that I wrote mentioned putting "something sensible as a comment!!?!". Perhaps that was too much to ask for.
Ahmed, how dare you say that?! The first comment was completely stupid. Can you not see that what you typed was offensive to other women?
The second comment was not acceptable at all. But surely you do realise that the first comment was offensive and it really would make a female offended- to be honest I was.
Ahmed, let me be honest with you. What you said was unnecessary. As a male, I can understand how other women may feel offended by that. The second comment- there was completely NO NEED FOR IT. You really did sink low. You certainly should not have said that -AT ALL. And next time, try and think before you write your comments, it may help you not to be placed in an unpleasant situation like this. Because let’s face it, you brought this on yourself.
It's always interesting how tensions always seem to flare up on forums. Anyways, having a female president would be a significant change considering the fact that ALL presidents of the United States are White (They (the presidents) don't even bother to know their roots... Such dishonor...) and male. I believe that things would be different if a female were to become president and things may take a change, but considering how this country is and how it's government is... I seriously doubt it.
As for women doing better than men, I don't believe either is superior nor inferior. Women carry an important role because they can give birth, and men also have an important role because they can produce the seeds, however when one gender is gone the other is hopeless... So we need each other either way. Even if women do take a long time to get ready : )
Ahmed,
I really think it is sad to hear such an ingorant comment. Although it is an indisputable fact that women are less physically able than men, this by no means is synonomous with women being less mentally inclined than men.
And in reference to the comment about shopping for 'lone lone' time (which I must assume is incorrect spelling for 'long long'); not all women love to shop. I am one of them. I regard it as a waste of time and money, however, if no one took the initiative to go and buy neccessary items, people everywhere would be living as cavemen, or perhaps something even lower that that.
Have you not noticed that it is nearly always women who decide that a household needs more food, or that her children should be properly clothed? It she did not do it, no one would, and any offspring of that family would be poorly clothed, with their bodies starving for proper nutrition.
Ahmed, i do not know you and probably should not assume anything about your beliefs. Maybe you were raised to think so extremely. Perhaps you were under the influence of something when you authored that comment (hence the spelling errors). I know that as a 16 year old female, I probably have very little authority towards swaying your strong views on this controversial matter. I can only hope that you will someday change your mind.
Now to answer the initial question that was adressed to the readers. It is a disappointing but true fact that no, this country is most likely not ready for a female president. Nor are we ready for a biracial president. There are too many sexist, racist and overall ingorant people existing as citizens today for a change of that particular magnitude to occur. It will take many years for a unbiased generation to become the majority. I fervently hope that i will be alive to see that day.
