Anan: Iraq Worse!!!

UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said that Iraq today is worse of from the time of Saddam Hussein!
Finally someone admits it!

When asked if it was a civil war, he said it was "worse than a civil war.”
In an interview with the BBC, Annan expressed his deep sorrow for what was happening in Iraq.

"They had a dictator who was brutal, but they had their streets, they could go out, their kids could go to school could go out into the streets school and come back home without a month or father worrying 'am I going to see my child again?'"

He said the run-up to the US-led invasions was one of the most difficult times of his and the UN’s life.

The violence doesn't only fall on Iraqis alone. Today a US helicopter carrying 16 Marines went down in a lake west of the Iraqi capital in the Anbar province, killing four of them.

He's right in every single word he said. The US is afraid to admit it for fear that there may be more int'l opposition towards the war. Either way the whole world does not support the US's cause in Iraq. They have FAILED and are just pulling an act now making people believe that they are progressing...
I've never seen a country do so much destruction to another. What gives them the right to come into Iraq and ruin it? Who do thry think they are? It's not enough that Iraq has been suffering since God knows how long...
This really is worse than a civil war. In a civil war, there is sporadic fighting. But now, every second a bomb is set off all over Iraq. What I wanr to know is why Iraq? Why the suffering Iraqis? What connection does Iraq have with WMD? Ok, they went in and found nothing. Now what? Iraq is beneath the poverty line now. Refridgerators don't work so people have to buy food everyday. Did you know that everyday 3,000 leave Iraq. You know, I somewhat blame it on the UN for not taking necessary action against the US. It's not their place to attack a country when a country in the SC says NO! France said No meaning they can't enter Iraq. But what can they go? GO after them with their imaginitive army? What is going on is sheer injustice and I hope Allah will bring salvation upon Iraq and rid it of the US and it's supposed Liberation War. Take care.

thanks foofoo, its a pleasure.im not going to sit around and pray God rids us off evil men like George Bush and his cronies because we as arabs(christians or muslims)are the ones who should stand up to them in Gods will.Ofcourse that will only happen when iraq stands up strong and unites us together.my fears are that this is far from happening.i wish the world had more people like you and me,foofoo, because we wouldnt be in the state we are now, as people living in the east or people living in the west.when iraq stands up strong..this will become my dream come true, despite the fact that im not even iraqi.
    regards

Yes ameena, I totally agree with you. It's true that noone carries such a mentality anymore. No matter what we are, we're all arabs and we should have each other's backs. But sadly, it's more like back-stabbing in Arab politics today. Thank you dear for the compliment. Inshalla in due course, everything will be okay. Thank you for your wonderful comment. God Bless You. Yes, I will read the post. I'm curious as to what they said although it isn't such a contriversial topic if you ask me. What's going in the ME, now that's controversial! Take care amoona. ;)
