Sami Yusuf Prevented From Singing!

Sami Yusuf

The British Embassy in Yemen issued a warning to British singer Sami Yusuf from participating in a concert which backed the Palestinian people "Together Breaking the Blockade." Sami Yusuf entered the hall surrounded with body guards who prevented the crowd from shaking his hand or even taking his picture (for unknown reasons) and then sat for only 15 minutes before leaving.

The Muslim singer from Azerbaijani origins is quickly becoming a phenomena across the Arab and Muslim world for his Islamic music. He sings "Anasheed" which are religious songs praising the prophet Mohammed and God All Mighty.

Is the British Embassy in any authority to permit or prevent people from singing even just because he’s Muslim???
