On December the 22nd, there is a peace protest that will take place everywhere in the world and everyone is invited regardless of your political or religious inclinations. It is not a street demonstration but you can do it in the privacy of your own home or in public if that is what takes your fancy. It is a global orgasm for peace demonstration.

The idea is the brain child of peace activists Donna Sheehan and Paul Reffell, aged 76 and 55. They believe that channeling positive energy during and after orgasm will "reduce the current dangerous levels of aggression and violence throughout the world".

They urge every man and woman to participate, in every corner of the globe especially in countries that possess weapons of mass destruction.

They answer critics that attack them for tackling such important issues in such a "frivolous" manner by claiming that violence in the world stems from men trying to impress their females, you know men and their guns and whose is bigger kind of thing. On their website "www.globalorgasm.org" they write...
"But when you understand that most male human behavior, from violence and war to generosity and kindness, is a form of sexual display, the whole perspective changes. what better way to bring attention to, and perhaps make less acceptable, the kind of display that are acceptable, the kinds of display that are threatening us and every oitherorganism on the planet than the root cause of the displays- the orgasm?

I somehow doubt an actual positive result from such an attempt, but it would be nice, would it not? I wonder if we wake up on Saturday morning, the 23rd of december, to the news that Bush, Bin Ladden, and other such leaders of the world, are sharing breakfast and exchanging witty ancedotes?
Well at least they are doing something and to each his own.
