New Lebanese singer Melissa partied the night away in Beirut a couple of days ago, on the occasion of the official launching of her first album, Bedi Minnak.
The event was attended by many famous media faces in Lebanon like Jan Saliba & Toni Abi Karam.
Jan Saliba announced during the event that he expects Melissa to be a great hit in the coming two years & that she'll be working really hard on making her voice, appearance & video clips better.
On that level, rumor has it that Melissa is secretly working on a duetto with a world famous singer! Who may it be? ... We just have to wait & see!
I like Melissa, her songs are nice and her voice is pretty good. I wish her the best of luck, I hope she succeeds with this album.

You can tell she is DYING to be like Elissa, to the extent that she even pronounces her name in the same way (mel-eee-sa) when it actually is pronounced mel-is-sa. What a loser...there's only one Elissa!!!

Ok first there is a connection to Elissa through her management, her manager originally managed Elissa's affairs. He left Elissa to launch Melissa. Personally, I think Melissa hasn't reached Elissa yet (it's her first album!). However, listen to the new album I like nearly every single song (with the the possible exception of "Habibi La Teb3oud 3ani". Her voice is not bad, but Elissa's voice isn't much when she's live either. Melissa will work on her voice and get better. I also think we need more Elissas and less Danas. So Melissa is a welcome addition to the music scene: Good music, she is happy, smiling (bashoosha) unlike Elissa, and she has limits to the amount of seduction and the clothes she wears (classy seduction). I'm already a fan.
BashBash, I agree with you. I listened to her album as well it's good and we do need more Elissa's rather than more Dana's. I think Melissa still nees some work but she's doing well.

I know Melissa when she was here in San Diego, USA. I didn't believe Melissa has all this talent, well after all she become a singer but there are more Secretes in her life she has not Revealed yet. I know all about it. May be one day i will be the one who will borke her silance about her secretes

I like Melissa more Melissa songs than Madeleine Mattar ones. The last one is a better singer but I prefer Melissa's voice and her first album has much more groovy songs than Madeleine has.
Estethically, Melissa is more sensual than Madeleine, who looks more like a femme fatale, anyway, Madeleine has the best video clip, that is Ala Bali Hawak.
