He thinks that Religion discriminates against gays & not only that but has also failed to do anything about tensions & conflicts around the world.

I agree that he is being a hypocrite, demanding tolerance and showing none. Imagine his reaction when someone demands that hom*sexuality be banned, he will be crying foul complaining of descrimination and the likes. Religion is supposed to be there for our salvation and there are some(few) religious figures striving to help humans through charity and different endeavours. Some people need that kind of faith in their lives, some do not. I personally do not. I do respect the lessons passed on by different religions, but that is all they are, lessons to teach us right from wrong.
