Yes, it's happening again.
Last year's riots in Paris were remembered in a flamy anniversary as youths burned hundreds of vehicles across the country.
The violence exposed yet again the sharp division between poor North African immigrants and the rest of the French society. And apparently, not much action has been taken to solve last year's problem.
In the southern port city of Marseille, a bunch of teenagers set a bus on fire seriously wounding a passenger and injuring others. Police said that two other public buses and 277 vehicles around the country were burned overnight.
The rioting was fueled by anger at France's failure to offer equal opportunities to many minorities, especially Arabs and blacks, and France's 5 million-strong Muslim population.
Demanding your rights is one thing but rioting is another. No one supports violence but if you are not getting your rights, what can you do?

I watched a documentary on the french ghettos and the North African communities and it is quite heart wrenching.
well what does France expect when it treats in North Afican and African citerzins as 2nd class?! i mean come on..they are just so racist its pathetic. and its not fair for the 2nd generation of them which lived all their life there and still get treated like a forgeinner! i think that they shud keep up the riots untill France stops being so racist!!! and this is true caz im doing French A-level and learnt it all last year..and was shocked! cause i thought the arabs and french were like best friends or sth!! caz the arabs adore the french! but obviously the french don't adore them :S
So if why did these people come to France if its so racist.? Why do they feel the only thing they can do is riot? I hope they all get run over by a bus at some point..

Well why did France feel the need to invade parts of Africa, colonize & dehumanize the people and rape the African lands of its fruits consequently contributing to slave labour & the creation of poverty?

well said sam..get a life john..u want the facts: France invades north africa. once n.africa gains independence the french govt ask them if the arabs/african men if they can come and work in france doing basic jobs such as: factory,agriculture work as many french people were killed in the war. So as time goes by the arabs and africans wifes/families..and as the years go by the french still expect them to do lower jobs..now obiously the first generation can accept this as they are not natively french. but now there is the 2nd generation ranging from babies to 40 year olds..as the first generation came over in the 1960's. so now the 2nd generation which lived in france all their life and are french..but parents immigrants get treated as 2nd class citerzins and not equal rigts...so john, this is the reason they are rioting!!!!! OK so PEACE to all my ARAB and AFRICAN's in France and RESPECT as they have suffered more than france or uk. As here in uk we are not racist and thats why theres less probs with the Asians and Blacks...OK :) u want to tell me any more details i would love to know..since i studied this and have knowledge as an ARAB.
If the "Arabs" and "Africans" don't like France, then the solution is simple.
