Star Academy Maghreb 1

Nabil Al Qarawi, owner of Qarawi & Qarawi World, said that the new Tunisian private TV channel "Nesma TV" will begin broadcasting at the end of the year making it the second private TV channel in Tunisia but it will be directed to North Africa countries (The Arab Maghreb).

Broadcasting from Paris on Nilesat and Arabsat and produced in Tunis, the station will grab the attention of its North African viewers with variety programs, movies, Hollywood TV series, sports and children’s programs amongst others.

However, its flagship program will be "Star Academy Maghreb" shot in a castle prepared especially for the event in Rades, Tunisia. The area consists of 3 hectares and 64 cameras all around the castle.
14 candidates from the Arab Maghreb will spend 3 months of rigorous training in dance and theater from 6 teachers.

Oh and just when you thought the guys and girls were going to get cozy together at night, be sure that they won’t. This Star Academy is going to be somewhat conservative meaning that they will be shooting the program in guidance with Maghrebian family and traditional values. The guys and girls will be separated by a 5 kilometer distance between them and there will be no cameras in the bedrooms or bathrooms.

Wat are they trying to do? No self respecting Star Academy, the original, fan would watch it. It is going to be such a rip-off. They're even going to use the same logo, it shows you how original they're going to be. Besides, it will never be as successful as the real Star Academy because all the students are going to be from el maghreb (not that there is going anything wrong with that, my favourite Star Academy candidate is Sofia) but they are going to talk in their native tongues which no one except people from el maghreb will understand. Finally, theere will be no singing which is the real Star Academy's main attraction. As I close,I would like to repeat it will be a mojor MAJOR Rip-Off...

18 October, 5:27AM

oh please you guys .... star academy name and logo does not belong to the lbc we already took it from the french star academy they had it before us .... so we are already copying someone .
and by the way yes it is true i think tunisia will be very sucessfukl in this program and i think that truly tunisia will be the next arab music capital and will do better than egypt and lebanon the problem is that in lebanon we have every day a new singer and only 5% of this thousands of singers got a good voice and are usefull as singer while tunisia got only a very very few singer in th e arab world and each one of them is extrem;y succesful with a golden voice and we have even seen that in every arabic compition form star academy to tarik enoujum to and so so they had allways student and condidates who amazed us with their voice and apperance and performance from ahmed to baha to amani to shayma to aymen to asma ...all beautiful amazing voices ... and in the other hand i don't balme them for doing that since they suppose to win twice in star academy with baha or ahmed and then amani the magnificent voice that no one ever until now had shown a voice like hers in these academys but it's all about money and marketing and always a crapy person have to win either from egypt or khaliji please give me a break ....

of course they 're gonna get offended and do their own ...

this is just the truth

Helllllllo, Ofcourse it isnt the truth i dare u no one will watch this program first of all, The maghreb countries speak in a way where EGYPT ( MIDDLE EAST'S HOLLYWOOD AND IT WILL NEVER CHANGE TRUTH ) LEBANON , khalijee countries no one will understand what they're saying come on truth ... how come u r saying u r going to beat egypt i guess u r dreamin everyday egypt has millions of true strong nice voices not only in staracademy no superstar and STARMAKER watch it and u will know what does it means !!! they all have strong and amazing voices and tell me in staracademy maghreb if they are going to sing they will defently sing something for our greatest old singer or the greatest old labanese singer like sabah ( who already was known because of EGYPT) and farid el atrash( beacuse of egypt) asmahan ( because of egypt and my best star ever FAYROUZ they will defentely sing something for zem so please go and take a rest cuz it wont ever never happen!! u r just dreaming ....Egypt is hollywoods middleast , LEBANON has mannyyyyyyyyyy leaders like wadee3 el safee and FAYROUUUUUUUUUUZ ,,,and even the khalijeee singers Mouhammed abdo and hussein el gasmee dont just say tunisia will go over all thesssssssssssssssssse great history in an eye blink ...NOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!

Star Academy Maghrab is destinated to people in countries in NORTH AFRICA ... so please you from Egypt, Lebanon or any country in the Middle East stop talkin crap ... its just another version of star academy simply destinated solely to Arab countries in North Africa which they share the same culture and can understand their different accesnt well...

Damn, why the hell Arabs cant accept anything new or cant say something nice to other Arabs!!! SHIT!!

In Europe, there are tens of star academy versions ... and by the way they share the same LOGO!!!

Damn you how ignorant you always are .... wish them luck or don't share your shitty stupid comment ...

Lebanon has a successful experience with starac .. now its tunisia.... Khaligi's already are running similar programs like future super star and star academy destinated to people in the gulf region ... !!

uffffffffffffff

You ARE NOT FORCED NEITHER ASKED TO WATCH STAR ACADEMT MAGHREB NEITHER YOU ARE ASKED TO WATCH THEIR MOVIES OR SONG!!!

One final thing, many film directors from Tunisia and Morocco got international awards, samer goes for many actors and singers ...

STOP this crap and be friends .... Europe with its multiculture and multi language nations all get together and united ... when it comes to us .. all we know is to critisize each other ...
and we something bad happend to us .. we start blaming the US .. its us who are blamed for every single bad things we have ... stop blaming the US and your presidents for your mouths full of shit and for your bad smell that you are trying to spread everywhere ...

There are many good people in the Arab world but the majority and especailly the new generation are living in denial and can only talk deep shit!!! :(

latifa-i love the MAGHREB COUNTRIES!

Voices r not good or bad depending on where u come from; its rare to find a good voice particularly coz that person has to have other required qualities. We ba3dein leh la2? We all seem to be choosing our own dates for Ramadan & 3eid so if Morocco, Algeria/ Tunisia wanna have their own shows leh la2 ya3ny. I for one think those countries are full of beauty and I'm really set on the idea of visiting Morocco someday insha'allah. Anyway why r u criticizing something totally within the reigns of democracy particularly that of a free media, shish kebabs!

If we are talking about saya3a and the way different countries dress etc then we are all as bad as each other. And TV does not and never will represent the reality of a whole region. You have to be say3a/ saye3 shwayitein to agree 2 be filmed.
Otherwise TV will consider u 2 boring. I for one think that star academy...including all the European versions is a load of kaka. They want guys who r stud muffins or feminine to attract female viewers and they want tarts 2 attract the guys and girls who’ll wanna follow the style of other girlies. And only untalented desperados would think 2 apply...In fact all of reality TV is kaka.

Gee again...I mean you would think that issue of who has better singers has been discussed to death. Who has better singers?... Please.
I think we need more love and tolerance. where is "Rania" the person who keeps giving her email.
I love you star academy maghreb 1, here is my email....:D.

I obviously think that StarAc'maghreb will not have succes, we are already used to the Lebanese one.
And the most arab singers are good artist, from Morroco to Iraq, look at the moroccon star samira saeed who receved a Music World Award or Elissa who also got an award in hollywood.
But 60% of the arab singers are lebanese.

calm down ppl;
i dont think this will be very successful, we liked starac cuz it brought ppl from all arab countries. bt its not that big of a deal. and at least theyll be more conservative.

I think walking around in the buff whilst fasting would be too much of a painful experience. Oh if that happens we can join the whole live aid/8 thing u know...ask Bob Geldof and Bono 2 come check the new situation spreading in North Africa & through 2 the middle East. Then we can go to war in the buff too. We can ask the Arab league to host their next conference in the buff...site 4 sore eyes. Mind u I never actually listen to what they're saying so it'd be a harmless distraction.

I just have to say about madMadonna...the woman publicly stated in a documentary that she is not a good mother failing 2 spend enough time with her kids, she is a women hittin 50 and has adopted a baby from the other side of the world, she is constantly in promotions and tours and in the buff. How on Earth can she adopt that kid & fly him out as quick as she has...if she was so set on adoption why take a baby, as a middle aged woman who will not dedicate her time 2 him (nannies duty) she should have taken a 7 year old perhaps or a child from the west. Insanity! It's just a fashion accessory that she can take whilst just a seed and mould in her own distorted way...bas keda and silv I love u too, let’s adopt! Rania can be the nanny & shower her love on the little one.

typo...she's a woman not a women. With all her changes though u'd be right 2 say women.

20 October, 11:35AM

You would think Madonna would help the father if she really cared. You would think with all the money spent on the unecessary luxuries spent on toys for the baby, she would have helped the entire village for an entire year. The woman is craving publicity now that she is getting older. I always admired her strong character and she does have an awesome body for her age but really, they should know when enough is enough. Apparently Britney Spears now wants to follow her "Idol's" footsteps and adopt a child from a poor country. For God's sake, she cannot even take care of her own. Why not help these poor children in their own countries and not add more screwed up children to the world.

By the way regarding the naked issue. I once was watching this french movie, and out of the blue you get this naked man locked outside and running and jumping over the railing. It was not a pretty picture AT ALL seeing a man run in his birthday suit( do not mean to offend anybody). In the words of Seinfeld, there is good naked and bad naked.
I love you WALEG, here is my email...LOL.( Making up for the fact that my comments have nothing to do with the subject).
Sam I think we should adopt a tall dark handsome man from a poor country. We should get two for the price of one.

20 October, 8:35PM

u r so awful here, how could u juge a new program before it actually starts, cant u see how naive, ignorant and biased u r.
and no country is better than the other, each has its own potentials.
get a real life, and stop ur prejudice plz.

sam
21 October, 12:11AM

Here, here Riwa! I for one totally agree.

Well if the media is anything 2 go by apparently brit has got her size '8' figure back (she's only just given birth!!!). But I still believe it; they get rid of baby weight like we get rid of the air in a balloon. They all want black babies or ones with slanted eyes or exotic features. I saw Madonna’s kids once riding on bikes with a hugeeeee American fitness trainer I gather...probably hers. But it was just the children there with him and they were v.cute.

Hmm u watch French movies...German ones too by any chance? Anyhow u only have to look @ all the streakers...even the women look awful. It's not so much the body as it is; it's the flapping about of bits and pieces, and the loose skin going off into its own direction. There’s a forum that has popped up about adoption especially for us…let’s adopt that too. Let's adopt a pair of politicians too as well as the too handsome ones...2 for brains and 2 for doing the cleaning...call it something pretty 2 look at after a hard days work.

first star ac maghreb is not destinated to middel east but to north africa, no body ask u to wach it,second for those ignorants who think that its lebanon who find out this concept u copy it too , and endemol is not lebanese but european or may be american im not sure.what disturbs u if we have our own show? i think that we have right to be betweene us and tunisia have the potential to make huge things so why not.i dont understand all these attacks ,like some body said in europe each country has its star academy so why not us we are not the same besides we are so different in north africa from u . in our countries not every body wach staracademy lebanon ,they wach the french one which is much much better in quality and if we copy something is the french one not lebanese.

u guys i think u should think more about what ur writing before attacking each other..
im lebaese and i think its a great idear the maghreb are making there own Starac and id love to watch it as my favorit stars on starac were from the maghreb..
theres no need to hurt each other..who knows if the program will be popular it dosn't matter what matters is that we don't recklessly state our opinion and cause conflikt between us arab countryes because of a tv show..
There are amazing singers in each of our countryes and we should apreciate them all not try to make ours look better by putting down the others..
make peace u guys..
