What do you think about Arabic actresses who quit acting, become "muhajaba" (wearing the head scarf) then returning back to acting taking more 'conservative' roles?
This Ramadan has witnessed this phenomena.
For example, the well-known actress Suhair Al Babily asked the writers of "Qalb Habiba" to rewrite the scrip more than 3 times to replace phrases like, "I love you" to "I care for you" in addition to her refusal to wear certain types of clothing.
Another Suhair to follow suit after 13 years of absence was Suhair Ramzy who returned to the silver screen in the series "Habib Al Rooh" said her mother was the one who encouraged her to return.
The same is not so for actress Hanan Turk, who decided not to leave the world of acting regardless of the fact that she wore a hijab. She is featured in "Awlad Al Shawari'" or "Street Kids" she decided to go acting without taking a time-off period after wearing the hijab.
What do you think? Should actresses continue to act after this or not?
Is that Hanan Turk??>> oh no shes getting fat.
//>> I just saw a bunch images of hers without hijab. she look different totally different, but She look sexy not to sexy actually. Well then good for her to wear hijab. and Im so proud for Suhair to act again. I wonder how she looks like. // agh this year is killing me
ahmed whats that supposed to mean she is gettin fat?! i mean its not important. and its gr8 this year all the actresses wearing hijabs im soo proud, specially for my tunisian sisters...
godd for them all, they started again but this time is the right time for them, the best thng that i heard from hanan turk when she wear the hijab that she said "when i decide to wear my hijab i said to myself i am not going to wait untill i get older or have a desease in order to wear my hijab",and this is right, actually i wasnt like her before but after she became more religious i do love her very much,as well as all of the rest, but waleg,u also can post an article about those mohajabat who r talking about religious things and made program,in fact i dont feel that they have any creadibility, like shahira or shams el baroudy,i really cant understand how they put themselves in this position???they should learn and learn more not teach or try to convince us,but hanan ,sohair ramzy, and sohair el bably, madyha kamel, afaf shoeib..and other who returned to acting,i think they did nothing wrong they r already actresses so these r their real place and job,but if they wanna made a religious program, they could made a talk show program and invite specialists guests to discuss our life affairs but on religious bases as mona abd el ghany or abir sabry..Hope for them all the best encha allah
How ridiculous...."Replace I love you by I care for you". Utterly ridiculous. Allah Yeshfi.
Hanan Turk is an awesome actress.
I saw Hanan el Turk in Awlad Al Shawari...she is a good actress but what's the point of wearing the hijab, while she is totally shaking her ass & dancing on TV? Anyhow, this whole thing is stupid. They are just doing it to show off!
Good for them and I hope they prosper...
i read that egyption tv presenters wearing hijabs have been BANNED! what is goin on in this world! i turkey..tunisia now egypt. crazy. i mean soon u won't b allowed niqab in Saudi!!! i h8 the west sooo much
what i think is that since they put the skarf on they shuldnt continue acting because there supposed to gve a good image about islam, like they might do something like dance or touch a guys hands or smefing like that. they want to wear the skarf they should respect.
I read some excerpts from that book called Muhajababes on Timesonline and it seemed quite interesting. I do not know what Arabs' muslims take on it but I found it witty that they actually refer to themselves as muhajababes. I have been planning to get it for months now.
* Arab Muslims'.
i think tht its good 4 them 2 continue acting , because it shows tht islam doesnt stop everything, it also shows tht u can wear the hijab and still be a moderate actress , which shows a good image of muslim women wearing the hijab everywhere and tht they choose to do wht they wnt.
i think its really pathetic that they act! i mean if they chose to get veiled, it doesnt go with acting, cuz when the act they have to give up stuff... i mean masalan 7ala she7a is now veiled kaman and in her movie he friend is almost naked! it doesnt make sense. and i hate it when they come on tv and take about religion as if khalas they're experts walla they kno they're going to heaven, as if they got the ticket.
im sorry to say but actresses are getting veiled because rite now this is what makes more money. i kno its sad to accept bas how else can we explain all of them coming back suddenly, not the new ones hana turk and 7ala bas the old ones, suhair el babaly, suhar ramzy, and sabreen; what are the chances that this is unplanned!
im glad u all feel happy for them, but i think its not what u really feel, deep down inside u r ashamed of what they do! everyone feels happy to see ppl getting religious, but what they're doing is, sorry to say, crap! and its very obvious, even for the blind to see!
3amatan, im not saying they're bad actereses bas they gotta chose!
wutever... they're fooling no one but themselves!
how about youll that made stupid comments about that muhajabat shouldnt act go get a freakin life. If you put a scarf on it doesnt mean ur life ended u can still do what eva you want.
i didnt say they shudnt act... but they dhudnt come on tv and talk the way they do....
lovelyleb,
i think u need to go learn a thing or two about islam b4 u speak... giving ur own fatwas is just plain retarded and u sound like an idiot
This is for Fatima: What the hell are you talking about?!!!!!!!!!! I saw "Awlad el Shaware"
and Hanan Turk played her part as "Zeinab" terrificly well. Just so that you know, Hanan is a very very respectible actress and she absolutly
donīt shake her ass if you think so. I mean, we all who saw "Awlad el shaware" saw how Hanan danced and her dance was very respecteble, it was practicly nothing!!!!!!!!!!! About Hanan wearing a hijab or not, is not something we people have to discuss. Itīs a decision Hanan has taken and we shold respect that. This is to all of you who critisis Hanan Turk: Why donīt you all just get a life instead of going around and critisising the poor woman?! If you donīt like her then go read about Haifa, Elissa and Nancy. Hanan is the best. She did a sucess in "Awlad el Shaware".
I think to wear the hejab, it is a personal decision, and there is nothing wrong with going back to acting, as long as it is a respectable role, afterall Islam doesn't say not to be part of the normal society, as long as u portray yrself and yr role in a respectful, and meaningful way.
i think you are right ,egyptianprincess.
i love you so much!!!! you are the only one who belive in yourself, so i was to said i'm soooooo prove of you!! Belive who you are not what people said!i saw you on tv i didn't belive it i just like how you look!you look so pretty
