Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, is believed to have died from a severe disease according to a Saudi intelligence services.
This information was published in the French newspaper L'Est Republicain on its website on Saturday. The newspaper printed what it said was a copy of a report dated September 21 and said it was shown to Jacques Chirac, the president and Dominique de Villepin, the prime minister and France's interior and defense ministers.
‘According to a usually reliable source, the Saudi intelligence services are now convinced that Osama bin Laden is dead’ the document said. ‘The information gathered by the Saudis indicates that the head of al Qaeda was a victim while he was in Pakistan on August 23, 2006, of a very serious case of typhoid which led to a partial paralysis of his internal organs.’; The report also states that bin Laden's geographic isolation made all medical assistance impossible.
If this news is confirmed, it might explain the absence of Osama bin Laden from releasing any new video tapes on television news networks on the fifth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks…
