This Ramadan is unlike any other! It will be more crowded than ever with TV series from around the Arab world! Satellite TV channels will compete for the best series & the majority of the audiences.
Egyptian series are many & it will be very difficult to follow more than two –in my opinion- ! What is noticeable is that there will be a very ferocious competition between very famous faces that have decided to make a come-back this year, like Laila Ilwi in Nour Al Sabah, Samira Ahmad in Daawat Farah, Mirvat Amin in Ahzan Mariam, Nadia Al Jundi in Man Atlak Al Rasas Ala Hind Allam?, Fifi Abdo in Souk Al Khudar & Tayseer Fahmi in Qalb Al Donia.
On another level, if you like Yahia Al Fakharani, then you’ll want to watch Sikat Al Hilali, in which this famous actor stars along side poular actors like Minna Shalabi.
As for Nour El Sharif, you’ll see him in Hadrat Al Mutahham Abi, a series about Mr. Abdul Hamid, a high-school teacher that gets a little bit too involved with students’ problems.
There is another interesting series worth watching, which is entitled: Hada’ek Al Shaitan, starring famous Syrian actor Jamal Sulaiman & Egyptian actress Sumaya Al Khashab.
Another much awaited series is the one about the life of Egyptian legend Abdul Halim Hafeth. This series will be aired on MBC, & will star Shadi Shamel, the winner of the program Alandalib man yakoon?
Syrians on the other hand, have made it a policy for a couple of years now, not to deluge channels with uncountable series, but to present a few that are of high quality.
This year there are two Syrian series that are very much worth watching; the historic series Khaled Bin al Walid, about the life of the famous Islamic leader Khaled Bin al Walid.
The second entitled Bab El Hara, which is about the Syrian society in the year 1929.
As for the yearly comedy Tash ma Tash, this time it’s number 14 & will be aired exclusively on MBC.

Great soap!! But we should better pray and read Quran rather than watching tv series, but Resting chway is not haram.
Ewwww...Last ramadan was awsome...they had "a7lam 3adeya" for yosra, and for nadia jundi and more and more...this ramadan will be so boring...i think some lebanese serieses will be gr8...

Honestly, all I'm watching this ramadan is bab al hara, the syrian drama. It's vert traditional and compelling. Ramadan Kareem to the entire muslim world! Allah i3eeda 3alaikum bil 9iha wil 3afia inshallah!!!........... :)

u ppl look at ramadan like its some sort of major party time instaed of a religious period. all these acotrs will go to hell for distarcting u from worship, which ur supposed to be doing for Allah. and these mosalsalat beta3ado million alf mara, so u can see them later. plz rethink ur plans for ramadan.

And Natalie YEAH, Ramadan is a time of Party for me I celebrate it every year,so dont let me waste this lovely oriental taste by saying do this and dont , it's the only time i feel like people come back to god and their good tradetions. and after we finish our prayers there is no harm to watch some television materials like Abna'a Haroun Al Rachid, i think you yourself will like to watch it ... Allah Youfaqek for the better..take care

Bab il Hara is the best of all the tv show that we see now on mcb or qatar.. anyways were the store is at now .. it is were idajchare son get's killed by the snack ... & his wife had died just couple weeks before.. he blind guy in the hara is a spy... he is not blind...the rest of the store is going to cost $$$$$$$$$. =)oh aswell the owner of coffe shop ...his wife delivered a boy.. he gave aout sweeets and meat for 7 days ...ok bye

Hi guys im Canadian with Syrian parents thus making me either first generation or second i really dont know ... anyways ive visited syria a cople of times and i love it... second of all im a fanatic of Bab El Hara... yes i understand perfectly arabic read and talk ... im horrible at writting so dont ask me lol ... i just need to know what happened to the last episode of bab el hara it didnt play at its usual time??? thx beace out guys

Can somebody tell me when the second juz of bab al hara will air? I was so surprised (and thrilled!) to see that it will have another set of episodes! I have been watching it on the qatariyyah satellite channel.
John on the qatariyyah channel they changed the time without notice. We only found it by keeping the tv on all day. We missed episode 31 because we found out that it aired while we were at salat al-eid, episode 32 was on Tuesday and today was the last episode but there was no end, and it said there would be a juz thaani.
Could you please post the link of the exact page where we can d/l the beb al hara theme song - for the benefit of those who cannot read arabic as well. It is hell trying to find it on the 6rbtop site.
