New tapes of emergency calls made on the September 11 attack of the World Trade Center and transcripts of the taped phone calls were released on Wednesday. There were about 1,600 tapes released; each reminds the families of the victims and the survivors of their painful memories of the tragedy. In agony, they gathered to listen to voices of people trapped in the burning and crumbling twin towers, begging for help.
As ordered by the court, the recordings were already edited to eliminate voices of civilians. Voices of government employees and firefighters though were not removed. However, there’s one call that included a victim’s voice. It was the voice of Melissa C. Doi, a 32-year old financial manager of one of the companies on the 83rd floor of WTC’s South Tower.
In a panicky voice, she repeatedly asked the operator “I'm going to die, aren't I?” The unidentified operator tried to console Melissa and pleaded her to think positive and say her prayers. She stayed on the line with Melissa for twenty four minutes continuously encouraging her to calm down even when Melissa was no longer talking.
The tapes are released to aid in the investigations, but since most of the calls are too short, they only afford us the slightest clues about what happened.

sad, GOD bless all their souls
It is a big tragedy but statistics shows that 30% of the Americans have forgotten what happended at 11/9.
I would like to give out my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives that day...... ;(
I would just like to say that Osama bin Laden is not considered Muslim because Muslims do not committ criminal acts. Islam is a religion built on peace and kindness to others..... ;)
It's a tragedy and what happened to the innocent people on 9/11 was orchestrated by a crminial mind like those Islamic extremists who brought shame and disgrace to Muslims everywhere.
its over i got bored of 9/11 kalas bas 9/11
