Columbian singer Shakira, who is also of Lebanese origin, has recently announced that she will be singing Fairuz’s famous song ‘Ateni Alnaya Wa Ghani’ – Give me the flute & sing –.
Shakira will be singing the famous song in Arabic & will also give it a re-mix.
There was a great hype about the last movie of late Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki, Halim, about the life of the great Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Hafeth.
But it seems the hype was not in its place!

Reem seems to have blurted out all the behind the camera secrets of the reality TV show LBC Star Academy to some Algerian newspapers & magazines.
Reem accused the program's director of being biased towards Lebanese contestants & of accepting 'under the table' deals.
LBC has threatened Reem with a law suit & possibly jail if she didn't stop her accusations.

Way to go reem...That LBC (Low Backstabbing Criminal) should know that no one is going to shut up for them...just like how they had reem a nominee for 6 times and mohamad ibrahm 3 times, they should get all the money they need from the khaleej and mahgreb for all the law suies they want to have against any one. these people, espaecially rula, should learn how to live their livs in a better way, and manage getting their money in a decent nd sufficieant way like all the other channels....way to go reem...hope all the others do the same exact thing you did...
I knew the LBC would do that sooner or later. After all, the purpose of the program since its launch two years ago was to milk more money from the audience especially from the Gulf and not to mention how they discriminated between the candidates based on their nationlities. Reem is not only one who spoke out against them, Mohamad Fahad, Mohamad Al Shukri and Jehan did the sameand perhaps more.
but shakira doesnt speak arabic how can she sing arabic? or she is just gonna take pronounciation classes? i dont like her anyways, her voice is so manly but nice body lol

shakira can speak arabic but not fluently. they have also showed a video of her last week on the Univison spanish channel when she was 11 years old singing arabic and bellydancing.

About ahmed zaki and abdulhalim . Well, i saw the movie twice till now it is FANTASTIC! i was really touched , there is abig contract in the stories of abdulhalim and ahmed zaki i mean both were from poor families and both were orphans and both suffered to reach what they wanted abdulhalim and his career of singing , ahmed zaki and the acting thing and they both died by stupid freaking diseases cancer and belharesya i swear i cried 4 times in da movie it is really so touching people just think that they are using ahmed zaki in da movie but hell nooo it is wonderful u will adore the movie i swear

as for reem,
i love reem but i dont think she should break contract rules tell all. i know she is doing it only because she is mad she was kicked out, and yes she was mistreated. but she should let go and not take it out on LBC. she should be thankful she got this far and she is now a star even if she didnt make it to the finals. reem habibty let it go. your a beauty and you will always be remembered.

If the Shakira news is true, that is wonderful of her. Shakira has always represented her Lebanese background. Belly dancing didn't come from Colombian! It's natural that she'd have an affinity to Colombia because that is where she lived and grew up. Her Lebanese father was born in New York and lived in Latin America most of his life. If you look up past news article about Shakira, you know she has come to the defense of the West's perceptions of arabs. She is very pround to be Lebanese and arab.
