There is nothing wrong with creating. Dubai in the last few years has become one of the most attractive cities ever. It resembles the most beautiful cities in the world and it became a touristic phenomenom. It also donates much to needy counrries. It has a strong, stable and powerful economy not only based on oil or tourism but they also have industries. So what's wrong in spending more money to gain more luxury and success. Go On Dubai.

I do not think it is a waste of money, it is a brilliant idea. No they should not give the money to anyone, they are improving their country. If they spent it on anything else, they would be criticised as well, it is resentment no denying it, everyone suffers from it at one stage or another. I do not know why compare it to Lebanon, we the Lebanese always say Lebanon this Lebanon that hata we jinxed it. If this terrible war keeps on going(pray it doesn't) the Israeli will leave us with nothing with rubble. I think they assumed we need to build the world's largest stadium.

The Tourism in Lebanon can't be compared in anyway even after years from now with Dubai.... Dubai is attracting everyone from all over the world ... Its true Lebanon has many things to offer (Tourism wise) but its not yet comparable with Dubai or even with other Arabic countries which attracting millions of tourists each year ...

I don't know what's wrong with creating a man-made island when Dubai has a very stable and strong economy and has been attracting investors world wide. For your information the UAE held a charity campaign for the children of Lebanon two weeks ago and millions were donated as well as medical care. If this is another country which is not from the Gulf there wouldn't be these negative comments.

Before the war? its been war in the middle east for 58 years. The recent lebanon war is not the only one. Sure it aint nothing wrong with bulding up ur country but when a country already has so much while a couple of miles away their sisters and brothers are being bombed then a rotating tower or a fantasy island isent exactly the right thing to build because then it gets haram.
You should read the quran to see what God feels about people like that. All money and blessings comes from God as a test and as a trust. So we shouldnt betray Gods trust by building the highest towers and spending millions and billions on stuff like that. we should spend those money on helping people getting a home, help people go to school without beeing bombed or coming home finding ur parents dead. Its not to much to ask for.

i said i HEARD i didnt generalise. gulf women i had a chance to see werent pretty lol but i havent seen many + i HEARD gulf women were ugly so ofcourse there could be few exceptions. but is that true that they are ugly? is it coz of cousin + cousin intermarriages? is that why they are also so short? i mean chinese grew up by 11 cm avarage during past 20 years but arabs are still 150-165cm with rare exceptions.
