Did you know that there is a casting taking place in Tunisia these days for the first edition of Star Academy Maghreb?
Star Academy Maghreb is another version of Star Academy, but this one is specifically for countries in North Africa; Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya and probably Mauritania as well.
Many young people showed up for the casting, Which not only requires the participant to sing Arabic songs but but R & B, Rai music, Regea & many other styles are also welcome!
Do you think Star Academy Maghreb will succeed like LBC Star Academy?
By Guest Writer bambusha
no it will not be succeful who would watch it at a time like this
I don't think they should make a Star Academy Maghreb, they should just stick to the arab Star Academy and join with all the other arabs it's funner that way. Stay as a whole and don't separate Maghreb from the other arab countries in shows like these because Maghreb has lots of good talents especially Tunisia. I like to watch them all together. P.S.May God Be with Lebanon.
the middleeast is BURNING, who cares about staracademy???
I watched a T.v star Academy
wtf??? you ppl got really no life at this point??? lebanon is at war and all you care about is you stupid megrebi wannabe singer who just has noyhing else to do than copying the real v show....!! NO it would not suceed cuz nobody is interested!!
its funny..no one cares about Iraq or Palestine do they?? what u mean like a time like this??
i mean come on just caz its the middle easts Hollywood that everyone iz worried..what about all the iraqis and palestinains that suffered?? no one cared about them..
i love Lebanon too..but i don't think it makes a difference if Lebanon has probs or not..since many other Arab countries have suffered before..and Star Academy happened
Peace to middle east..Yalla ya Hezboallah :)
and wipe israel off the map 4 eva !!!
NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO ONE WILL WATCH ANYWAYS..only the family of people on show!????!!!!

ok..PLEASE WAKE UP FROM UR ALLUSIONS N WORLD OF MUSIC WHO CARES ABOUT THAT NOW!?
Give the writer a break. Yes there is a hideous war in Lebanon but it won't affect the entertainment industry in every country, wars always happenes through Arab History. Beside StarAcademy is an international show and not a lebanese one.
But honestly I think that StarAcademy Maghreb won't succeed because of the dilect problem. Many arabs honestly don't understand the Magherby dilect. However I think it will be very interesting because of the new and different singing styles. Good Luck
yes yes we no that leabnon is at war n im prayin 4 lebanon all the tym i hop the war endnz 4 lebanon and evry 1 getting angry u need 2 calm dwn abit dnt jus get angry ova a reality tv show every1 nowz der war goin on everywer n we hop 4 this 2 stop
may god be with lebanon iraq israel and all the countries at war inshallah it will stop soon
i think it will be a gr8 show..i would watch it but im in uk and here i cant get arab channels :( but im english/tunisian and i think its time Magrab get some attention instead of the usual Egypt and Lebanon..i mean they great... magrab singers: Latifa, Saber Roubi, Samira Said,Cheb mami, Khaled..these are the true stars..not haifa..nancy etc...
uknown,
yeeeeeeee i agreee wit u itz alwayz tlkjn bout haifa and nancy even tho i lik dem but still der are other singers dat are talented
It has always been the way of life, you see a stranger's death, you go "ooh haram" and you go on with life. However you only feel the acute pain when your dearest and nearest is hurt. We Lebanese are hurt now because it is our own country, but life wil go on in other countries, they have a right to see and enjoy life. War was going on in Iraq and Palestine, and we still had superstar and starac. Good luck to the program and the people in it. Cheer up Lebanese people, no matter how desperate and hurt we feel this will end soon( everything has an ending and a beginning) and Lebanon hopefully will rebuild again(it always has). Yalla I am not going to cancel my trip to Lebanon until I am certain I cannot go.
unkown... are nancy and haifa the only singers in lebanon!!!!! u regard them and forget fayrooz, majida il roomi, wadee3 il safi, julia botros, !!!!!
no and lsts pray lebona
I don't think it will succeed like Star Academy LBC! First of all, only people from North Africa are going to watch the show, because no one else will be able to understand a word!
Second of all, there won't be the same facilities as the original Star Academy like the huge stage, famous artists from around the world! audio-visual effects..etc..
GUYS.............I TOLD U FROM THE BEGINNING....THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH US(ARABS) WE ARE NOT UNITED..............THIS IS OUR PROBLEM.......FOR THE PERSON WHO'S SAYING THAT LEBANON HAS NO GOOD SINGERS, WAKE UP...WHAT ABOUT FAIROUZ, MAJDA EL ROUMI...ETC............ WE SHOULD ALL HELP THE ARAB WORLD NOT ONLY LEBANON.....BUT LEBANON, PALESTINE AND IRAQ....FOR THE PROGRAM, OFCOURSE IT WON'T BE SUCCESSFUL AS THE ORIGINAL STARAC.....GO LEBANON, GO PALESTINE, GO IRAQ, GO ARAB WORLD
lebnon hatafdal the best wa isa trg3 ba27san staracademy 4 wa mosh hansib lebnanon tadi3
le but de la starac maghreb est de faire connaitre la chanson magrébine un peu partout dans le monde.
Il faut avouer que la starac lbc s'interresse seulement au chanson orientale.
Cette starac se déroulera en tunisie.
viva tunisia!!!!!!!!!
well i don't think that it would be succesful cuz it's only the northern african countries who can apply and lbc's star academy accept more countries, and i don't think that you guys should be lookin forward for the 4th one cuz lebanon is in danger. you ppl who only care about star academy are so spoiled cuz look at what is happenin in the middle east...this is WWIII ppl...wake up!!!!!
star academy is a french idea ok?
then, maghreb countries have a different culture, especially in terms of music...and i dont remember many maghreban songs performed in star academy middle east.and artists from the maghreb who prefer singing egyptian or lebanese songs can participate in star academy lebanon so why are u worried? and finally star academy is not a political entity ,so stop saying don't seperate them...come on plz...what about noujoum alkhaleej and studio al fan and all???
i thinjk that peoplle just should leave ther elives and this is stupid i think all arabs should stick togather
People, get over it.
1)If the Middle Eastern Star Ac wasn't so focused on being Lebanese (let's be honest, the last couple of years, the only folk songs we hear are Lebanese...why not hear folk songs from Iraq? Egypt? etc...and don't say it's about the accent; if everyone has to learn the Lebanese dialect, even if it's easier, why can't Lebanese learn other dialects?), maybe they wouldn't feel the need for it.
2)For people worried about the production values, let not forget, the Arab Star Ac Season 1 was so ghetto. It was only cause they made money that the production values got better in Season's 2 and 3. If Star Ac Maghreb makes money, expect furute seasons to get better.
3)Um, sorry, but we as Lebanese need to get over ourselves. We tend to party and have reality shows when the rest of the Arab tends to suffer (Iraq, Palestine, when Algeria had it's problems, etc). If we don't care about the rest of the Arab World, why should they care about us?
4)Star Ac IS NOT FRENCH OR LEBANESE! IT IS ORIGINALLY A SPANISH SHOW!
Lets stop making this political. All this will do is allow more people to become musicians and stars, and at the end of the day, is that such a bad thing? Or are we Lebanese so vain and full of ourselves that we can't allow anywhere besides Lebanon to be a center of entertainment?
Best of luck to all the Star Ac Maghreb candidates.
Well, the maghreb has a right to make its own starac. hmm... let's count how many algerians have been accepted into Star Academy LBC? oh yeah, TWO. Out of a total of FOUR SEASONS! Star Academy LBC only accepts the Sharki people. And you keep saying why don't the Arab unite? Well, we say that too but then you go and make fun of us. Now, that's really united isn't it? So we might as well stand up and make our own show if we're being put down upon in another.
And in the LBC star academy we barely hear any Maghrebi songs and they are always edited to make them sound different. So no, we want to have a star academy that accurately shows our culture.
Yeah, how can the maghreb be stealing anything from Lebanon when Lebanon took it from Spain???
slt tout le monde soutenez imane Moulabbi à la starac libannaise !! soyez nombreux ! on est fiers d'elle
nop it will be not successed because there will be no egyptians or lebanese or sudian arabian!
