not that i am interested in star ac. or the contestants coz frakly it was a bore, but considering u offered the articles with the text, and considering that this is an english language website (be it for an arab audience), and considering the text is in arabic and too small, could u not atleast do these girls a favour & pick out the main points of this interview even if it is dull & translate in english the odd point about the contestant Fadi, and about viv's plans? we bas 3ala keda.

Describe your relation with the people that criticize you
I knew about his news from the people particularly when I didn’t had enough time to know what was happening in the academy…A lot criticized me about my behaviors toward him. But I don’t “blame them” because they are just seeing a small part of the true.
-Because of the montage?
And the people also interpret things on their own way (think a bit then answer) Look, every show will make the impossible to have the largest amount of viewers…and that’s “cleverness” but it bother sometimes the people concerned.
-Were you bothered from the way they used to show your image in Star Academy?

-When your relation with Fady started?
I don’t know the exact period of time because Fady and I don’t count it in days week or months.
-For 2 years like we published it?
(She giggles) No…it’s approximately 3 years and a half.
-Where have you met him?
In an Internet “center” (Ok in the Arabic countries there is places where you can go and find computers to go to the Internet) that is close from the place where I live. Fady and I used to go there and we met few times, I liked him and he liked me. And he was talking to me a lot and are relation got bigger.
-Are you older that him?
Yes I’m 1 year and a half older that him…(from what I know, he’s actually 24 and he’ll be 25 in October 20…) But there is no age problem with him or with me.
-How he used to flirt with you?
(she giggles) I don’t remember exactly…
-Was he saying “Oh “floor” beware of what’s on you” (it’s an Arabic expression)
(she giggles) No…
-But I feel that he’s from that kind…
No he was very shy and not social…I loved him because he was calm…When I was with my friend for example, I was asking him to talk with them…But I felt when I saw some changes after he entered the academy. He became more social.
-His personality changed?
No it didn’t, but the Academy strengthened it and “ameliorated” it.
-What was the thing you hated about Fady, and did it disappeared after he entered the Academy?
The most important thing is he stopped smoking and he sleeps earlier now…And I like the fact that he’s more social now and like to talk
-Did he surprised you when you saw him in the tv?
He surprised me because he was serious in his work and I didn’t expect that he would endure all that stress…(she giggles) he was a bit “tanbal” (It’s an Arabic word I guess it means someone who “vedge”) (she continues) I knew that he had a beautiful voice but I was worried he wouldn’t show all his capacities. He surprised me and his parents.
-Did you expected him to have the high percentage from the votes of the public?
Never…I expected him to win but not with that high percentage.
-There is a lot of rumors about you and we published few of them…Is it true that you have been married once?
(giglles) wow, that’s a new one and my father would been so happy when he’ll hear that.
-It is said that you’re rich and you spend on Fady?
Fady isn’t “poor” (I don’t know the exact English word for “mo3daman” the meaning in Arabic is for the people that don’t have money to eat, and don’t have anything) I’m financially comfortable and thank God…My father is the principal of the school “(they mention the name of the school but I don’t understand) and sometimes I work with him in the public relations and for the “buying” (I guess it’s “buying”) of the books
-You’re financial situation is better that fady’s?
(she try to not recognize the fact) I’ve told you that he isn’t “poor”…
-What was Fady doing before he joined the Academy?
He went to a lot of things…He was Manager in the Hard Rock (she think) (There is a sentence I don’t know what the the meaning is sorry) And he in a lot of occasions spent on me and got me gifts

It isn't easy, and heck, if someone told me to translate that article I still wouldn't do it because it would be kind of a waste of time for me. I used to find out information about Fadi from the people around me, especially when I didn’t have the time to watch the show. Many people criticize my behavior towards Fadi, but I don’t care about what they think, since what they see is only a fraction of what is really going on.

People themselves interpret things the way they want to understand them…(thinks for a while)…Look, every show cares about getting the highest number of viewers possible, which may bother the people being targeted at times.

Since when are you in a relationship with Fadi?
I am not certain, since me and Fadi don’t calculate our relationship by day or month or year.

How did you get to know each other?
In an internet café near my house, Fadi used to go there and so did I. We met several times; I liked him and so he liked me as well, and he used to talk to me until our relationship eventually developed into something more.

Yes, but only by a year and a half…He’s 25 and I’m 26..(trying to justify), but we don’t care about the age difference.

No he was very shy and wasn’t social at all. And I loved him because he was a very reserved person. For instance, when we were out with my friends, I used to ask him to talk to them…But I was happy when I saw him at the Academy, he changed and became more social.

It didn’t change, but the Academy made him stronger, and improved his personality.
What is the bad trait you hated that Fadi had, but disappeared after his experience at the Academy?

(Laughs) Oh my, that’s a new rumor...And my dad will be very happy to hear it..
It is said that you are rich, and that you spend money on Fadi?
Fadi is not deprived, and I am financially well off, yes and Thank God…My father is the manager of a school called “Mar…” and sometimes I work with him in Public relations to market books.
What did he work as before he entered the Academy?
He had several jobs. At once he worked as a manager at Hard Rock Café, (thinks then adds) I can’t say who’s richer than whom, because this factor doesn’t matter to us and we don’t discuss it. He spent on money many times and got me many gifts.
He loves you a lot, but you don’t love him. Is that true?
Is it possible that I’ve been with him for 3 years and a half, and don’t love him? We may have our differences as a couple, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love him..
We felt he loves you more than you love him for your phone calls at the Academy?
Maybe its because he always compliments me, I am very guarded, when I have something that saddens me, I don’t express what’s within me. I didn’t publicize my relationship with Fadi, not even to my family, until he entered the Academy and our phone calls became public. I am very shy, and whenever he tried to hug me in front of people, I would be very embarrassed.
Didn’t your parents know you were in a relationship with Fadi before the Academy?
They knew of our relationship through Star Academy, they used to suspect our relationship but I didn’t make them feel it’s serious..
Are your parents strict?
No, but they want me to be with the right person. They had the wrong impression of Fadi, and some reservations about our relationship.
Did they consider him unsuitable for you?
They always used to tell me to take it slow, which is why I used to keep our relationship a secret. He, on the other hand, used to tell everyone about our relationship. (Thinks then says) this may be why they think he loves me more than I love him.
What was your parents’ reaction when they saw Fadi talking to you through the TV?
When they found out he was accepted at the Academy, he came and visited them to have a chat with my Mum, where he explained our relationship to her, and other issues that she didn’t know of. She was very moved when she saw us saying our goodbyes and seeing me cry. She really made sure that he loved me after seeing him at the Academy.
Did her impression of him change?
A lot...My mum loves him a lot, but my Dad doesn’t really watch the show..(laughs) Once, we were watching the dailies with my Dad, and my Dad pointed at Fadi and said “who is this guy?” So we laughed and told him it was Fadi, who used to visit us.
Are you and Fadi planning to make your relationship more official?
Maybe, but I won’t discuss it until we make sure. I prefer that he dedicate his time now to his ambitions and dreams now. We can then discuss our relationship when he’s done.
What is the most thing you love about Fadi?
His strong personality; He’s also very caring and understanding...
We used to get bothered when you used to get angry at him, since you should’ve been more understanding of the fact that he’s tired and never leaves the academy?
(Laughs) Our relationship has always been like this…
Does he always try to make it up to you?
Its not that I’m always angry and he’s always making it up to me, I’m just trying to act childish.
You like it when he spoils you?
I like to hear nice things from him, I’m used to that and so is he, and so I don’t see anything wrong with it.
Didn’t you feel guilty when you blamed him for what he said about his relationship with you and Maya, as a response to a question from the audience? You really gave him a hard time that day because you thought he preferred Maya to you?
That day, I wasn’t keep track of the audience’s messages, and a few of my friends told me what had happened in their own interpretation. So I was rushed in my interpretation towards what he said about me and Maya.
They really criticized you about saying that you were going to camp outside of the Academy..
(Laughs) (Betty??) called me from the Academy, and offered me to come and camp near the Academy with the cats and dogs as a romantic gesture on Valentine’s night. I was excited at the idea, but when I suggested it to my Dad, he completely refused.
Just how much were people conveying wrong news to you?
A lot used to ask me “what do you want with Fadi?” and many used to tell me he wouldn’t even look at me after leaving the Academy, because everything towards me was an act. But I never believed them although I was bothered by what they said. People cannot believe that there could be two people who love each other this much, which is why they thought one of us, was lying to the other.
And what was your response to those people?
Fadi proved to me that he really loves me, and I tried to be close to him through this experience, and we really love each other even though we have our differences.
How is your relationship with Fadi’s family?
Thank God, it’s very good. I always visit them and I love them.
And do they love you?
I hope so, I know that they worry about Fadi and they may have some remarks about my behavior and actions. But I feel that they do love me.
You visited the Academy twice; why didn’t the management air your visits?
(Hesitates) I don’t know precisely what happened, and I never commented on this issue.
The management would’ve benefited from airing your visits, since many people were curious to see you, don’t you think?
(Laughs) I can imagine that! Many people used to call me and ask about me.
How did they get your number?
Fadi once said my number on air…
Didn’t you find out why they didn’t air your visits?
I never thought about it, but they said they didn’t have time to air them!
Did you feel that the management had something against you?
(Thinks for a while) I don’t know, but I wondered about it.
Finally, what final words do you have for Fadi?
I ask him to always trust me no matter what happens, and to never care about what people say like I do. And I really hope from all my heart that I can one day repay him for everything he did for me. He’s the only one who really understands me and loves me for who I am. He even becomes childlike when he’s with me! (Thinks) I wish him success in whatever he does, and I hope he fulfills all his dreams.
