The Associated Press is reported last week that federal customs officials have seized a Mercedes Benz from an Army reservist which they believe may have belonged to former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

First Sgt. William von Zeal said he bought the white 1988 Mercedes Benz 560 SEL for about $5,000 while serving in Iraq. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. The car is armor-plated, bulletproofed, equipped with loudspeakers, hidden microphones and it has also a series of pipes that shot flames from the sides.

Saddam Hussein's Mercedes Benz seems to be treated as a "possible war trophy."

Von Zeal was not charged with a crime and the car case is still being investigated by customs agents and the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction.
