Wednesday marked the end of the fifth season of American Idol.
Taylor Hicks the 29-year-old from Alabama, shouted: "I'm living the American dream" after Ryan Seacrest announced that Hicks is the winner.
The Idol finale show included stars Prince & Mary J. Blige.

About this season.. Did you know that Simon Cowell didn't wanted Taylor hicks to go to Hollywood in the first audition.. Randal & Paula saved him..
Well in my opinion.. Chris Daughtery is the unoffical American idol.. Every song.. he change it to suit him..
