Radwa Ashour an Egyptian writer born in 26-05-1946. She is graduated from the Faculty of Arts, English department, Cairo University. She has an M.A. in comparative literature from the University of Cairo, Egypt and a PHd in Afro American literature from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA. Now she is a professor of English literature in Ain Shams University, Egypt.
She has written several books including both fiction and literary studies. Fiction such as:
"The Journey: Memoirs of an Egyptian Student in America", a critical exploration of American society and the American psyche through the eyes of an adult Egyptian graduate visiting the US for the first time, 1983. Warm Stone, a novel set in Cairo, 1985 .Khadija and Sawsan, a novel in two parts narrated respectively by mother and daughter, 1989.I Saw the Date Palms, a collection of short stories, 1989. Siraj, a novel set on an imaginary island off the coast of east Africa in the last decades of the 19th century, 1992. The Granada Trilogy, a novel in three parts recounting the history of three generations of a Spanish Arab (Granadine Morisco) family, covering the period from November 1491 to October 1609, 1994-1995. Apparitions, an autobiographical novel, 1998. One of the most sarcastic is Mrs. R Reports, 2001 and others. Her literary studies include The Search for a black poetics: A study of Afro American Critical writings, Phd, 1975. Gibran and Blake (in English), 1972 and many others.

To all who beleive that I am interested in Radwa Ashour just because she is Egyptian, this is not true at all!!
The Arab world got many many many great writers and we are going to read to all of them later on (enshallah).
I just started with this novel because as I told you before as you proceed reading it you will feel as if you are involved in a fairy tail at the same time you will feel it is the very real story of us.

I went to many book stores in Tunisia to buy the book ( Grenada Trilogy) but i did not find it :(
Today i will keep on looking for after work.
