This week the prime is the last for this year 2005, and is a welcoming party to the coming New Year 2006.
The guests for this week were Kuwaiti Abdulla Ruweshid and Lebanese Grace Dieb.
The students to sing along with Ruweshid were Khalifa from UAE, Issa from Bahrain, Mohammad from Kuwait, Shadia from Morocco and Shaima from Tunisia.
As for the ones to sing with Grace Deib they were Hana from Morocco, Rim from Algeria, Hani from Egypt and Manal from Lebanon.
Star Academy 1 star Sofia Marikh also participated and sang with the students as well.
The top student this week Jordanian Walid Samara got a surprise for his achievement, and will be spending New Year’s Eve in Paris! Cool!
The segment I loved most was the one where six of the students showed their talent of playing the guitar; Issa, Walid, Mohammad, Wajdi, Maya and Fadi all play the guitar and they play it well.
They played the tunes and sang the words of two very famous songs; knocking on Heaven’s Door by Gun’s N Roses, and We Will Rock You by Queen. It was Excellent.
Sofia Marikh also presented a song, and to who looked closely she looked like she had gotten the Haifa Wehbe virus! As for the students who sang with her, they were Manal from Lebanon & Marwa from Egypt.
A touching song of solidarity to Baghdad, Lebanon and Jerusalem, was a strong message of unity and strength. And that was the end of the prime.
The results for the nominees, the audiences voted mostly for Rim Ghazali from Algeria.
The other Academy students had to choose between Fadi & Jihane … And the one to leave and go home is Jihane Khammas from Morocco.

Jihane is so pretty, but really no voice at all.. Fadi has a great karisma, so it's o surprise that they chose him to stay! And Rim has to go! She just got the many votes bcos of her GREAT sister Salma..

Jihan had 25.76%, Fadi 18.68% and Reem won with 55.56%. Then the students voted and Jihan got 7 vote and 9 votes from fadi. Fadi sucks and Reem rocks.

Like I said, Jihane and Fady are 2 contestants that are difficult to compare and contrast. Yet both deserve a second chance, and should be given one, but it doesn't work that way. Fady got his, Jihane didn't, poor girl. I hope Jihane knows that it was very close and she received 25% of the audience vote, which was more than Fady's. So she knows the audience still loves her and hopes to see her in the future on STAR ACADEMY 3!!

I really think that Walid is the best one of all because he is mature and acts like a gentelman. I also like Hanna she has a very good voice.
I agree with Slim, on some grounds. Jihane does have potential, and everyone isn't quite seeing it. Yet she doesn't have to stay on STAR ACADEMY 3 to prove it. She is favored more than Fady by the audience and with that, and hard-work she can go as far as a winner of Star Academy. But Slim... You can't get mad over something like this, this season's first prime, was difficult to predict and has a diverse audience, but I am extraordinarily happy to see that COUNTRY doesn't matter anymore, the qualities and characteristics do, that's how it should be!
Iam bloody pissed at the Tunisian contestants no offence to any Tunisian, Wajdi and Chayma. Slim I so agree with you that last year all of North Africa helped her including Morocco no offence even with her horrible personality they voted.But god man! But I was the most shocked at Manale she was like Jihane's best friend in the academy Iam sure she did it under sheer jealousy just because of the fact Jihane is prettier then her. Just to tell you guys Iam not from North Africa nor am I Khaleeji Iam not even Arab LOL. I live in Pakistan and follow the show addictively. At first I wanted Jihane to be saved but after Fady's version of we will rock you I thought he had to be given a chance. Though I would have loved it that Jihane would have still been there but hey thats how the cookie crumbles and it will get worse. As far as the top 5 choices are concerned I agree with Walid, Maya and Wajdi 100% but Hani and Khalifa WTF! Ok Hani is good but I think Joseph, Chayma , Chadya or even Rakiya are better one of them should have been in the top 5 surprised there. I was shocked that Fadi got the lowest votes from the audience and the bigger shocker was the fact that the Arab world for the first time I think if Iam not wrong saved a woman in a mixed gender nomination with a landslide victory.

the medley's were better than the normal singing .. for me the ppl that stood out the most were shaima (but needs to work on her expression) ... hana .. and mohammad al dossari (again needs to control himself and stop dancing or making micheal jackson style moves to arabic songs especially when you're singing a song about baghdad!!!!!) .. thats it for now ..

Now, I know what has been bugging me. Star Academy has a history of BAD results in PRIMES. People last year were going back and forth of who should've left and who should've stayed. Don't you have a least bit thought that the staff and crew TOLD Manal to vote for Fady, I mean come on Manal and Jihane were best friends! And what would have happened if she voted for Jihane, A TIE. Then what would they do. I mean they obviously were running out of time, because at the end of every prime HILDA talks the leaver and the saved. THINK ABOUT IT. I agree with most of you today. I believe that Manale was forced to vote for Fady because of the time and this is why she was so sad at the end. It was not the choice from her heart but she did not have a choice, thats why. Anyways, I believe that Jihanne understood that and they will always be great friends because Jihanne knows the truth and true friends never fight!
Well, crazychic, hisham was arrested in Jeddah, I believe shortly after winning last year, his arrest wasn't publicized, due to possible GREAT negativity on Star Academy. He created a riot near Jeddah mall and refused to cooperate w/the police he was arrested for a short period of time and then bailed himself out, if not 1000% chance that LBC did.

Fady and Rim deserved to stay. I don't know if any of you noticed that when Jihan became a nominee she went to every guy crying and trying to get them to feel bad for her.
