Tonight the first prime of the popular Reality Show LBC Star Academy started, and what a great start for the 3rd year.
The students, who came from all over the Arab world, were introduced as astronauts in their uniforms and wearing their helmets. But what is strange is that the number of students is 19 !
Hilda, the presenter we have gotten used to in the past two years, is the presenter this year as well, but with one difference; this time she is a brunette, not blonde any more!
The stage this year is bigger than the past two years, which gives more space for performing and for the attractive portraits and tableau’s that give the prime a twist.
The first to sing were Shaima Hilali and Shadia Silali who started with a song with the guest for tonight; Lebanese star Najwa Karam.
The next to sing were two Saudi guys, the Egyptian & Moroccan girls. And after that the second guest; French singer Chimene Badi performed a very nice song.
A Christmas theme performance was also presented on the occasion of Christmas which is 2 days from now.
Reem al Ghazali, the Algerian student is surprisingly the sister of last year’s student Salma al Ghazali, sang with Chimene Badi her famous song entre nous.
The other students have performed their best for the first time in front of a live audience and thousands of other viewers all over the world.
But the big surprise that made the whole prime worth seeing till the end was the presence of Star Academy 1 and 2 students, who were as radiant as ever, and performed a group song all together with this year's new-comers.
All in all, the first prime was very nice, the students seem fun, and it seems we will all be hooked to the third season just as much as before.

well i think this season is a bit better than the one b4 cuz last years was kindda miserable..
i dont each and every1 exactly but i gotta say Hany from Egypt so far is the best.. i fell in love with him from the first sight, lol, not cuz i'm egyptian but the guy seems to be good.
other good ones are: walid from jordon, shaima from tunis is ok, Fadi from palestine is good, rim salama's sis has a really strong vioce, wajdi seems to be fun, shadia's voice is ok too, maya from lebanon is good too, and joseph seems to be nice i liked him , Mohamed from Kwait is really nice and rakia from egypt is ok. honestly i cant remember the other girls awy.
i have 2 important comments to make thou: what on earth did that saudi guy with all dancing did any1 tell him how funny and pathetic he looked. and with all due respect to my nation wat the hell is up with the Marwa girl, all she said was i'm pretty, god bless her, wat i pitty. others just didt click!
i just gotta add that im whole heartedly impressed with Hany, ya3ni ur number 1 and i bet u'll stay to the finals, i mean u better do.
the season looks good and i like it so far, i think it'll be better than last years, or that what i atleast hope.
i just have a favor, if any of u guys knows the frequency of the 24/24 channel on nilesat or hotbird plz tell me, pretty plz ya3ni!

hey guys, finally we can watch the 3rd season of star academy..i was really waiting for that day for some time nd i hoped it will be as good or better than ther first ones..i think that would be right, i mean all of them look nice nd fun nd almost all of them have good voices!! i liked best:Hany from Egypt,hes realyy very nice nd have gr8 hobbys.His voice is amazing.i think that wht marwa said is not good, i mean,if she thinks shes pretty she can say that to herself but not like this nd the stuff with the photos in her room.that was really over..

The first prime was great yes,but i was wondering where Rola Sa3id is,and i wish the teachers were the same but lets give the news ones a chance. It was so nice to see Katia,Salma,Bashar again .Good luck to all the contestants and well so far i like Walid,Joseph,Wajdi and Reem.lets see what these people are made off.

i would like to say that this prime was really a good one and it gave me a good impression on star academy 3. i really liked the egyptian guy hany, oh my good he`s soo cute,moreover he looks stylish and from a good family. i also liked walid from jordan and the 2 girls from lebanon maya and manal, gihan is ok, but really the best of them is HANY.
One last thing i`d like to mention, that guy from saudia, what was he doing on the stage?? was he making fun of himself?? he looked stupid and i didn`t like him at all. he was just trying to make a show but eventually he failed....i hate that kind of guys..

Hey everyone, just finished watching the first prime of the this new season and i have to say i am really disappointed. My main problem would be the fact that star academy keeps being promoted as an arab-nation show for promoting singers BUT may i ask what happened to SYRIA???????? Is that not an arab-nation?????? Why has it been left out??????? The star academy producers didn't even bother to put at least one student into the show. What is going on?????? Is this not supposed to be an open show that has nothing to do with politics????? WHY HAS SYRIA BEEN LEFT OUT????? I just want to know what's going on anymore, Star academy use to be so much fun to watch and now all of a sudden its become a political show that wants to have no association with syria, i don't think thats fair.
Besides that the show was good and i enjoyed the end when students from the past two years were broughten back, especially those of the first year. I love Cynthia and Bruno and they should just hook up already, they make a really cute couple.

Personally, I loved the prime & the contestants... well most of them anyways.
I was pretty content because I hated last year's students, HATED THEM. They were pretty annoying.. especially that Hisham kid.
Anyways, I was shocked because ALL the 19 students are first of all super rich as you can tell & VERY INTELLIGENT! It's madness. All the people I remember spoke English, French & Arabic very well. Also, the girls ! Wow. Did you see how many awards Rim Ghazali has? & How many instruments Maya can play? I was very impressed. They're all educated & they've been around the world. Also, the girls... all of them are gorgeous but I didn't really like Marwa from Egypt because of her cockyness. Other then that, they were great. I actually like them all but from what I've seen in the prime ; my favorites so far are ; Wajdi [Tunnis], Jihane [Morocco], Manale&Maya&Joseph [Lebanon], Hani [Egypt] mehh there were more I just can't think anymore.
Overall, they seem very funn & entertaining & I enjoyed their voices.
&Also, Ahmad Sherif looked amazingg, as usual. &I was so happy to see Sofia Marikh. Omg that girl's gorgeous beyond belief. &All the other star ac students.

The new students rock!I loved them all, they're charming and talented and have interesting hobbies besides playing musical instruments and singing like motorcycles, drawing, writing poetry, etc. Fadi, Hani, Eesa, Mohamed D. and Mohamed I are cool guys. The girls are wonderful too like Manal, Maya, Rakia and Shayma. I like the new teachers too, they seem perfect.
Why the hell are Sopia and Ahmed S back?! I hate them so much. I'm glad I saw Zizi, Ahmed Hussien and Samer but too bad Hesham couldn't come.

The egyptian dude is a good image to egypt at least he is trying, actually he is the only one who have potential. The girls are better than last year -- the lebanese girls are the best as always. The egyptian girls don't represent the girls in egypt, they are 2nd grade and need alot of work! Michael Jackson will keep winning because of the damn msg system just like the libyan weirdo last year, they have to change this freak'n system or the winner will be another weirdo just like last year.

well well well ... star academy 3 has kicked off then and its setting young kids and teens hearts beating again .. oh joy! ... ok even though iam not a BIG fan of star academy .. its interesting to watch and observe ppl (especially arabic) put together in one house and learn how to survive each other for a couple of months ..
the prime was ok .. wasnt anything great! ... maybe its coz starac 1 and 2 still have an effect on me ...
As for the contestants i can tell you from now who SHOULD win .. and thats shayma the tunisian girl .. yep yet again another tunisian (i aint tunisian myself)... just like baha (or bashar) and amani who really should have won starac 1 and 2 .. so really shayma should win starac 3 because she simply has the best voice ...
having said that .. i think joseph has a nice voice and definetly should be in the last 6 ... hany is ok .. and some of the other girls as well ... they are all very pretty as well .. and no fashion disasters like zizi last year (that was a complete proper mess)! .. all seem to have decent dress sense which is good so far!
BUT what the hell is up with that egyptian girl MARWA .. she annoys the hell out of me .. she has some attitude problem ... she is going to lose everyones hearts .... and she needs to lose weight .. (have you lot noticed how horrible she was to her sister about the whole photo thing in the reportage .. wtf!)
As for the micheal jackson wannabe .. he is hilarious! ... iam sorry but you dont dance micheal jackson style to arabic songs .. it just doesnt work that way! ... having said that he is actually good but he needs to calm down a bit and only dance like that to appropriate songs ... i think elissar should have a few words with him ...
and just to comment on what upset said ... hellloooo its not as if syria is the only arabic country that isnt represented here .. what about iraq .. libya ... yemen .. oman .. etc etc ... and dont even think about creeping politics into this discussion .. its bad enough as it is ...
AND LAST BUT not least ...HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMASS EVERYONE AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR ... here's to a better year filled with less disasters/crises and more happiness ... may love and peace spreads over the entire world .. especially to our much troubled area of the middle east .. even though its hard to beleive but one can always hope and wish ... take care everyone ..

I'm not defending him because he's a Saudi like me but he has a favorite artist and don't forget that little Jordanian boy a few months ago who voted for Salma after taking money from his dad's wallet, can you blame him for doing the Moonwalking dance Jacko's style?
