That's a good question and I'm glad you brought it up. For me, it means purity, decency, and modesty for men and women alike. Virginity is also an important sign for health, take for example venereal diseases and AIDS that threaten and destroy lives everywhere with the latter to be the most fatal of all. Religions have always emphasized the importance of decency to maintain healthy relationships and to keep young people from committing sins in the name of love so they wil not regret it for the rest of their lives. And being a virgin is not a shame.

hi i think that virginity is the most special and most valuable thing in a persons life and i have many friends that lost their virginity very early in their lives and believe me they really regret it but they can´t do anything about it now... for me virginity is my purity and respect not just for myself but also for the man that i will marry, and of course this goes out to all the guys to, because they don´t have the right to sleep around with girls just because no one will ever know if they are virgins or not!!!!

Virginity is something very important. It is very important for me to stay a virgin untill marriage. This is because like derek said i want to lose it with the person i care for the most, and that person will be the person i marry.

Religion also plays a big role in viginity.

virginity is really an important tihng to us, especially female as arabs, its about ppl respecting you and being pure until marraige. but i just see it as extremely unfair, cuz u can never really know if a guy has lost it and even if he does it doesnt really make a difference. but with girls it puts such a load and contraint on them. thats the only thingi hate about the issue of virginity in the arab. but i think because of this constraint on women it really helps us protect ourselves. because when you get sexually involved with some1 and then you split its very hard to forget that person. therefore when we leave it to marriage, we kno that this is the only person you'll be sexually involved with, and that is sacred.

i been know her for four years. her and her boyfriend been go out about two but i never liked him. i used to say myself he seem bad guy and he always think his popular. well they way he act he doesnt care about her that much and she believe him she think his sweet. she told me that night they did it. he actually left her without say good bye. he even moved to other city because he is going to start university and maybe new girlfriend. his a bad guy with no emotion.

it is really bothering me nowdays, you see my sexuality means alot to me, but i still do not konw its exact meaning, i have not had sex before!

I had options of having sex, even casual, one night stands but i chose not, simply because i can not do that!
I do not why, is it really me, or is it the way i was raised since i come from an arabic background!
I realized, it all boils down to MEETing the RIGHT person, but the problem i have not had found this person yet!
sometimes, the idea of me virgin, especially living in a western country where it is laughauble for a person to be virgin , although my canadian friend told , it is only meaningful when it is with the person you LoVe!
but i fear, me growing into an old bitter woman, i have grown to be ver pessimistic, do you guys know that the semens contain anti-depressants!!
i feel that i'm losing my shabab when i'm not doing the sex thing, but in the same time, i can not imagine myself being with a man i dont feel for, even if i was physically attracted to,i just can not!
