Mustafa Akkad, A Martyr in Amman

mustafa akkad

Fate is what we cannot escape, and Syrian Director Mustafa Akkad couldn’t escape his fate.
The man who has worked for years to establish a true image of the true Islam to Hollywood and the world, the man who has made one of the most important works about Islam and the Prophet Mohammad Al Risala & The Message, a genius who has worked for a holy cause all these years; to show the world the true face and identity of Islam, has died a martyr today of injuries in the terrible and horrifying blasts two days ago in Amman.
He has died in the terrorist explosions in Hyatt Amman Hotel and so did his daughter Rima … ironically; these were commited in the name of Islam!

Islam is as far as possible from such horrific acts, Islam has never promoted the killing of innocent people, whether children, women or men, And that is exactly what Akkad has been working on for years on end … For years he has been working on a new master piece; Salahddin Al Ayyoubi; a movie that was to depict a real interpretation of the current events in Palestine.
Mustafa Akkad wanted to familiarize the world with the tolerance in Islam through the character of Salahiddin in an attempt to correct the image of Arabs and Muslims after the Western media attempts to defame them and provoke civilization conflicts. The character of Salahiddin is the strongest response to the serious events, which the world currently faces.
We hope that his work will be completed in a proper way that would be honorring to such a man who could be considered a treasure and a man who we are proud to call an Arab.
May God rest his and his daughters’ soul.

PEOPLE ARE QUICK TO CONDEMN OTHER RELIGIONS.
But when it comes to criticize their own they keep quiet. i think its about time muslims stood up and criticized the psycho fanatics that are dragging what islam stands for down the drain. before long muslims around the world will be hated and targeted by everyone. allready anti islam sentiment around the world is growing by the day. come on muslim ppl of the world stand up for the religion. criticize those psycho freaks that are dragging you down. grab them beat them up and hand them to the authorities. i'm not saying that muslims or even non muslim arabs are not struggling by some countries foreign policies, all what i'm saying is those so called freedom fighters are fighting their war in a totally wrong way. its wrong to blow up hotels at home. be it in amman or sharm al sheikh or wherever else they will hit next. if you have a problem with the government then hit them and not the innocent ppl. when you plant a bomb in a hotel and kill innocent ppl IT SHOWS ME THAT YOU ARE NOTHING BUT COWARDS WHO ARE NOT MEN ENOUGH AND HAVE NO GUTS TO ACTUALLY ATTACK THE GOVERNMENTS YOU ARE OPPOSING. you pick on the weak and innocent because you are nothing but lowlifes. I CHALLENGE YOU TO HIT THE KING OR PRESIDENT ETC.... I GUARANTEE THAT YOU WONT CAUSE YOU ARE NOTHING BUT LITTLE GIRLS.

    MOI HAS SPOKEN!!!!

P.S: THIS HAS BEEN WRITTEN BY AN ANGRY ARAB. NOT A CHRISTIAN OR A MUSLIM. JUST AN ARAB WHO WANTS SAFETY WHEN HE DECIDES TO STAY IN A HOTEL. AN ARAB WHO DOES NOT WANNA WORRY ABOUT HIS LOVED ONES. I NEVER DISCLOSE WHAT RELIGION I AM BECAUSE I LOVE EVERYONE. (ALMOST EVERYONE). AND I NEVER JUDGE PPL BY WHAT RELIGION THEY ARE.

Wow, ironcly how someone who is showing hollywood the true face of islam is being bombed by islamic fanatics?

i dont get it and i dont believe this at all. it must be someone who wants to destroy the muslims and the arabs that is behind this.

Why blame alqaida? because the us says so? well how many times hasenīt the us lied to the world and planted fake evidence before?

Ok, like they actually knew that this guy was at the hotel! Come on guys, think! They were targeting all the jews that go to that hotel. They dont have a problem with the jordan government, they have a problem with the jews. It is very sad that this guy died, it is....didn't he write some books too?

    Adam
  1. my words | November 11, 2005 9:32 PM

well adam, the israelis know more then u think, they know who each and everyone who stayed at that hotel at that time is, not personly but they know there national background. If the target was the jews, then why would they set off a bomb at an arabic wedding? how many arabs invite jews to there wedding? come on...

And how come no israelis died?
One israeli died but he was not jewish, he was a palestinian (arab48) from nasareth.

This whole thing is sick and i hope who ever did it get caught and murdered but i dont think it was al qaida this time.

itīs not hard for israel to make an attack like this, at itīs not hard for them to plant evidence on others such as al qaida.

Israel has mokhabarat everywhere especially in hotels like the grand hyatt and radisson sas.

If they wanted they could make sure no jew was there at the time just by looking at the quest list and seeing who was an israeli and who is not.
That is very simple to do for a state as israel.

The israelis has the most power from all the countries.

    my words
  1. Adam | November 11, 2005 10:11 PM

Im going to agree with you that isreal has the most power like that in the world.

I am going to point out that the place was a hotel, and the jews really didn't have to attend to the wedding to get into the hotel, so they still could have been targeted.

you sound like you know what your talking about, your also well informed about stuff like this, im impressed.

  1. silvana | November 11, 2005 10:40 PM

May god rest his soul, and everyone else that has perished in these horrible events.
MOI is correct though, arabs should stand united in codemning those attacks, instead of trying as always shifting the blame onto someone else.Anyone is cabable of such acts,so called religion has nothing to do with it.
I agree religion should never define you as a person. However there a select few that I can admit to liking and respecting.

    silvana
  1. my words | November 11, 2005 10:51 PM

yes well what i meant was that anyone even someone who is blowing himself up sees that a wedding is going on and if the target really was the jews then they would have bombed the hotel in some other place of it, and not the place where the wedding was taken place, they must have heard the arabic zaffe and seen all the arabs. And jews dont have weddings in arabic hotels. So what i meant was that if the target really was the jews, then the bomber would have bombed him self in a room/diner/lobby where he knew that there would or at least could be jews but an arabic wedding is not the right place to kill jews in cuz there arenīt any jews there...

this whole attack which didnt kill a single jew is a set up to kill palestinians and jordanian civilians and at the same time blame it on moslims so it will lead to hate against islam in europe and hate against arabs within the arabs. They are hoping that this will lead to that arabs starts to feel with israel bcuz israel are targetet for these kind of attacks. and no one really cared or did anything about it when hamas used to bomb israelis and thats why all these terror attacks are happening cuz israel wants the world to share there pain which they hope will lead to that they will have the arabs on there side.

This is what i and everyone i know thinks.

Maybe al qa3ida is behind some terror attacks, but definatly not all, israel and bush and probably blair to are making there one terror attacks against arabs to annoy alqa3ida and to show them that: "hey we are also killing ur people like u r killing ours and we are blaming it on u"

This is something that any intilligent person should see instead of beeing blinded by the western media theories.

my words: Well job once again, im impressed even more. I truly didn't reasearch the bombing throughly, and i akalata because of it. Well done. Like for example, i didn't know the location in the hotel of the bombing. I agree with every single thing you just said, and mostly with the bush, blair thing. Does anyone remember the burnings of the bodies in afghanistan? Yea, well i bet there were way more then that before.

  1. dandooneh | November 12, 2005 6:30 PM

Alla yir7amo,how ironic very true, sad sad.
this has nothing to do with Israel this is al qa3ida they took responsibility,we all know what al qa3ida has been doing for years, they saw a wedding and saw lots of people and knew this would get media attention however the reason behind the attack is because the hotels recieve american, british and israeli people although that was a very stupid point to attack innocent civilians who are dead now because a couple of coward jerks decided to put a message through (the message is B.S!)
God rest in peace to all those who died
my family went to the funeral of one of the girls who died in the wedding and they said it was very very sad,i dont know how these people who r criminals can sleep at night, doesnt their concious eat them everyday?doesnt their concious ever come awake?
God bless Jordan god bless this beautiful country and everyone in it and god bless all arabs and middle east!
    Fight the terrorism

This is horrible. Akkad was and will remain a great director who showed the West a fair image on Islam and Arabs, it wasn't a surprise when I checked other web forums where Europeans, Americans, and other nationalities condemned these brutal attacks that claimed the lives of late dierctor and his daughter Reema as well as other innocent victims. May his soul rest in peace.

well the guy did bomb himself in the lobby, thats where the zaffeh was!!! so i agree with all the stuff u said but not that!!!!

    angel,

i heard that the explosion was inside the wedding hall and not in the lobby so sorry about that misstake.
yet i stil find it strange cuz if it was in the lobby im sure this person/persons who did this saw all these arabs and the zaffe and could not have confused them with jews.

TO DANA WHO IS ADAM FROM THE STUPID,WORTHLESS AND MEAN WRITER TOPIC.
It is one thing to put your point across without insulting your country,i do not think any country would be proud of you.
The joke you told was told by lebanese, because we know how to laugh at ourselves and we are also proud, we do not need to put others down to feel better.I have a joke about why Michael likes Bahrain, but i do not feel the need to insult them.
    Shame on you.
LEBANON IS THE BEST,AND IT IS FOR ALL LEBANESE.

    lebanese proud
  1. Adam | November 13, 2005 2:44 PM

WOW, wtf is wrong with you! I am not Dana lebanese proud, I will never talk ill of lebanon, it is where i was raised and i will never betray that country. You need to get your facts straight before you go and talk random accusations.

    Adam
  1. Dana | November 13, 2005 4:18 PM

to lebanese proud I AM DANA, and im not adam, u can ask waleg if u dont believe me.
and no that joke was NOT made by an lebanese do u know why? because one of my classmates who is FRENCH made that up and i swear to god that this is true. And yeah lebanon is for all. i never said it isenīt. what i said is that roy of lebanon should stop talking as if christian lebanese arenīt arabs cuz they are and i didnt say anything that is wrong about my country so instead of accusing people and embaressing urselve u should face the truth instead.

Lebanon is arabic. Lebanese are arabic.
and if u dont like that then itīs ur problkem but u cant change ur roots.

    Dana
  1. dana | November 13, 2005 4:23 PM

and there is an american webpage that has publiged many of his lebanon jokes so i have proof for this, this joke is not made by lebanese.

why would i lie about that? i know what i am talking about, i can even give you his number and u can speak with him in french to see that i am right about this.

    dana
  1. lebanese proud | November 13, 2005 9:38 PM

    WELL ADAM
I am sorry then. However Dana, that does not erase the fact that the way you spoke was uncalled for.THERE are all kinds of jokes about every bloody country on the face of the earth, that does not make these countries any worse off than others.

    lebanese proud
  1. Dana | November 13, 2005 11:17 PM

i know that. what i meant was that lebanon is not the best in the world like many lebanese keep on telling everyone. i mean, we have lebanese who keep telling people that we are the best and no one is like us and so on. thatīs not good cuz first of all we arenīt the best, NO ONE IS. and when people keep hearing that lebanon and lebanese is the best and then find out that we actually arenīt they start to see us as a joke and thatīs not good for lebanon. When people like roy keep acting as if god created us ThE BEST, heīs making all the lebanese look bad cuz people dont see the diffirence between an ignorant person and a "normal" person, all they see is that this is another lebanese who thinks heīs better then the rest.
and im very proud to be lebanese but i dont think we are better then anyone.
and with the joke i wanted you to understand , or make roy understand that people do not see us as the best as he seems to think. Thatīs all.

    Dana
  1. lebanese proud | November 14, 2005 12:48 AM

    Dana
I am glad you feel that way.I agree Lebanon as a country has its faults, however you can not help preferring your country to all other no matter what.I did think the joke is funny,I have heard worse.

    lebanese proud
  1. Adam | November 14, 2005 12:04 PM

ugh...don't get me started on roy...man when i go back to lebanon in the summer im going to bust him in his eye, lol. I prefer Lebanon over any country that i have been to because it is just simply gorgeous. The scenery is great...the mountains, the rivers.... the sky at night.....

The west bestows upon its famous directors awards such as the oscars, however arabs helps eradicates them, like we have enough of them.A million zarqawis do not equal one Akkad. So commiserations to all who support such acts. You are achieving nothing.

  1. Aris | November 19, 2005 2:10 AM

These people are sick cowards. And it sickens me how many innocent people they have killed up to this point. Innocent Arab women and children and men dying for what cause? How is that getting even with the US or Isreal? This is a disgrace and it is about time Arabs stand up to these atrocities.

And by the way why does it have to take a famous man dying for evryone to be upset. Many innocent brothers have been killed in Egypt and Iraq in the name of Allah. Wake up my friends, these people are not our brothers. They simply use our frustrations and religion to blind us to there cause. The US wants to leave Iraq but they can't until the violence stops. So how is terrorism helping anyone in Iraq? It's not. I do not want the US in the Middle East but I am tired of seeing innocent Arabs die and watching Al Quaida take credit like they are doing something good. Terrorism has brought infidels to the Arabs and terrorism is the enemy of ALL religions and nations.
