This time it is said that she will be acting along side Billy Zane, in a movie about a singer who owns a Cabaret.

heyz, haifa is great. she is the one that should represent the arab world in america as she is beautiful and a great performer. i dought that this is true though but sumink like this should happen and soon. 0_o we need sum1 who wont embaress the arab world and that would make us look good umongst the americans 2 star in sumink like this, so haifa is a goog choice. we need more people like omar el sherif.

Here too in Australia ,my aussie friends thought she was gorgeous(gets the temperature up high).However the english part is not the problem,the acting part is,can she act(we will have to wait and see)

lol, ye elissa at da world music awards was embaressing man, da bit were she did da speech. all she sed was thanks, thanks o n thaks god n thaks n thanks you. she could have memorised a speech as she knew she would be making one, dat was pathetic man. i felt sorry for myself. i hope haifa doesnt do the same, which i suspect she will. at least we know she will look stunning as always. i have beva heard haifa speeak english, i dont fnk it will be all dat.
I did not find Elissa's speech.I have heard Penelope Cruz,Celine Dion and Selma Hayek speak,Mexicans Spanish and Canadians are not ashamed of the way they speak.On the contrary,they are proud of their achievements.no offense people,you made me laugh.YES people in hollywood have the highest opinion of arabs.her speech was not any worse than many of hollywood veterans.what is a boater?I know it means someone who uses a boat or a straw hat.How does it apply to Haifa?
I for one could care less at how people in hollywood think. They are a bunch of dumbasses taht are rich and dont know there there heads from there asses. Haifa is just hot, thats it. I would be very suprised if she had a brain.
ok, so im sorry if i spelt a couple words wrong but y does my spelling matter on dis site, who cares man. neway i fort about wot i wrote n thought 2 my self y is it when a non english speaker tries 2 speak english n dey cant we find it funny and embarressing but when a non arabic tries 2 speak arabic n dey chat weird we find it cute n are all like aw sweet. y is every1 expected 2 beable 2 chat proper english even if it isnt there first language.... i still do think that elissa should have prepared a propa speech like most celebs wen dey win a prize. even though english is a well used laguage it dont mean that every1 must know how 2 speak it fluently. so who cares if haifa cant chat properly, dey must chose her coz she was arabic n not american so de americans should expect that she might not beable to chat proper english.americans have a bad idea about arabs neway coz of da terrorism n dat so i hope the film wont make it worse.neway dis is probably aint even true.

Ok first off Haifa is pretty but that doesnt mean she's gonna make us look better, to be honest her performance with Shaggy made us look like cheap hookers. Honestly, the woman has no class whatsoever...big deal if she gets a tiny part in a movie..wopdeeeedoooo...LOL actually i thought the syrian actor in Kingdom of Heaven and that egyptian actor made us arabs look good..not some trashy plastic surgry obsessed woman. Hey, I happen to think ELISSA'S speech that night was pretty good. SHE'S LEBANESE FOR GODSAKES, born and bred there. You can't expect for her to have had the benefits of international schooling, i.e. THE YANK ACCENT or weird foreign drawl, and I think she was great. It's not about the ACCENT, it's about the GRAMMAR, and she didn't make a mockery of the language by screwin up her tenses and what not. Forget about mesmerizing Hollywood with bombastic vocabulary, SHE SINGS IN ARABIC for goodness' sake. I think as audiences and listeners we put far too much pressure on the celebs. Not only do they have to SING WELL, LOOK GOOD, now they have to SPEAK ENGLISH with at least 500,000 word-count vocab? It's askin for too much.
Hey ppl i know there's a lot of comments on this subject but i just wanna sy my opinion.
First of all, ofcourse haifa deserves to be in a hollywood movie bcoz she has it all from he looks to the brains and the personality and non of the other hollywood actresses r better than her. and besides she's lebanese! so that makes her even better;) and about her english language remember guys that she wasnt schooled properly when she was young, but she did manage to learn english and french on her own! so ii think thats a big accomplishmentsince she had the ability and the will to develop her skills.
As for elissa, i did see her speech nd i didnt mind her language that much! after all American dont even know a single word in arabicus lebanese however dom know arabic english and french! so howcome do we let them judge us when we are obviously better than the in that field! and congratulations to elissa coz she deserved that award! and i know that hayfa will represent lebanon the best, coz its the best country ever and whatever happens it will remain the best!!!
i dont get why ppl are making a big deal ova this firstly i dont think its true and secondly if it is true she ain gonna exactly become famious from it most ppl around the world wont even notic who che is or even care. and plus she wont exactly see here as libanise singer they would jus see her as an arabic singer/ actress as to most westeners an arab is an arab they really dont distinguish between the differen countries and dont know the diffirun cultures between them.

I think Haifa is beautiful, however that does not mean she is good at what she does. In my opinion she is a huge disappointment to the lebanese world. She has no voice and no acting ability what so ever. Americans may be as fake as Haifa but at least they can preform. Haifa memorizes what she has to do and does it. They feed her lines and actions. I would love to see a real actress get a part in hollywood and make us proud. No Haifa with her little moves which will put us in shame. America has enough TRASH I dont think we need to dump ours on them.

It's a shame we are all raggin on this girl so much. If a Lebanese woman has the ability to get into a Hollywood role... well I'm proud of it. Let the Americans and Western world see what Arab women look like -- instead of the nasty pics of women wearing the abaya and all covered. So all I can say is I'm proud of Hayfa and support her full heartedly. She is showing the world a side of Arab culture they never knew about. After all how many people in the US know how beautiful Lebanon is. All they know is what they saw on "Delta Force", and all those terrorist movies. They don't know how beatuiful our downtown is... the beatiful mountains, the Bekaa... So when they ask, who is that beautifl girl... I'll just say she's a typical Lebanese beauty !
