A few months ago, Spain became the fourth country in the world to officially allow same sex couples to get married. The Spanish parliament has legalized gay marriage despite all protests issued by the Roman Catholic Church.
The other three countries that approved marriages for the same-sex couples are Canada, Netherlands and Belgium.
Gay people in these countries can legally marry, and also allowed to adopt children and to benefit the same rights like any other marriage!
Do you think we will see an Arab country legalizing gay marriages in the future despite our Arab conservative nature? What do you think of this matter?

It will be a while. Right now we don't even recognize the fact that gay people exist in the arab world. We are still in denial that they exist, so naturally we will not be giving them rights! I can't see the gay issue moving forward in the arab world.... maybe a thousand years from now.... and that is a good thing because I will not see that day ;)

I read some article about a gay weeding in egypt between two guys from kowait. The problem with us arabic that we are hypocrit. Prostitution exist in our arabic country gay marriage exist but we try to close our eyes and deny everything. Honestly I prefer to see everything in front of me than bieliving that nothing exist just to satisfy my self. And there is many other problems and issues more important than gay marriage in our arabic world. Like some guy said why people they are against gai marriage if they get married they will hate each other and get divorce let them be married than who cares.
When cats and dogs will be allowed to get married in the western countries maybe Arabs will recognize that Gaay people exist in their countries...as far as marriage I don't think it will happen in the near future...

Besides,Gay culture has been in our literature for the longest time, but we always try to ignore the fact. Abu Nuwas one of the great Arab Poets was gay, just check out his poems(ofcourse not the ones they teach us in schools)

I haven't, in all my days, seen a sensible reasoning about theese kind of topics from a muslim. All i hear is that it's "haram". Such exclusion of liabilities seems pathetic to me. I don't have more respect for theese documents just because its written plenty years ago.. hopefully in the future theese stories will just be considered to be some funny childrens books... If someone wrote theese kind of stories in our time he would be laughed at and be stigmatized as a crazy person.
If gays and lisbains and any sort of relationships that exsist between people. As I have read there is sexual relationship between men and animals & women and animals. Then the marriage procedures and rules are better not made at all. Because we took these rules from the Quran, and west took it from the Bible. So, why any one get married in a Mosqu or a Church, just get married between your selfs and your family if u want. Don't say u believe in the holly book being right.
