i dont understand why would they nominate her song, it sucks big time, the melodie is disastrous, i dont think any real musician would actualy aprove of it, they were NOT that creative in mixing arabic and the west melodies, it made it rather hhmm lets say, chaotic melodrama, if thats the purpose of the song, then i would understand. i would say ouri mar8adi is the best arabic singer in mixing arabic and western music all together.

and seeing arabs dressing like cowboys is really embaressing probably if they incorporated other folklores, like part american cowboy, then indian, chinese, african, european, it would have made more sense that the maghna has no boundaries, but just making it cowboy style it lost its credibility, it feels more like they wana be americans so bad...

waleg, how come u did not say anything about majid il muhandis wining the best mu6rib 3arabi award. he is alrighty, but not that much tuned in his music...

I think that Fulla the singer of "ahl il maghna" deserves 100 percent to be the winner for 2005, cause she made a song that none of the other singers thought of doing it and even cant do it...

Her voice is great in that song, and I think that she has one of the best voices in the middle east... Good Luck for you Fulla

i think the idea of the song is good, but the sings very bad.. and i really don't like the clip.. what about nancy ajram, enta eih - it had alot of succes, and still gets it.. fulla, what kind of singer is she, anyway??!!

dina, i think the whole cowboy country kind of music was included in for a purpose,,,,fulla was pretty much making fun of the new generation's music and their voice,,,so she used the western country music cuz it sounds funny. im sure it has more meaning to it. as for fulla she has if not the best but one of the best voices in oriental music.
but i have to say she doesnt know how to talk infront of the camera.

i do think that fulla has great voice, i did not say she has a bad voice, bil 3aks, her voice is awesome. i'm just not too tuned into her song, nor into nancy's song.

Fella has one of the unique voices..she plays with her voice and controlls it...She sang the song Ahl Al Maghna for a reason..the cowboy thing was to make fun as well of all theses new "Singers" that have no talents and uses their body to get business...For Fella coming and growing up in a Big known familly "The Ababssa" in Algeria...all of them are singers starting from her Father, mother, her Sister Naima"Very known in Algeria" her brother Najib...etc Theses people value music and they all have a great vocals....
I agree that Fella needs a lot of improvement how to behave in front of the Cameras...she needs to work on her Arabic and needs to be more classy and come down a bit...A voice like hers..is almost at the same level as Oum Kalthoum, Fairuz and Warda...she needs to work on her appearance and Lyrics...
Congratulations Fella, well deserved title...wish you many awards to come and make us all proud of you...

I rememember a duet she made on french TV with khaled on the magic song "les ailes" (the wings). Nobody can say she dont deserve this prize.
