More Women Marrying Younger Men
Old barriers are being broken down all around us. Interracial marriages, single parenthood by choice, open committed gay/lesbian relationships represent examples of alternative life options that, unthinkable few years ago, today are becoming part of the mainstream. Nevertheless, all of them were met with resistance, and no acceptance. However the resistance is less today since numbers of people feel empowered to live their life in accordance to their own needs, beliefs, and values.
The people are for the most part, sane, intelligent, responsible and productive member of society; many of them happen to be older women.
Increasing numbers of women are choosing to marry younger men. According to BBC news: "The number of women marrying younger men has soared in 25 years, according to the office of national statistics 1998:
Total women marrying younger men:26%
Women marrying men more than six years younger:7%
Women who have been married before marrying a man more than six years younger:15%
More than six years younger:15%

Older women/younger men relationships are far more prevalent and far more successful than society would have us believe. Our social order reinforces often the message that theses relationships are a bad thing or only temporary thing.
Also they make it okay when a men in his fifties and sixties marry women in their twenties. However, in those rare cases which the women is older than a men such a marriage ends badly, sadly or tragically.

Well I guess it's fashion...not only celebrities ..it's common now. I know an arabic woman 30 years old in love with a none arabic guy 22 years old....I personnaly cannot do it..women are mature faster than guys and I need to feel that I'm with a man as whole...
When a this young man will grow older do you think he will stay with his wife? unless she wears the pant and micromanage him...

Well, I am older than my husband by 1 and 1/2 years. I think 10 or 15 years is okay. My ex-husband was 13 years older than me. But to the extreme of Demi and Ashton....though she is still hot at her age.....I feel this one is too much!!!

Initially I didn't think that age matters in a relationship. If they love each other, then that's it. End of discussion. But having been able to observe couples where the women are older, I've changed my mind about this issue. There are benefits if the woman is older than the man. Her natural maternal instincts (okay...) emerge when she's faced with dealing with a guy younger than her. And don't tell me the guy doesn't like the attention.

I am madly in love with a guy that is 11 years younger than I am. He's 37 and I'm 48. He is very samrt and adorable. I would rather be with him than with anyone else in the world. I feel we are made for each other and I think he feels the same way. We have both been married before. He's the only person I have ever considered marrying since my divorce. I love gom with all my heart, but is the age difference just too much to overcome?

I personally think that a few years older isn't bad but when it's 10 years or more . That's ridiculous. People can say that age doesn't matter but it does because there is a major in experiences. In some cases, she will become the mom instead of your lover.It's only natural. Men are drawn towards the nurturing appeal but it will get old. The man will always look for someone else to be his equal in every way .

men age a lot quicker than women, women live 5 years longer in most developed countries, we have a later physical peak than men. Men lose collagen in their skin at an earlier age than women making them look older than women do at a younger age. There are certain types of dementia that happens to men at a younger age. Come on girls who wants an older man???
The only reason why men tend to marry younger women on average is due to tradition and tradition never favours women.
I personally would rather have a relationship with a woman than go out with an older man, because I am 42 years old and men look awful in their forties but women look wonderful you only have to think of "despriate housewives" and how great they look. I think men of that age don't look so good. All my female friends who are about the forty mark say that they would rather not have anyone than take some old ugly man. I only date younger guys because I think that is how it should be. In sheakesperes day it was more common for a man to marry an older woman, his wife Ann Hatherway was 8 years older.
I think we are living in an ageist society which puts more on the way a woman looks than on the way a man looks,and men forget how old they are and are always looking at younger women but they are stupid because beauty has no age. The Actress Francis Annis who was dating a man 19 years younger than herself and he still looked older than her. So us girls are playing men's games and taking younger men and so hopefully men will realise how awful they are taking younger women, and I think the only reason why men tend to take younger women is because they think they can dominate them.

Anything but Cameron DIAZ!!! Justin Timberlake's Mother said that she wouldn't attend their wedding!!! They were gonna get married in december 2004 but Justin's Mother refused to attend their marriage. I'm not happy at all with this cameron+justin situation.He's 24 years old and Cameron is 34 years old. 10 years age diffrence. I don't think JUstin likes Cameron diaz. There's a secret that nobody knows about their relationship and I'll hear it soon.Justin and Cameron fight alot,u have no idea.
