Amani in Gibran and the Prophet

Amani, the Star Academy's student is going to finish preparation in Beirut during July for the theatrical play ‘Gibran Wel Nabi - Gibran and the Prophet -’ , in which she will be starring. The play will be presented during Byblos International Festival 2005, as of August 17th until 21st. The play is written by outstanding artist Mansour Rahbani, the music composed by Oussama Rahbani and directed by Marwan Rahbani, with the participation of more than 80 Lebanese artists. Amani will sing with the famous and great artist Ghassan Saliba, Carol El Hajj, Budour Gibran, Yousef Al Khal, Paul Suleiman and some other artists...

The musical play ‘Gibran and the Prophet’ is inspired from Gibran's masterpiece and it tells the story of the author writing his book. It is a duality where Gibran and the Prophet are the same person, where Mary Haskel is no one but the priestess Al Mitra and Orphelis turns out to be New York city drawn by Gibran longing for his oriental identity

I am so happy that one of the Star Academy's students was chosen by people that made the Music History in Lebanon.

People like the Rahbanis made music history indeed, and are not afraid to involve other Arabs in their great works, like Latifa and Amani from Tunisia and various actors from Syria and Egypt (like in their play "Abu Tayeb el Motanabbi"). I can't wait until they invite great people like Kazem El Saher and others to take part in their great works.
Congrats Amani, you are the real star.
