No Democracy in the United States

As an American, I am ashamed of my government and it's policies. We talk about human rights and freeing the Iraqis (Who NEVER asked for any "freedom") yet we do NOTHING to ease the pain of the Palestinians. I don't get why BUSH is so damn afraid to step on Sharone's toes. I voted for Kerri and was so disappointed that he lost to that idiot. But the good news is he can't run again. This will be the end of his reign of terror. It said alot about Bush's policies when his top guy, Colin Powell, jumped ship. Without uttering a word Powell made a very clear statement. I wish Powell would run for office, but if he doesn't, I vote we put Hillary Clinton in the office.

Another thing...we (Americans) talk about democracy...but we don't really have it, they ruled today that the gov't can bulldoze your home if they feel it is better economically for the town to have a shopping center on your land!!!! What the heck is that? Also, when we vote, everyone's individual votes don't really matter...the electoral college ultimately decides the outcome of the race. Our "elections" are nothing more than "polls". BIG GOVERNMENT....they are all around us choking us and we don't have a clue.

I just want to add also that my comments are not at all intended to insult the American Troops, those boys may have chose to join the military (as they will receive college money, benefits etc), but the down side to joining up is that if the country goes to war, no matter how unjust, you HAVE to go or you will be ARRESTED!!! So I don't blame the soldiers who are out their fighting, they don't have a choice. The majority of them are under 21 and a huge number of them will never come home. God Bless the boys who, unfortunately are dying for nothing but OIL!!!!

Its in the US constitution : GUNS = FREEDOM

"...being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." US Constitution, Amendment Article II

That's the US democracy, and Diane you'r not alone check this http://www.sorryeverybody.com/gallery/1/

I love that site, thanks for showing it to me. I just wish/hope that those in the Arab and Islamic world know that WE ARE SORRY! The 51% that voted for Bush are ignorant red necks who not only spread hatred throughout the world but also hate the minorities of their own country.

Yea i agree with you diane, never ever would i have voted for bush if i could vote but im not 18. And if we ever had a draft, women would now be drafted since women are "equal" to men. If i was drafted i would leave the country even though i was born and raised here and move to Egypt where i have a dual citezenship especially if we were in another war agianst iraq, Palestine or any arab/ muslim country. George Bush is a dumb redneck who is arrogant, ignorant and just simply stupid. But i do hope our troops are safe i just wish that innocent iraqi's didnt have to be killed mercilessly. Since we are quote "liberating" them . Iraq did not ask to be liberated Bush is just a tyrant himself who is greedy and wants even more wealth for the worlds most powerful nation. All this said, I do love America because of its many freedoms we have but our government policies suck!

Iam not from the USA but i still agree with you. I mean Bush talk like the USA the best place on earth 2 live on. With human Rights /money /Food /Homes for EVERYONE. that's not trueee. Just take a look @ the rappers like 50 cent , 2 pac , and allllll those people. are from the ghetto's with no MONEY , no life , no food ,no fathers raped mothers. I dunno if someone check Discovery Channel and watch Trauma. It's like a attraction there killing one each other :S. WHERE ARe the human rights than in gods sake?.
Look what they have done 2 Iraq ANd palestina idd. the yhave made it 1 big chaos. IS Bush the "greatist"? can't stops everything in 1 word. just tell Israel 2 stop and live the palestinians 2 live and not 2 suffer for 50 years now. and go out iraq. let them search for freedom by them selfs. there is no need of help. this s a long discution. we will never get answers for all our questions. and never will happen what we all wanna 2 happen.

    Fahad:

You make valid points....but regarding people like 2Pac and Biggie Smalls....yeah they had rough youths living in inner cities and projects. But with their talents they were able to earn a better life for themselves. Unfortunately, you can take them out of the ghetto but you can't take the ghetto out of them. With all the money they made their "east coast/west coast rival" was stupid. They should have taken their money and left gang banging behind...that was their choice and too bad, 2Pac had a lot of talent.

But people killing each other here everyday is all about the American Dream, the pursuit of financial gain. A drug dealer comes into your territory you kill him so he doesn't take your business. Ah the beauty of capitalism!!! But that is not how most of us Americans live. We do have it better than probably any other country in the world. Your life here is what you make of it. It's just the damn foreign Bush policies that are archaic and demeaning to the rest of the world. Clinton may have been an adulterer but our world was a much better place under his presidency.

Sihem, you should run for president. You are smart and educated. You need to work on your english and your spelling a bit. But that is all you need to be the next president ;)

Sihem, MOI once said in his post that you look just like Condoleza Rice... Is that true?

Diane, I agree clinton was a great president and he statisfied the american people as much as he satisfied his women. I mean he would go the extra mile to satisfy his people. If he did not have the right tools or his tools did not work, he would improvise and come up with an alternative. Look how he used a cigar instead of his ****, now that is creativity and dedication....
