Released June 7, Fijacion has racked up sales of more than 157,000 copies in its first week of release, and will enter the Latin Album chart at No. 1. The single, La tortura, a duet with Spanish star Alejandro Sanz, is already topping the Latin airplay charts, and the video broke new ground by becoming the first Spanish language video to be put into regular rotation on MTV and VH-1.

However, the next time you are criticizing her, keep in mind that she is a human like you. Also, try to name another female, with as much power as Shakira, that cares for humanity, and actually does something about it. (A good example is her Pies Descalzos charity program)
I love bellydancing...Shakira has some nice hip isolations that I saw on her videos. I saw a TV commercial for bellydancing DVD's for a famous bellydancer named Soraya, an beautiful Arab girl from the US and I ordered them. I am so into the dance now. I am inspired to learn more about this dance, my culture is Arab.
