These days, tipping is expected in most restaurants in the world unless you really did have bad service or bad food then no tip should be given.
Is it appreciated to leave a tip for the waiter that served you in a restaurant? Or you think you shouldn't pay a cent more than you have to and a tip is not necessary!

I think some waiters deserves a tip for excellent service as you know some of those depend so much in this tip some of them have some obligations to meet thus it is recomeded to tip them
I think people should tip in restaurants whether serving there is good or bad but of course it differs in the amount of tipping between good or bad serving and i think tipping reflects the personality of a person towards others.
pffff........lucky u have a choice!........in Boston u have to tip them no matter what!.......its 15% off of what u paid for ur meal. but again its always nice to give money
u have to tip 15% they gave you ur food u ate the food.they dont have to serve u.and it depends how they serve u.
if they spill something on u and dont do anything about it then dont tip but if they help u tip!
here in ohio u have to tip them 15% no matter what..its always nice tipping waiters cause they work hard however if they dont desreve it i wouldnt give them nothin....but usually i give tips..

IN PALESTINE WE HAVE GOOD FOOD AND GOOD RESTAURANTS TOO SO WE GIVE A GOOD TIP ALSO .. BUT MOST OF THE TIP GOES TO A GIRL WAITER .
I allways tip. whether the service was good or not it doesnt matter.
I think tipping is very good habit to please others but unfortunately this mifgt cause other people who don't tip some problems so they dont serve them well
I like to give tips to waiters because they deserve to get something in return for their work. Tipping has become a habit for me,even when I travel.
Here is LA we tip a minimum of 15%...I always tip wether it's good or not, I feel bad for the waiters because they are paid only a minimum wage so they live off the tips basically. If the service is very good I tip beyond the 15%...
i work in a resturant and not only is tipping appreciated but its needed by your server. The average server only gets paid about 2 bucks an hour, and most of their paycheck gets taken out in taxes (my last pay check was for 0 dollars!) Plus, at the end of the night servers have to tip out a portion of their tips which then go to the service bars, the bussers, and the hostess. And remember, if the food is bad, its not the servers fault, they didn't cook it, they just brought it to you. Don't not tip them because the cook sucks. So remember next time you eat out, not only are you paying the server for their servinces but you are paying a good portion of the resturants crew for their hard work too!
