being a muslim means that you submit with your own will and from all your heart to the one and only God, Allah. and by that you obey all His rules, and His prophets, s.A.a.s., teachings with no contradictions or disagreement towards them. Being a muslim is also to be proud of being one, not when u go btw christians ur shy or embarrased to explain about ur faith. being a muslim u help ur brothers/sisters in Islam and u guide them to the straight path whenever u see them doing smthng wrong.
by that it also means that Islam has its limits on TV shows, music, politics and everything in life, therefore it is a way of life... so that is why people mention their Islam when they discuss.
i agree with u both but i think when we say that we are atleast proud of wat we r.we belive in 1 god (Allah)and just be a good person
We use the word "Muslim" because some behaviors are either forbidden or immoral to a muslim women or men....As Alcohol,showing private parts, watching pornography...etc, some other subject for instance listening to Amr Khaled is limited to muslim people, with an exception to each rule.
There are some cultural behavior that both Christian and Muslim Arabs practice....

I am a Christian Arab but i still feel a little left out when most Arabs refer to the Arabic people as Muslim,because as you know although Christians constitute a small percentage of the Arab world but they still exist,this is not me opposing my opinion on you but i would just like to share it.

How dare yu say Catholicism is the right religion and Islam is wrong. Who are u to say on to a website that is predominantly("mostly" if u dont understand wha that word is with your ignorant mind) Arab Muslims saying that Catholicism is the right religion? No disrespect to Christians b.c i have Christian friends but, If you read the Quran which actually is the only holy book that has never been changed and never will get changed to accomadate its worshippers, then you would know the right religion. You know what? You can think your religion is the right one. No one is stopping you. But to say that Islam is not the true religion is something that you should keep to yourself. You have offended and engraged many people, including myself. I have so many Muslim,Christian,Catholic and even Jewish and Jehovah Witness friends. We don't let religion come between us. We follow our beliefs but don't bash each other cuz of them. i don't care what religion a person is.

well, I think that no matter what religion you are in or chose to be you should respect that. There is no one right religion, because were are not the same, we each have our difference and our own thought. Religion matters becasue it's a part of how you are. It gives you limits on life. It helps you understand what is right from wrong. Iam muslim and i respect my religion very mcuh and other religons too becasue i have many freinds that have different backgrounds. THey respect me for who i am and i respect them for who they are.

Sandra, I feel really bad for the abuse you have received . This is obviously a really sensitive subject and it is very taboo for an Arab Christian to stand up and uphold their belief that Christianity is the true religion-as we can see from the reactions. Many of the replies have included statements that Islam is the correct religion and yet no one has criticised this. I just thought that was an interesting observation.........
