There are only a couple of Saudi female singers that we sometimes actually forget! One of these few singers is Waad; she is charismatic, beautiful and has a great voice.
We have seen her over the TV in many Arabic music channels, and now she has a new song out: “Ala Meen”, which is very nice, and has a very good tune to it. The Video clip is also pleasant, with the color white as a theme.
Waad is a simple woman; she lives in Lebanon, likes sports and shopping with her daughter.

Is Waad a white Arab (Samra') or Black Arab? Not that it makes any difference, just curious. I've also noticed that most Saudi football players are real black; what is their origin?
hi, i dont know much about waad's songs. but i saw her in the prime of star academy and thought that she was great. her voice is really nice, her songs are cool, and she seems like a lot of fun.

About the white/black thing...as you all know historically many black slaves (from Africa like Ethiopia and Sudan) were brought to the Arabian Peninsula and the Levant, even during the Prophet's time. And since their women are beautiful (just look at the beautiful Sudani women), there was a lot of mixing and marriage. On the Jordanian football team there was a black guy, and the only Palestinian in the Olympics for 2004 was a black girl, because their bodies are muscular and good for sports. So Waad could be of a mixed descent, but in truth, all the people who call themselves Arabs are mixes of some kind (mixed with Arab, Turkish, African, Berber, Persian, Kurdish, Roman, Greek, etc) so it doesn't really matter. Arabs are the most beautiful people in the universe no matter what our blood background is.

I find Waad a very talented and respectful lady. Although she is a female singer from Saudi Arabia, I do not find anything wrong with it. She has her own freedom in a very conservative way. She sings and performs with all respect. Unlike other female singers.

I think it's great Waad is pursuing her dreams and there is nothing wrong with that but I personally don't like her voice. No offence to her but I don't like her songs. I mean anyone can sing these days, I can even sing if I wanted to, it's very easy. I prefer to watch Haifa Wehbe, she is enjoyable to watch and you don't get bored. What do you think of Darin Hadshiti? I mean,I can sing better than her. Her clip for her song addam elkel is disgraceful because it shows her throwing her school bag and jumping into a guys car. What sort of message is that sending to the school girls out there.

I think what waad is doing is great .. her voice is really nice and I like her songs and she has gained full respect form people ... i think there should be more saudi female singers to be honest .... i dont think she insulted zizi .. i mean come on that long hair of hers was getting a bit too much ... she was actually advising her!! whats wrong with that!! ...
