150 000 PPL DIED IN THE LEBANESE CIVIL WAR . SO I GUESS FUTURE TV SHOULD CONTINUE WHAT IT WAS DOING BEFORE THE DEATH OF HARIRI. ITS SAD THAT HE DIED, ITS SAD THAT 150 000 PPL DIED IN LEBANON DURING THE WAR, BUT THE STATION AND THE PPL IN LEBANON SHOULD TRY TO GET OVER IT AND GO BACK TO SOME FORM OF NORMALITY. This kind of tv programs is interesting coz it reveals many new talents. The death of el hariri was a sad event but I think that life should continue...

i agree with walid and moi,
the death of the harriri was reaaly desperate and sad, we should all remeber that time, but hes gone we cant do nothing the programs on t.v should continue, and we will always remeber the loving harrir, but life should go on and resume its normality.

A few weks ago on TV, Elias Rahbany said that although everything was ready, and have selected many applicants, SuperStar will be on hold for now since the country is still politically unstable, and hence dangerous to bring in people from other countries. Makes sense. I'd say perhaps after the elections things will become normal again...hopefully!

I think those profitable programs will not stoped at least for financiacl mattar.

I think they should get on with their lives.. Rafik El Hariri is the first great leader to die... Sheik Zayed died, too :(:(:(:( and the UAE is getting on with its life... I thought Future TV was gonna stop that mourning after the 40 day anniversary... I also heard that Miss Egypt 2004 (Heba EL Sissi ) is gonna take Rania's place :(:(

With all due respect to Sheik Zayed, the man died naturally and his death was kind of expected. While Mr Hariri died in the most horrible way immaginable and ended up as a charcoaled cadaver on the street, along with hundreds of innocent civilians who burned to death.
The wound is so deep and so horrible for those who live here and the emotional scar is not completely healed...
And it is not really appropriate in the near future to have another singing show on the very channel that Mr Hariri owns.
I think the TV will remain on mourning mode until the truth on the identity of the perpetrators is revealed. Anyhow the decision will be entirely up to the Hariri family whether to go on with the show or not.
If it's appropriate for them then it would be normal for the rest of the Lebanese.
Just yesterday I was in downtown beirut and was so glad to see that the social and commercial activities are being resumed, though slowly. Let's hope for the best.

u kinda have a point there, but, Mr. Hariri was muslim and the islamic beliefs state that mourning should not exceed 3 days after his death !!!!!! He's been dead for 72 days now.... an extra 69 days !!! MAY PEACE REST ON HIS SOUL AND SHEIKH ZAYED'S :(:(

What has happened in Lebanon was a huge tragic; very sad. Mr. Hariri was Lebanon's soul. He brought back life to Lebanon, especially Beirut.

I believe that if it wasn't because of Hariri's families decision, they would have not announced to go back to normal. Although, Lebanon has and is basically still going through a crisis, people should have something to relax after all these issues in Lebanon. I was there when the tragic happened. I felt the anger. But, not knowing what was going to be next, I had to leave the country. Now, everything seems to be going back to normal.
Whether everything goes back to normal or not, Mr. Hariri's death will always be remembered.

Although Star Academy was a distraction, Super Star is a different story that will distract not only the teenagers, but everyone from the crisis that the country is going through.

I have to agree with you, MOI.

None of the Lebanese politicians are saints. They all stole and made their ways through, and still act like nice, innocent people when it comes to the elections.
But, did anyone in the Lebanese government except for Hariri do anything good to Lebanon and to its people like Hariri did? Not that I know of.

I personally did not use to like him, nor know anything about him in the past. Because all what people used to say about him and show the Lebanese his bad sides. Until his death, they started pulling out his good sides.

Don't forget that he helped many people survive. He made Lebanon heaven. The Lebanese should give him credit for that.
Let's wait and see who is going to do what Hariri has done to Lebanon.

I know that super star will start soon this year at least ..
Future belonged to Mr. Hariri so it is normal when one father die people morn and think and do nothing but him ...
If the country was sad so how about his children (Future Zen TV)..
I think they have on future international change programs also slowly they made change to most programs .. they go the program song number one of rola bahnam ..
but it is wise with the bombs that took place not to have taken the risk to get the people to Lebanon not knowing what will happen next especially that future TV was hit before from evil people LBC did not, o it is good they did not get the young ones till at least the elections now are over ...
