Condolences to the Catholic Christian world; Pope John Paul II dies after a long struggle with sickness and pain at the age of 84 years.
Pope John Paul II was the 264's Pope, he was born in Poland, and became Pope in the year 1978.
He was a great man with a big heart, he worked for peace and justice and was a messanger of love.
May God rest his soul.

I am sorry for the big loss of Jean Paul II...He was a great man...
I watched a documentary about him yesterday.
I admired the fact that he didn't give into american pressure to change the catholic church policies to cater to them, for example, by allowing female priests or accepting homosexuality.
I don't like the fact that he was a key catalyst in the demise of communism in Eastern Europe, ultimately wiping out the world's other superpower and because of it, we live under American Authoritarianism.

What a sad day. A big loss of his holiness JOHN PAUL II Allah yer7amo ya rab. He was such a wonderful man who was respected and also a man of peace. He was suffering and God remembered him!

He stood by Lebanon a lot
He ordained Patriarch Sfeir as a Cardinal and sanctified two more Lebanese saints Saint Rafqa and Saint Hardini, and his visit to Lebanon was amongst his most successful.
He broke the Italian hegemony on Papacy being the first non-italian pope in 400 years.
He endured occupation of his native Poland first by the Nazis and then by the Comunists.
He made peace with former church nemesis either Muslims, Jews, Protestants or Orthodox.
He worked for peace, and peacefully he succeeded in breaking the comunist rule in Europe starting with his beloved Poland.
He opposed war on Iraq and everywhere.
A big historical personilaty who will live a big emptiness, especially in the hearts of the Christians and the Lebanese Catholics namely.

It's a literal translation of a Lebanese expression "alla tzakkaro" which means just that, taking his soul.
