I think Lebanese audiences have enough hard time coping with the fact that all students are from different nationalities, races and backgrounds. Extending that to teachers will real hurt the Lebanese flavor of the show, which makes it attractive in the first place and cause much discontent.
So why don't Arab countries make their own shows and leave us alone?

I think the whole nominee systeem is fault.
They most let the people vote for 50% for the students and the other 50% from the teachers. This will make the vote systeem a lil bit better.

Uhh i'm not saying he is A BAD PERSON. and that was MY OPINION i didn't said it's the OPINION OF all the people ;) ;).
As i said i really like Hisham he is funny and he helps all the studens etc. but i don't see him as THE STAR OF THE ACADEMY. in MY EYES Katja is the star. She speaks 3 languges/ she look good/ she have a good voice (with more practis it wil be better)/ she act good/.
But after ALl this is my opinion.

Everyone is missing an important point here: It doesn't matter what nationalities the teachers are, the teachers are there to help the students reach their dream. So why are people being so unappreciative, if it wern't for these teachers and the judges of the star acaemy who are mostly lebanese as the programme happens to be based in Beirut, then all the students of star academy wud not have had the opportunity of a lifetime and an opportunity to get their dream.

Even if they criticise their students its their job to do so in order to help them improve further.

what i can't understand is why people in the arab countries diffrentiate between cultures!! so what if the teachers are all leb?! so what if the teachers were all kuwaity?!! u know it doesnt matter all that matters is that they have the skills to create stars for the future! and in my opinion they are very well educated in the area they are working in! especially vocalise with marie and dancing with ellisar. thank you.

Just reading the comments on this web site just proves how divided we are. Let's face it; we arabs cannot NOT be biased and have favouritism for contestants from our own countries.

Imagine, for a second, that the tutors were as follows:

1 Lebanese
1 Syrian
1 Egyptian
1 Maroccan
1 Saudi

Everyone would accuse the lebanese judge of hating the syrian students, the saudi judge of the Kuwaiti students, and the maroccan and egyptian judges of favouriting their own till the end.

No, no. Leave it as is; judges from one country. The academy is in Lebanon, the tutors are lebanese. in my opinion their professional expertise are apparent and quite accurate.

I'm sorry but it seems that I wasn't that clear when I posted my pervious comment.

I meant to be diverse in our mentality and attitude, by introducing other cultures and customs to our daily life and not stick to what we know or what surrounds us! with diverse mentality one can acknowledge that not everything is about politics! in the contrary there are other things like art, singing and performing art that has nothing to do with all the illogical comments people are posting here! I cant believe it, I'm Iraqi but I love Ahmed H and I think he should win, because in MY OPINION he is very sensitive and amazingly emotional when he perform, his voice has a deep loving tone! !!! so what's the big deal, this is an Academy for students that want to develop a certain talent! not a show to bring up the issue of which country should win or those people that post bad comments about Lebanon!

Sherif that's what I meant by diverse knowledge of information! and as you can see I mentioned in my previous message that I totally agree that they should not change the judges because they are very professional and they work hard for this show to be loved by all!

Thank you both for upur comments and opinoons. Im glad im not the only one thinging in this way. This makes me feel so hopeful that yes there are still arabic people out there that are diverse in their mentality (as you said nunu) i thooght most of them had become extinct!!!

Are you two livin in arab countries or not? Usually the place you live in has a great affect on the way you think. Im not in an arabic country at the moment.

Sherif has made an excellent point that if there were judges from different countries they woud be blamed for being racist/biased, but as the lebanese judges have proven for two years running not one lebanese has won the game and reached somewhere far with there career, where have cyntia and bruna gone? where will katia and samer and imane (one of the first to leave) go? You see, equality is present in the academy teachers and i praise them for their hard work and commnitment! thanks! : )

In case you weren't following the comments on this web site thoroughly (My line of work allows me to do so!) you would have noticed that alot of syrians are blaming the tutors for kicking Joy out, especially since the Hariri assassination was still fresh in their minds. Also some people disapprove of the guest stars being brought onto the prime shows, many undeserving. I mean who wants to see Carole Semaha. Seriously! And the academy needs to consider the public response and welcoming of guest appearances of Hayfa Wahbe or Sabah. They should not be performing. The people at the prime may be cheering but the people at home are mocking them.

But basically you'll find that the non-biased commenters are better educated, more cultured than the others.

IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE NATIONALITY OF THE STUDENT-WINNER IS OR WHAT THE NATIONALITY OF THE ACADEMY TEACHER IS...
1. The current Academy teachers are very good... 2. All Arab people are brothers and let the best student win...

Last year, from the 2nd or 3rd week into Star academy 1, I chose M.Ateyya and Bashar to be in the final.

This year I chose, right from the start, Amani and Zizi to be in the final. Now that hasn't happened yet, but it proves that if you are not biased and focus on talent, you'll see that the tutors are doing and great job in choosing nominees, and also proves that most of the voters are also choosing by non-biased approach.

Different Arab judges! That was all we needed.
Lebanese viewers still have hard time accepting the idea of a Pan-Arab bunch of students of different backgrounds, dialects (unintelligible) and skin colors. Diversifying the judges' panel would only sap the Lebanese flavor of the show, the very thing that makes it attractive in the first place.
So I'd suggest that each arab country make its own version of the program, namely as it pisses off some backward people from the fact that it's a French program, the same people that pay their money and spend long hours on a program where they claimed to be pissed of by Lebanese clothes and foreign performances.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy because Hisham is nominee because I hate him so much he was nomenee with Katia and Bashar and their out because of him Katia is very nice I miss her so much.
