This Friday prime was very nice, touchy and full of surprises. Carol Samaha was the first guest to start singing along with Zizi which her performance today was very good. Then and this time earlier than before, the nominees Samer & Bashar were invited to join the rest of the students starting with Samer & a quick review about him then Hilda asked Zizi and Amani to come and sing, after which Bashar came to sing and also a review about him at the academy and why he was chosen nominee again…
After that the first surprise was there, Bashar Kaisi singing along with Hisham and Ahmad, the longest part of the song was shared by Hisham and Bashar...
Second Surprise, Ahmad Hussein nephews entered and one of them sing too.
Later on, the students sing a very nice song on the occasion of Mothers day each student with his mother except for Ahmad H. and Hisham.
Carol Samha came again and this time she shared a song with Amani and when the song ended, Carol kissed and hugged Amani because Amani really did well.
Guess who came after that? it was the third surprise, Rula invited Bashar Kaisi’s mother from Iraq, it was a touchy moment, and Bashar was very happy, the rest of the students too were happy for him.
Ahmad H. & Hisham sing again together, and just after the song was finished, the forth surprise was on … Hisham’s brother was their, and Hisham made a quick comment: ‘Finally you remembered me, I thought I was forgotten..’
All the students preformed a nice song together again. Then the fifth surprise came… This time the surprise was dedicated to the teachers of Star Academy, their mothers were invited to come and share this prime with their children. It was really a very nice surprise and very thoughtful of Madame Rula to consider that and think of it. The students shared this moment of joy with their teachers whom each one was holding her/his mother.
Finally, the prime ended by welcoming a legend of Lebanon .. Sabah .. along with a review about her career that is full of things such as a 3500 songs that she recorded during her career and several movies with different famous actors.
At the end, the result of voting was announced, and the votes to Bashar G. were slightly bigger than Samer and so he was the one to stay and continue at the academy while Samer has to leave … He thanked everybody and also sang a last song before he left.

LBC keeps coming up with great ideas in a very decent, professional and touching package.
Carole Samaha was stunning in her dress and toned body, however she could've opted for a more discreet make up.
Sabah was rather frightening although it's admirable that a woman her age still dresses stylishly and makes stage appearances. Her very whitish make up and hairdo made her look even more old. But the tribute medley of her songs was nice.
I hate to admit it, but Zizi looked better last night than she usually does.
Amani's voice is a sheer wonder but she keeps getting more boring.
The results of the voting were expected. Lebanon CAN NEVER win a popular vote but I cheer Samer for this rather close result to another Arab contestant. Hard luck sweety and best of luck in your life either in study or in showbiz.
The surprise with the professor's mothers was really touching and did you notice how young Alissar and Michel's mothers looked?
They could be mistaken for their elder sisters ;)
Finally and though I am a greatest fan of Bashar Qaissy whom I find very handsome and nice and talented on his own way, I think his stay in the Academy is way overdue and out of place.

The prime was great, minus the ending.
I was really hoping for Samer to stay but I knew he wasn't going too because Lebanon has no chance but I was surprised when he got 46% and Bashar got 53%, very close. Congratulations Lebanon. :] + Did you guys see when Samer left? all the people were yelling his name & hugging him and then he went to the restaurant he used to waiter at and Salma was there! It looked great.
I wish them the best of luck and I hope they'll be in the Star Academy tour.
Might I add, the students looked fabulous yesterday.

Now to review the prime. I think it was a good prime and I liked the outcome. The mothers singing with thier children was dumb. The song is for mothers not from them. They should not overdo the guests because then the fact that someone is visiting will not be a big deal anymore. I am glad Bashar Q. is gone even though he is a nice guy it is not fair that he is thier. He should not have gottento sing with the others as if he was still in the competition. Well he really was a nice guy (though a bit off a show off) and good luck too him. The mistake with Ahmed H. , Hisham, and Bashar Q. was sort of funny. I have to give them credit though because Ahmed actually sang from a song he hadn't practiced. They all did well with that. Bashar G won which made me happy. Samer was a good singer and a nice guy and I was happy to hear him sing one last time. bashar in the end was the better candidate and glad he's back. I wonder who will be the nominees. I do not want Ahmed H, BasharG., Zizi, orHisham to go because they are the bests.

Hey, I think yesterday's prime was great but i think Samer should have stayed because to me he is better and his voice is really good.Samer is so good but his score was close so that's good. Bashar G. should have left. i'm going to miss Samer. Good luck to all the contestants and to Samer in the future.

Amany wants the viewers to sympathize with her by crying. She is artificial in every thing. I have realized that she tell lies - when Osama comments on her singing she will give excuses and start cryig but when he praises her she will start saying yes I was in a good mood and so on. ( i feel Osama is afraid of her ). Also, she pretended she loved joy - why she did not vote for her.
I think the Staracademy2 could have been better without her. Ok she has nice voice but really without taste.

I'm so glad selma left the Academy. She had no voice, she just had an elegant style.
She was not natural, she was always acting like a man.
Her accent was horrible, why wasn't she talking with her Algerian accent? I remember I saw 3 years ago the great Algerian singer Zahwaniyé in a Jordanian Channel and she was speaking Algerian and I could understand her (not everything but it was OK) , the same for Fulla ABABSA (beautiful accent). These 2 singers are great. Whereas, Selma just speaks Lebanese (c'est plus classe elle trouve). Et son accent libanais est nul, de même pour son accent français... L'algérien parle mieux français qu'elle. I met a lot of Algerians and they have a better French level than Selma.
Furthermore, she has just lived in Dubai for 2 years and she keeps talking about Dubai, she never mentions Algeria where she's stayed 24 years. Is she ashamed of her country?
She was so boring and stupid when she was singing "jamais jamais jamais", en plus elle faisait trop de manières débiles avec ses yeux. I wanted to puke when she was singing. And she was always forgetting the songs' lyrics. That 's why she just used to sing half a song during the prime
Autre chose 26 ans alle avait alors que la moyenne d'âge était de 20 ans. She was too old for that TV program. And what was she doing at the prime???
The best contestants are Ahmad H (he's great) and Amani (even though I don't really like her).
Last but not least, what was Bachar Qaissi doing in the Academy during 2 weeks???? He was not supposed to be there!!! Why didn't they choose Fahd, Joy, Hanane, Ahmad S????

There's nothing wrong to say good things about a country that is not your own. The strange thing I note is that EVERYONE and EVERYBODY follow our programs who are the best by all means, and then hate to say how good we are for reasons I always failed to admit.
Sadly enough Europeans and Americans appreciate the Lebanese culture much more than Middle Eastern countries.
I thank you once again and hope that more people appreciate VERBALLY what the Lebanese do despite their hard political and economic situations.
