LBC Star Academy 2 Prime – 11.march.2005 –

Jordanian Bashar Ghazawi

Tonight's guests were Lebanese Star Elissa, and Egyptian singer Khaled Ajaj. Unlike any other prime, this was the first time the nominees are only two; Jordanian Bashar Ghazawi and Algerian Salma Ghazali.
Hilda looked as beautiful as always and extremely cool in a casual blue jeans and a formal green top.
This week there were only 3 top students and they were: 3. Ahmad H. 2. Katia 1. Amani.

As usual the prime had lots of portraits and tableau's, one of which was very impressive and it was taken from the very famous movie "Saturday Night Fever", in addition to the weekly duo, which was performed by Katia and Amani, and the weekly medley.

There were many surprises this time; the first was for Salma. A strange story of a Jordanian kid who loves Salma so much that he actually took the whole months salary of his dad and bought prepaid mobile phone cards in order to use them all to vote for her! Strange that her would vote for her and not for his fellow Jordanian! In all cases, this kid got the chance to appear on T.V and meet Salma personally.

Amani Hugging here Mother

The second surprise was for Amani, she got a special visit from her mom, who came from Tunisia to see her after 2 months of being apart.
There was also a surprise for Zizi, where she got a total makeover; a new wardrobe and a new hair do which actually suits her!

The last surprise was for Bashar Qaisi, who had a week to spend with his friends at the academy, and now had to leave, well he didn’t! He got another week of luxury at the academy to spend with the rest of the students.
Elissa started off the prime with her famous song "Kol Yom Fi Omri" –everyday in my life, accompanied by Katia. She also sang another song with Zizi and Samer, and a she performed a song alone called "Hubbak Waja'" –your love is pain.

Khaled Ajaj also performed two songs during this prime, one called "Wala Mara" –not once, which he sang with Hisham. He also sang a song alone called "Bint El Arab" –the Arab girl.

The most important part for the prime came last, the results of the voting for the two nominees, and the majority of the votes (55.33%) went to Bashar G. who will have another chance in the academy, while Salma has her freedom to go home.
Who will the nominees be next week ?

I think Hisham should be a nominee next week. Congratulations to Bashar! However, I feel very bad for Salma because she did work hard and she was a great person. Best of luck to her! Samer was soo good this prime. Except for the Saturday Night Fever finale mishap, he was awesome. His singing was awesome and he looked gorgeous! Best of luck to him! Bhibak ya Samer!!!

Selma, It was high time u left Star Academy!!!!
    U've stayed too long.
I've never really liked BACHAR G. but I voted for for him just because i wanted Selma to get out.

All the teachers asked her not to forget the lyrics of the songs, to be more natural and to learn how to pronounce in arabic, she always says "ya layl, ya layl" with a foreign accent and Oussama Rahbani told her "Does ur family come from Sorbonne?", which indirectly mean "Do u have French origins?". She says "No".
She's Algerian and never talked about her country.

Her behavior with the others : she's always giving orders and trying to impose her rules.

And did u see how she started yelling and crying when Wale Kfoury called her on the phone?????

Like a kid!!! SHE'S 26 !!!!!! Normally above 25 , u're not allowed to enter star ac but they needed someone from Algeria to show that they accept contestants from all Arab Countries.

She has beautiful hair though. That's all I can say. BUT MY GOD HER FRENCH IS HORRIBLE, SPECIALLY WHEN SHE PRONOUNCES THE END OF A WORD. When she sings "jamais jamais", it makes me want to puke, it makes me sick. I WANT TO YACK when I hear Selma singing ............

    TONY
  1. soussou | March 12, 2005 12:13 AM

    katia, u are ugly.
But they are going to choose u , u're gonna be the star even though i don't like u. They want someone from Lebanon.
People u don't need to vote beacause it's obvious ttht Katia is gonna win.
Zizi, u act like a man, u think u're funny, mahdoume, but you suck
    I'm with Ahmad H.

  1. leica | March 12, 2005 2:24 AM

Zizi----good voice, cute but her new look isnt too great but again u get take into consideration that she is still 17..lot of us looked geeky when we were that age
Katia----eventhough i am lebanese but i really cant stand her she is a sneaky fake....she used to be all up bashar's ass now she ignores him and she is all up samer's ass even today when salma was leaving i didnt see her with her all the time eventhough they seemed like they were besst friends she just sucks
Salme....she should be in star academy france but still i liked her she was cute and friendly
Amani........she is depressing just looking at her depresses me...i dont know maybe cause she had a bad life but still u are a singer u should chear ppl up and not depress them
and as for the boys i dont care but the academy without hisham would be boring he kind of creates a good atmosphere

  1. Not Fair | March 12, 2005 3:08 AM

Ok, I'm upset that Selma left the academy because she brought a lot of happiness to the academy and tended to bring down the tension between all the little girl cat-fights that the annoying Katia tended to produce. But it was also a nice sense of style that Selma brought to the academy (she may have been a little revealing at times but was still nice looking in her own little way). SECOND issue for me at hand was the topic of Bashar from Iraq coming back to the academy. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT? I'm sorry but i personally don't get what is sooo special about him. It's not like he actually is from IRAQ anyways he stated sooo many times that he is living in Paris and hasn't been to see his family in soo long so technically he can't consider himself and Iraqi. ASWELL HE LEFT THE ACADEMY FROM VOTES FROM HIS FRIENDS AND THE VIEWERS, IT'S NOT FAIR TO LET HIM BACK IN. If they let Bashar back in for a SECOND week as well is just totally unfair to people that we actually enjoyed seeing that got voted out and aren't being brought back to the academy. HECK I WOULD LIKE TO SEE JOY COME BACK!!!!!! WHy only him???? Totally being unfair to all the other students that were actually talented that left the academy. Anyways hope thers people out there that actually agree with me because its just not fair to keep letting the same dumb person be a guest in the academy.

bashar Q is iraqi and he represents us iraqis. just beacause he does not live in iraq does not make him not iraqi missy, if you suffered a war after war like we did then you would too not live in iraq, so watch what you say about him.

  1. TrustMe | March 12, 2005 5:04 AM

I think Mme. Roula should kick Hisham's and Ahmed's butts out of the academy for cutting the phone cord and electrocuting the door handle! Such people definitely come from "behind the cows" [min wara al baqar], as we say in Lebanon; they have no respect for property or others when they threw water on sleeping Ghaz! Especailly Ahmad; he's such a bully and the silliest guy in the academy!
Hey.life is back in the academy since Qaissi's return, even tho Katia is ignoring him, but seems Amani is going after him. I also think they should bring Joy back next week to be with Bachar Q, and make Katia jealous all over again!

    TrustMe
  1. adadjl | March 12, 2005 6:40 AM

Agree 100% with TrustMe...They are so disrespectful, trashy, hateful and exactly as you say "They come from the cows." I am Lebanese, I know exactly what that means. Shoo mish leba2lon to dance to Stayin' Alive and to perform in such wonderful scenes with the best costumes and so much class. Does anyone remember when they purposely broke the cd so that Amani wouldn't be able to use it? Or when they tried to break the cameras by throwing rocks at them? Or how they pay no attention when someone tells them "It's 1:30 AM please be more quiet, we are trying to sleep." Tasteless, classless, bghal, w7oosh. And the sad part is they are going to win because the people that vote for them are just like them, and they are the majority.

You guys what the hell are you saying I am an egyptian and I think Amani has the nicest voice then comes Zizi then Katia who still sings from her nose... Zizi looked nice but I don't like the curly hair on her she has a small face that should not carry all this hair.... anyways it is muuuuuch better than before.. before she was very balady I hope her whole style changes too. I love Beesh G.'expressive eyes & Hesham Ahmed Hussein is good too Samer STINKS mish maa3oula ya gama3a he should go he is a nice bloke bass yaani mafish sawt wala ehsas wala haga

I comlpetly agree that salma has no voice, that her frensh is horrible, and that she behaves with vulgarity,( so she didnt deverve to be in staracademy) but i just want u to know that its very difficult for her to change her pronunciation in arabic!! all the algerians talk that way and it is really hard for them to change!!So cant blame her!!

    MALIKA, YA MALIKA,
Don't get upset, you got me wrong.
What I said is that i wanted Selma to speak with her own accent!!! Her Algerian accent!!! Why was she speaking Lebanese????? It didn't make sense. The only time I heard her speaking with her own accent was when she had a squabble with Amani. I wanted to hear the Algerian accent!! Even when Selma's sister came to Star Academy , she started speaking in French !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C'est con!!!! Pourquoi avoir honte de son accent???There is no bad accent !!!

THIS WAS PRIME WAS REALLY HARSH BECAUSE THEY HAD TWO GREAT CONTESTANTS UP THERE: SALMA WHO BRINGS A LIFE TO THE ACADEMY, AND BASHAR, THE GREAT AND QUIET GUY!
ANYWAYS, I AM HAPPY THAT BASHAR STAYED BUT SAD THAT SALMA LEFT.
AS FOR KATIA, I HOPE THAT SHE WINS STAR ACADEMY, BECAUSE SHE DESERVES IT, BUT SHE WONT BECAUSE THE OTHER ARAB COUNTRIES ARE THE ONES WHO VOTE THE MOST!

    Hey guys ...

I expected salma to go out this week .. it was quite obvious ... and bashar g is in quite a lot of ways better than her anyway ...

I just wanted to say to people that swearing and hating on the students is not really guna get u all anywhere .. instead of using foul language .. turn it into a constructive criticism of the student's voices, abilities, attitudes whatever u like .. just dont turn it into a BIG fight mixed with politics and god knows what else, like i read in other forums ...

For me personally i really didnt see selma creating a very fun atmosphere ..but i guess she had her brief moments of fun ... i dont hate the girl .. but i have to admit a lot of the time she really did get on my nerves .. she was just too exaggerated in the way she talks and i didnt really see her calming down any fights it was more like she was igniting them with her short temper .. i found her to be quite rough with the girls (her attitude) and there would quickly be an argument ...

Having said that she is really pretty ... and at times she did seem to be a really genuine nice person .. but she was just getting to much lately ...

Anywayz good luck to her and hope she does well in whatever she chooses to do in the future .. she is human after all and thats just her personality...
