Although I never liked the guy, still NO ONE should die this way.
It was horrible. I heard the explosion though I live 20 kilometers away from Beirut.
Yesterday was a black day to all of us, christians and muslims alike.
Beirut, the symbol of our rebirth from the ashes, was turned once again to ashes.
It is a deep wound we will never forget.
Maybe Hariri did not help our economy to improve but at least he wasn't a murderer like many of the lebanese governing class.
If anything, he was killed for his stance and for that he deserves the respect of everyone.
My deepest condolences to Hariri's family and everyone who fell in this awful massacre.
The situation in the country is highly tense and we don't know what'll happen next.

I am shocked by the language you guys are using to insult each other. Lebanese people are frustrated because the syrian troops have caused lots of problems for our families and for our beloved country. I personnally have 3 cousins and friends that were killed by the syrians because they believed in a free Democratic Lebanon for all his sons and daughters. I do not agree with Marcelle. I do understand however her frustration. The syrians would also be frustrated if the Lebanese troops were in Syria for an extended period of time (more than 25 years). I have nothing against the syrian people but I would like the syrians to get out of Lebanon and to let us live alone.

People, instead of arguing, using rude words, or insulting each other, u should be more mature. After all, we're supposed to express our condolences to the members of the Hariri's family and to all Lebanese.
I'm Syrian and I love my country. I also love Lebanon and I wish the best to that "Switzerland of the Arab world". I'm very sad to see that it's going upside down there. May Hariri's soul rest in peace. AND PEACE TO LEBANON.

It's sad to see the two nations that are attached no matter what whether it's through culture, customs, marriage (about 90% of Lebanese families have some sort of Syrian blood through marriages, etc.), etc.
I don't know why Lebanese think they are superior to the rest of the arab world. No doubt you are great people as well as the rest of God's creations.
Before creating a new enemy who's now listed as no. one enemy to the people of Lebanon (ahead of Israel)...
It's a shame to see us arabs judge a neighbouring country who's had ties for centuries and centuries...
It's obvious the US came short of naming Syria as the number one suspect to create more tension in the region...
wake up arabs, lebanese, syrians, and all.
STOP DISCRIMINATING AGAINST SYRIANS. TENSIONS CREATE MORE TROUBLE IN THE REGION. KEEP THAT IN MIND BEFORE TAKING FURTHER ACTIONS. SAVE YOUR REGION!
