LBC Star Academy Prime 14-1-2005

LBC Star Academy Prime 3

This week the prime was much better than the first. The students performed well, there were no microphone glitches and Hilda didn’t screw up in her lines!
Unfortunately, there was one strange thing that happened towards the last part of the prime; after a huge quantity of balloons were released from the ceiling of the stage, there were constant “popping” sounds that lasted for around 10 minutes! They were even audible while Lebanese singer Yuri Markadi was singing!

In all cases, the prime was not bad all in all...

The students of the academy had a chance to sing with the renowned Lebanese singer Nawal Zughbi, and Lebanese star Yuri Markadi as well. There was also an appearance by Egyptian singer … Habib, which shared the stage with Bahraini student Ahmad Salah El-Din.

The nominees, as we all already know, were Anas from Libya for the second time in a row, Iman from Lebanon also for the second time in a row and Hanan from Morocco for the first time.

It was expected that the audience would save Anas by voting, and the choice would have to be between Iman and Hanan.
It was obvious that the students had a difficult time chosing, but in the end they favoured Iman to Hanan.

During this prime, the first surprise was given to one of the students; Joy Basous from Syria got the surprise on stage and was stunned to see her father, mother and both her grand moms with a huge cake to celebrate her 20th birthday with her.

Happy Birthday Joy.

    A MADAME ROULA SAAD:

in the prime, i thought yuri was great! he sang really well, although he messed up alot of notes but the leats was done!........as for nawal zeghoubi, whos considred one of the best among arabic singers, she liped singed for one of her songs which's really disapointing.
as for the students, hanan was great in her second song, with the first one she did not try her best. amani, i love her, shes truly a star. selma and anas did not sing, they talked. let me out it this way they dont have a voice.

I agree with Sahar. I think the prime was good but the voting was unfair. I think Star Academy is a great show but it needs some fixing. I also want to thank you, Madame Roula Saad, for ur hard work to make this show as good as it is, but I insist that the fact that Hanane was out is very unfair.

As Hanan is out, unfortunately! Moroccans are voting for Amani because she represents the good project of a succesful future artiste: a wonderfull voice and Moreover she is a well bred girl unlike Fahed who is really a shame for Koweiti people and Hisham Abou Kercha who is doing nothing but eating!
Inshalla Amani will be the star!

  1. noor | January 16, 2005 2:11 AM

ok hanan was sweet a lot like sofia right.. but atleast sofia could speak arabic hanan doesnt really know how to in that case there is another show for the french so ummm how about try to apply for something u can understand.. dont get me wrong hanan is beautifull and talented AND DONT ANY OF U DARE THINK ITS A RACIAL ISSUE CUZ ITS NOT !! SO STOP ACCUSING US ARABS OF BEING PREJUDICE CUZ WE OUR SELF COME IN DIFF SHADES AND COLORS !! SO DONT ACUSE AND LEARN UR LANGUAGE !!!

    noor
  1. Selma | January 16, 2005 2:25 AM

    Noor:
Not liking or voting for a person because they speack a language is also called racism. She didn't speak french very well, she new how to speack Moroccan arabic which most of the candidates don't understand. French was the easiest language for her to speak so that others can understand her. So, she shouldn't be critisised because she spoke french. Sophia also has dificulty in the beginning but she had a chance and time to learn, that's the only difference.

  1. Layla | January 16, 2005 4:27 AM

I dont understand why Anas is getting so many votes each time. It's obvoius that his voice is not as good as any of the others.I hope people arent voting for him because of his looks because that does not make a star.I didnt hear any improvement at all in him from last week either. there is no comparisson between him and Hanane.
I'm sure Anas is a nice person and he's very good looking but he doesnt have enought talent to stay at the Academy.

  1. K and R from lebanon | January 16, 2005 5:31 AM

I think that the judges should leave anas alone because it is clear that he is going to keep winning by the people. If he keeps going like this, there is a chance of alot of people leaving the academy because they cannot compare to Anas's scores. They should also stop putting Iman because she is keep winning and no matter how much the last nominee tries, the same thing is going to happen over and over again. Also, all the GIRLS are leaving the academy, we are already down to 6 girls, they should put boys as the nominees so atleast a boy can leave. As for Nawal, her preformance was terrible when she sang live. Its not fair that the students choose a candidate because they are friends with them or they are from their country, because the point of the students choosing is to identify who should stay in the academy, like who is stronger in voice and should get a second chance in trying to do better, not just choosing your friends or the person from your country. o and one more thing.. SELMA YOU ROCK!!!!

Cheerful greetings to all forum's "lover fellows" here for your indeliberate mutual support in supplying this “unnavigatable” site that lacks, and severely suffers total disarrangements with your vigorous activities, and entertain fellows over-stuffed with inertia, and lost-sense-of-time with pettiness at its pinnacle levels. Using “I” distresses me for the impression it gives of self-arrogance, self-centered, and a buff of vanity to its user, but I failed to find a synonym that immunes its user from such accusations. I recently happened to hear murmurs, and chitchats from individuals on something that I first perceived as “Academy awards” that all of a sudden were incorporated somewhere in Lebanon, and guess what, happened to be called “Academy stars” instead. My googling expeditions finally throw me here to have the pleasure of meeting you. My petty dear Academy stars, Lebanon, and its neighboring nations (including mine) have prior needs, and sought for gradual developments to take place on its youngsters’ arms, and for you to waste their vigorous energies and level of intellectualities to solely ensure your grasp on your lucrative revenues is intolerable, and cannot be pretexted in all means. The posted-forums were more than what it is considered of an adequate proves of your disastrous side effects. Guys you were intrigued by them, within the posted threads, I read malicious attempts to toss people down on such lame-criteria, and groundless basis, on their god-given voices, and looks which solely reflects the very shallow nature, shallow level of intellectuality, a lack of comprehending life, unproductivitey, no goals at all, only pointless points! and etc –Where would handicaps fit into your petty criterion, or is it about few individual’s “good being”, or is it about moneymaking – the answer remains unidentified and mysteriously interesting to sought an answer for. You may have the right to accuse this post as being highly conservative, or cautious or the very redundantly said myth “closed-minded’, but do not label yourselves with moderate attitudes “far from it”, Perhaps what is highly controversial is one’s claim of rejecting discriminations whether it is racial or has some other forms, and yet judging people’s talents, and skills based on “looks”. I as a youngster and as retaliation for my all-fellow youngsters that have been tossed down, that you were responsible for their thwarted ambitions; I say, “your words have no ground, nor reasons”.
