Qamar Bidwan at the Jordanian Song Festival


Under the symbol “Towards Young Jordanian Voices”, the Jordanian Song Festival will be launched on December 2, 2004 under the patronage of his Majesty King Abdullah II and her Majesty Queen Rania in Jordan. The festival will last until December 23 and will take place at the Cultural Palace at Al Hussein Sport City in Amman.

During the past three years, the Jordanian Song Festival has been a success; presenting young Jordanian voices that truly have potential of being great singers on the Arab level such as the beautiful Jordanian singer Qamar Bidwan, which did win first prize in the past festivals. She will be participating this year with two songs by the famous Egyptian singer Mohammad Abdul Wahab.

One of the names that will also be participating is Mohammad El-Saoudi, he will be singing traditional Halabi songs such as “Qadduka al Mayas”.
It has been revealed that Tunisian singer Latifa has received an invitation from the organization committee of the festival to be one of the judges. The singer has agreed to take part in the festival and will attend the final day of the festival, which will be brought live on the Jordanian local and satellite television channels.

    I think Qamar Bidwan should win. she has a beautiful voice.
